“My dog LOVES going to Alison’s! She has gone for daycare and has boarded with her and Alison always provides exceptional care. She is professional, caring and overall just amazing! She sends me plenty of videos and updates on how my dog is doing with her and my dog always looks like she is having the best time. Alison even takes the time to give her a flower for her collar before giving her back to me at the end of the day! 10/10 would recommend Alison!!”

“Joseph and Jessyka have been watching over my one year old husky throughout the day while I’m at work and I’m more than grateful for it. They send me updates and pictures of shadow throughout the day. He always has fun with their two other dogs and when I pick him up he’s always in a happy mood and all tired out. I 100% recommended them to watch over your furry friends.”

About: I grew up on a small farm in rural Ohio raising cattle, goats, and chickens, and I always had a four legged companion by my side. My passion for animals began before I learned how to walk. I enjoyed training our dogs before I even knew that it was a job. I spent many days shadowing our local veterinarian just for fun. After separating from the military last year I became a veterinary technician in Clovis but now have big dreams of starting up my own rescue. I have fostered dogs and cats in the area for four years now and would like to extend my experience and care for animals to all those in the area. As long as your pet is in my care I can promise that they are safe, loved, and comfortable! I am available for all offered services weekdays and weekends. This is not only my passion but my number one priority. I am very flexible so don’t hesitate to reach out! I have two extra rooms I use if your pet would prefer to have it’s own space (or even just decompress), a fenced in backyard, a pool if they like swimming, and my own dogs and one cat to play with if they would like! I also have extra crates and plenty of toys and beds/blankets.

About: I have fostered as well as dog sit for multiple people. I make sure the pups are more than welcome and happy and healthy. I also enjoy daily dog park trips 💕 I work from home so your babies will be cared for with all the love my own dogs are. I have a pretty open schedule to do drop ins as well. 💕 My dogs have helped many foster babies warm up to others. I have a big fenced yard with open access to my house so they can feel free to roam as they need.

About: Update 08/2022: Bad news for my Rover clients. Someone dumped a kitten on me, so now I don't know what that means for boarding dogs. Then I found out my neighbor abandoned his dog in a pen to go work out of state and had a friend check up on him. How cruel. My beloved canine, Willamina "Bundle Bear," is deceased now. :( She didn't like Melrose and I don't blame her. She had a nicer life in San Diego (after being rescued from the county shelter!) She wouldn't allow me to have big dogs over, but I guess they can stay over now. FYI, Melrose, NM is 17 miles away from Cannon AFB. My neighbor and I are golf partners, but if I am sitting a dog, I won't go golfing, I will stay home with the doggie and we'll walk to the park or something. I've got a fenced in yard with a covered patio. I plan to expand the fence to under the pine tree. I take dogs on walks (sometimes with my neighbor, Lewis, and his dog, Brodie.) I tuck small dogs into bed with blankets and make sure they are cozy. I freshen the water bowls with filtered water. I will roll out lots of plastic sheets if necessary, so don't worry if your dog is having health problems that affect bathroom issues. I'm a vegan anti-natalist animal activist. Don't breed or buy while animals die. Do you know what's great about me being a Rover sitter? Dogs need good sitters so their owners aren't trapped! Maybe more people will rescue homeless animals when they don't feel like having a pet restricts their freedoms to travel. FYI: read this: Glyphosate found in cat and dog food Date: October 24, 2018 Source: Cornell University Summary: A new study finds that glyphosate, the active herbicidal ingredient in widely used weed killers like Roundup, was present at low levels in a variety of dog and cat foods the researchers purchased at stores. Before you go switching Fido or Fluffy's favorite brand, however, be aware that the amounts of the herbicide found correspond to levels currently considered safe for humans. ---- I'm a member of the bar. NM is a corrupt state that allows non lawyers to serve as judges and prosecutors and they are jealous of real lawyers. Aside from my Rover business, I have a legal research business, but a lawyer simply wanted to profit off me and take credit for my genius. He threw a tantrum instead of agreeing to pay a holiday surcharge, so I dismissed him. I've also got an excellent one-of-a-kind food blog, Vegan Town USA. I like to recycle, but Curry County, NM is "Dirty Curry" and hardly provides any recycling opportunities. Melrose has no public library. It has no storm drains and hardly any sidewalks. There's no automatic trash pickup (yet the trash fee is outrageous) and only one recycle bin (for cardboard.) Many Melrose residents keep their dogs penned outside all the time to suffer. It's horrible. Animals deserve to be treated with respect. The Melrose government selected a tweaker over a member of the bar to fill a vacancy on the council because of their sexism and incompetence, but oh no, the tweaker didn't last. Melrose has a law that says it's unlawful to willfully kill any animal (Village of Melrose, Ch. 6, Sec. 9.) But the USPS posts signs soliciting the violation of this law (like signs from Ernest Riley and others selling the corpses of animals they murder.) When I complain to the USPS about this problem, they get a non-lawyer (Rodolfo Sanchez, the Postmaster) to call me and refer to the law I cited as a "religious belief.") If you know any US Attorneys, please tell them about this problem. The USPS also has an embezzlement ring here and probably West Texas and tons of my mail has been stolen or simply not delivered. The USPS Inspector General and Consumer & Industry Contact do not handle the problem. An agent with the Office of the Inspector General couldn't catch the thieves. The USPS in Melrose does NOT collect paper for recycling even though it does in neighborhoods across America where the residents already have curbside recycling. Logical? Is America really "great"? Look around at all the suffering, pollution, hypocrisy, and incompetence. The one good thing in Melrose closed in July 2022. It was a thrift store called The Cover Up where everything was free. And do you know what's unconstitutional about the Senior Center? There is no public library! Thus, according to the former director, Christie, you have to be a "member of the congregate" (age 60 or older) in order to use the free Wi-Fi even though there is no public library for all ages to use Wi-Fi! But their pamphlet says: "Guests are always welcome; we are a community center." They're trying to send seniors to their graves anyway with free non-vegan meals. I stay at home a lot doing home improvement work. It's hard work! I have so many projects to do. I play a lot of sweepstakes and claim freebie and rebates. (The USPS has stolen a lot of my freebies.) Constant attention! Let's face it; dogs are high maintenance. They need a lot of attention, exercise, care, good food, and water. But many Melrose residents just leave dogs penned up in small yards and never walk their dogs or bring them in. It's pathetic! There was this lady, Dixie, who was hoarding/breeding wolf dogs and then she up and died. I heard that the dogs were rescued; hopefully that's true.

Sandy R.
“Sandy pet sat for us for a week while we were on vacation. She was AMAZING! She took care of our animals as if they were her own. We found out our elderly dog had diabetes the week Sandy was coming to sit for us. She had no problem giving her injections twice daily plus medication. She did an amazing job with our older dog and even gave her a doggy massage! Our pup was in great form when we got back home thanks to Sandy's loving care. Our cat loved her as well. He can be needy with attention but Sandy was amazing with him. She sent us daily photos and updates which was greatly appreciated. The house looked exactly like it did when we left, if not a little better. Sandy was tidy and even washed her bedding before heading out. We would gladly welcome her back and highly recommend her to anyone else considering her as a sitter. Thank you Sandy!”
