“Highly recommend! Bekha was great at communicating with us and providing updates on our dog. We had to extend our trip and she was available, which we appreciate having the same sitter- same familiarity with our dog, routine, etc.”

“My pup loves Eloisa! I’m very grateful to have her, she even called me when I had a house emergency and went the extra mile to make sure everything was ok. Highly recommend!”

“Jana did drop-in visits with our three cats while we were away. She took great care of them! She communicated well with me when needed and I felt at ease knowing she was dropping in daily. I definitely recommend Jana!! Thanks!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lily was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond while caring for our pets during our Florida trip. She communicated with us after every visit, sent plenty of pictures, and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She administered medication to our feisty cat, Piper, without any issues, and took such loving, attentive care of our elderly dog, Gabby. It was clear she genuinely cared about them and treated them like they were her own. I can’t recommend Lily enough! We came home to two happy, well-cared-for pets, and we’ll absolutely be booking with her again in the future. Thank you, Lily!”

“Brooke went the extra mile for my cat! She sent lots of pictures and videos and updated me after each visit. I know my cat was very well taken care of with her! Will definitely book with Brooke again!”

“Jessica went above and beyond in caring for my 3 cats while I was gone. She spent extra time making sure my house was clean and made an extra trip back to check on my cats. She always responds quickly when I contact her and was always right on time for check ins. I would highly recommend her and hope I can use her again.”

About: Love to work with all types of pets! Years of experience with dogs and cats, I am very attentive to care instructions and always leave the pet and parent happy! I’m always family & friends first option for pet care🤍 which is where I got my experience from. In Saint Joseph for college, originally from Hawai’i so I’m pretty far from home. I love pets so this is the best way I could be spending my free time. I am very attentive to care instructions I do love dogs of all sizes🥰 I am not knowledgeable about trainings however I do appreciate a dog that can listen to simple commands.
About: Hi! I’m a full-time registered nurse looking to pick up some side gigs doing what I already love—caring for animals. I have a strong medical background and bring a calm, attentive, and responsible approach to pet care, including pets with medical needs or special instructions. I grew up on a farm, so being around animals has always been second nature to me. I’ve personally cared for cats and dogs for over 5+ years and feel comfortable with all sizes, breeds, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. Whether it’s walks or drop-ins, I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well taken care of while you’re away. I work as a Registered Nurse and find that working with animals helps recharge my compassion and social battery before my next shift. I work 3-4 days a week and like having the flexibility to pick up jobs through Rover when I am available. Each of my cats have their own special needs. I am comfortable giving medications to your pets if needed as well as brushing, bathing, going on walks, and of course giving lots of love and affection. I use a pet sitter myself when I am out of town and know how important it is to pawrents that their babies are safe. No matter the pet, big or small, I'm happy that you would trust me to care for them while you're away!
About: With over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for my own pets, I bring a deep personal commitment to every pet I care for. When I come to care for, play with, and walk your dogs I'll dedicate my time to really getting to know them and their preferences. I have shared my home with several senior pets over the years and understand the specialized attention they require. Elderly animals hold a special place in my heart, and I am especially attuned to their comfort, routines, and medical needs. I have three pets - a spunky, energetic Chihuahua and two senior cats. Your pets will be cared for with the same thoughtfulness, reliability, and respect I give my own. I’m a professional photographer, which gives me a flexible schedule and the ability to be reliable and present when pet families need support. Running my own business has taught me the importance of communication, trust, and attention to detail. I’m also a parent to a teenager, so responsibility and consistency are a big part my everyday life. I value routine, patience, and creating a calm, steady environment, which is something pets truly benefit from. In my free time, you’ll often find me outdoors exploring nature with my camera, taking walks, or simply enjoying fresh air. I appreciate the simple joy animals bring to our lives and feel honored to care for them with the same thoughtfulness and respect I give my own. I know it can be hard on animals when their humans are away. Transitions can feel big for them. I move slowly, pay attention, and let trust build naturally so your pet feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re gone. My animals are the world to me. I love the everyday rhythms — the walks, the play, the brushing, the quiet moments on the couch. I lead with love and consistency, and I bring that same energy into your home. When I care for your pets, they’ll have plenty of playtime, walks tailored to their needs, and as much cuddle time as they’d like (or space, if that’s more their style). You can trust that I will respect your home, honor your routines, and care for your animals with the same attentiveness and affection I give my own.

About: I grew up on a farm, so I was raised around animals. I volunteer at a wildlife rescue in Blue Springs, Missouri. I partner with them to transport and foster any wildlife in need. I'm a plant-based eater, I love animals so much I will not even eat them. I risk my own life to save animals. So when I say I'm an animal lover I absolutely mean that 100%. I have six cats, one Dog, four Snakes, one Bearded Dragon, one Tarantula, 2 fish, 2 mice and a disabled footless Rooster as pets. They mean the world to me. I would go without before they would. Growing up my parents were AKC dog breeders . We had Beagles, Basset Hounds, Labradors and Pomeranians. So I've had my fair share of helping deliver babies. I also did Wildlife removal from homes. I would exclude or trap and relocate any Wildlife that was invading homes. Never kill any. I would educate people on the importance of Wildlife and why they are here. I have taken my animals to schools to do educational programs to teach the children to love all animals. I have taken my animals to educational programs in the summer at kids summer camps in Savannah, Missouri. Because I work with Wildlife I do have my rabies vaccination. I have always pet sit for my friends and family when they are out of town and local farmers when they are needing help. I love nature going on walks and being outside is my favorite. I'm experienced in giving oral medications and shots. I currently work full time but in able to leave at any given time to care for the pets. This includes going for walks, playing in the yard, staying the night, staying for feedings and giving medications. I live in the country with a big barn. I do have a fenced run where a dog could stay outside. I am able to crate your dog in my home at night and let him/her run free when I am home.
About: I am married and have two daughters and a son. They are 12, 8, and 5. I have a wonderful German Shepherd, an Alaskan Klee Kai, and a 20 pound cat named Karen. We love caring for other animals. We have a big yard so there’s plenty of room to run.! I can come to your home or board in ours. We are very active individuals. Both my husband and I are runners. Just let me know if you have anymore questions and I would be more than willing to answer them! We are very flexible with our schedules. My husband works full-time, but I drive for Uber so I can make my own schedule when needed. We try to stay as active as possible and play with pets in the home. We have a German shepherd that loves the extra play time!
“Wonderful!! Kayla and Taylor LOVE animals. They were so amazing. Excellent communication and attention to detail. Great pics sent at every check in. Do not hesitate to book them. Will definitely use them again.”

I have a flexible schedule and can work around it to help care for your pets, for drop in visits, walks, feeding, playtime or stays. I will care for your pets and home as if it were my own. About: I always insure that pets are comfortable! I’ve taken care of old cats and dogs, and I when they are old like that it’s important to meet their needs first, as most of the time they need a lot of guidance and help. I am currently going into online college, so most of my day is free! I often sit down and watch TV or play video games, but I mostly enjoy writing and drawing in my free time I personally like to ask owners how there pets are in the company of others, as well as if any weather bugs them! The comfort of my pets, and owners is always my number 1 priority! I want to make sure that they are comfortable around me, and I never approach any animal until I’ve let them sniff me, it’s important that they trust me to be around them.
About: I’m an active adventurous person ready to play with the dogs or take them on walks. I have helped family, friends and neighbors watch their dogs, whether it be just a check in or a week at a time! I work as a phlebotomist in my other times, help family and create crafts for my page! Seeing as I have a cat of my own, I make sure to put her into my daily schedule and make time for her to play with her and her as well as make sure her litter stays clean and her food and water bowl stay full! My cat is an indoor cat. Although she is aloof, she still loves to come cuddle and I always make sure that her food and water bowls are full, her litter is clean and her medicine is taken

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Joseph
Audrey was wonderful with our senior dog, Gabby, and our cat, Piper! Leaving your pets behind is never easy, but she gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for them like they were her own. We especially appreciated her patience and attentiveness with Gabby being an older dog. Knowing Audrey is CPR certified was an added bonus and made us feel even more confident that our pets were in great hands. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and would absolutely book with Audrey again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
