About: I’ve had a heart for animals since I was young, and have owned both cats and dogs - ranging from low-energy Pugs to high-energy Boxers - for the majority of my life. My pet care experience mostly includes sitting for friends and family members, and caring for my own dog, a 6-year old Mini Poodle mix. I’ve taken care of senior animals with a variety of health conditions, and have no problem providing medications from pills to eye drops. I also have some experience working with reactive dogs, as my dog deals with reactivity issues. Through a 6-session training course we completed with a professional trainer in the summer of 2025, I’ve learned techniques to improve behavior on walks, as well as a long list of enrichment activities to help your high-energy pups burn energy throughout the day. The best days for me to care for your pet in Lancaster or York are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends. If requested, I may be able to accommodate services in Lancaster on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. I thrive on routines and like to keep somewhat of a normal routine for my dog. This includes feedings, giving medications, multiple walks, and enrichment activities (in or outside, depending on weather). My dog has anxiety and spring/summer are the most difficult for her, so I keep on music or background sounds while in the house, and make sure she is always on a leash when outside. I am willing and open to following any routines you have for your pet, however, I am not comfortable with electric fences or shock collars. I always have my phone easily accessible and am a quick communicator, so I can provide pictures, texts, or calls as requested if you’d like to check up on your fur baby.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for both friends and family for about four years now. I have experience with both young and old, I’ve taken care of my own dog since she was a puppy and she is now almost 12. I do not currently have another job, but I am a student at York College. I have lots of free time during the day to take your babies on walks, have play dates, and sleepovers! I work well with instructions because I think it is best to keep them with the same schedules they are accustomed to. I love to keep them comfortable and give them tons of attention.

I’ve had such a wonderful experience with Billie! She is consistently punctual, incredibly kind, and communicates well. I always know what’s going on thanks to her thoughtful updates, and she’s great about letting me know of any scheduling changes well in advance — usually at least a week ahead, which I really appreciate. It’s such a relief knowing my dog is in caring, reliable hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely wonderful with pets!

About: I don't have a ton of experience with pet-sitting, but I LOVE animals. My two cats are my life, and I always do what I can to ensure they are happy in their forever home. I've always grown up with animals in my home, so adding some more fur-rends (please laugh) temporarily is always welcome. My days are usually very open, since I just graduated high school. I'm mostly doing this as a summer gig, since I'll be off to college come August. I have a fenced yard and two cats! They are very shy around other animals/people, but are in general very friendly. The yard is huge, with a ton of space for an animal to run around and play.

About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. From untrained and accident prone puppies to mature Great Danes, I’ve walked, watched, visited, and stayed with them all! I currently walk and sit dogs/cats for a lil side hustle. Once Summer starts, I hope to keep hanging out with pets to make some extra money! I’m a very flexible person. If your dog needs to be hand fed or sleep in my bed, I have no problems! I’ll do mostly anything to make sure your dog is comfortable while you’re away!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. After recently losing my own beloved pup, I’ve found myself missing having a furry friend by my side on my daily walks. I’d love the opportunity to give your dog some extra exercise, attention, and companionship while enjoying the outdoors together. Whether your pup prefers a relaxed stroll or an adventure around the neighborhood, I’ll make sure they have a safe, fun, and tail-wagging good time. I treat every dog like family and can’t wait to meet my next walking buddy! I can walk your four legged baby as many days as you need. I work but have availability everyday from 1-4 and would love to get outside and walk with a purpose! I recently lost my dog in March. I loved him more than anything in the world. He was my best friend and my best bud. I would love to make your pup, my walking, buddy.

We couldn’t be happier with the amazing care our dog received while we were away on vacation. Lauren went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt loved, comfortable, and well-exercised every single day. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our dog was in such capable and caring hands. From daily walks and playtime to thoughtful updates and photos, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine love for animals. Our dog absolutely adored her and it showed! We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, which says everything about the quality of care provided. We are so grateful and highly recommend Lauren’s services to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and truly exceptional with dogs!

This was Ruby’s first time being walked by someone other than a family member- so she was a little nervous! But Ronny made a nervous momma and pup feel at ease right away. He greeted Ruby with a smile and happy puppy talk. Clearly she enjoyed the walk as she’s passed out at my feet!

About: I bring over 30 years of personal and professional experience working with and loving animals. I have worked and volunteered at several organizations (York SPCA, Hershey Zoo America, and Animal Rescue) since 1998. In those roles, I have cleaned kennels, walked and cared for dogs, played and cared with cats, and provided education of North American animals at the zoo. I love all animals especially seniors and I am comfortable with all size dogs. In fact, I have one pit bull and a turtle. I have fostered 4 pitties. Growing up, I lived on a small farmette and we had lots of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, a horse and an iguana. I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to meet your schedule and the needs of your fur babies.

If you missed my 6 star review, after Natalie’s last visit with the pups I would raise it to seven stars! We made a very last minute change to our itinerary and she was able to accommodate us. As always she takes great care of our pups and leaves the house immaculate. Lots of communication, check ins and pictures. It is wonderful to have found someone who is so responsible. I almost hate to have to share her. You can’t go wrong having her take of your pets!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for years through helping friends, family, and neighbors with feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins. I’ve also had my own dog for 6 years, so I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for your pet. I’m patient, reliable, and comfortable with dogs of different sizes and personalities. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and gets plenty of attention while you’re away. I work Monday through Thursday, which makes me fully available on weekends for pet care. I can provide walks and drop-in visits on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with flexible timing. I make sure pets get consistent attention, exercise, and care throughout the weekend so they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I provide a safe, calm, and attentive environment for every pet in my care. I closely follow each pet’s routine and any instructions provided by the owner to ensure consistency and comfort. I supervise pets at all times during visits and outdoor time, and I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure. I treat every pet like my own and prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being.

About: I’ve lived with dogs/cats my entire life. I have checked in, played, fed, given meds and potty breaks to dogs of two other families before. STARTING AUGUST 18: I will be starting my clinical rotations at WellSpan hospitals and other sites. This means during weekdays I will not be available from 6am-3:30pm or even later depending what site I am at that day (i have rotations in Gettysburg). Weekends I am available unless said otherwise! Thank you! I’m a college student on summer break, so I’m available a lot of the time! I let out and play with another dog during weekday mornings, so anytime after that! Although I have an unfenced yard, I live on a dead end road with not a lot of traffic. I have a huge field behind my house where I can play with your pets. I have a friendly Springer Spaniel who can keep your dog company. I can easily crate if needed. Will not walk or let dogs out to potty without a leash. Will play unleashed in field.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 1,899 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Saginaw. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Saginaw. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Saginaw.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saginaw. On Rover:

  • 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
