“Melanie is so kind and super attentive to Javi! He adores her. Melanie sent lots of pics and updates-which I very much appreciated! Hope Javi can stay with Melanie in near future!!”

“Savannah did a great job taking care of lily🥰 she sent me pictures every day. My dog is a picky eater, and she even bought a broth to mix with her dry food. She also responds very quick, always on communication!”

“Drop off and pickup were great. Annadel sent us multiple videos of our dog on walks and playing in the backyard throughout her stay. Overall Annadel offered a great experience for us and our pup!”

“Our dogs first experience with someone other than family. We are so grateful for the care she received, the chance to be with another human and her dog, and the pictures we were sent. Very reassuring to us and to our pup.”

“Feiran was fantastic with Finn! He had such a great time at her place with all the furry friends. ❤️ The greatest testament to how much he enjoyed himself was when I came to pick him up—after enthusiastically greeting me, he actually went right back to Feiran to say goodbye. 🥹🐶💕”

“JungHwan is awesome! They were flexible for a last minute booking. Kept me up to speed on how things were going during the stay. Super friendly folks, zero hesitation to use them again.”

About: I am a dog lover to the bone! I work from home so I can spend the entire day with your pet. I have a very friendly spayed 70lb dog, Bee, for socialization. Your pet will have their own room to hangout in if they wish. I trained my rescue dog myself so I’m familiar with the rescue dog stress. I work from home so I am always available for your pet! I am always available to let them out for a potty break and there to observe everything. I have a big, fenced backyard and love to take a neighborhood walk every other day! I already work on a feeding schedule for my dog and play/tug time is a must.
“Rachel took care of our dog, Autumn, for the week between Christmas and New Years. She was wonderful! Her home is a warm, comfortable, friendly place for any pet, and she took Autumn on long engaging walks, and even hiking in nearby state parks. She sent regular photos, with heartwarming and hilarious descriptions of how Autumn was getting along with the cats and chickens. Rachel was super communicative, and we are so grateful she was able to accommodate pick up and drop off on holidays - not many folks can/will do that. It means the world to have found a sitter like Rachel; we will definitely reach out to her the next time we travel without our pup!”

About: Hey everyone, my name is Aric. I am originally from Peoria, Illinois but live in Champaign, Illinois. I have had dogs and cats my entire life. We get along great. Currently, I have one dog and two cats of my own. I have extra space in my house and am able to keep Rover animals separate. Please read all of my profile and contact me before requesting a service. One important thing to know is that Rover adds additional booking fees to my rates. If you can pay directly via Cashapp, Venmo, or Zelle, my rates will be lower than what is listed. Or, if you prefer to still use Rover for payments, that is ok. Send me a message if you have any questions. Hola a todos, me llamo Aric (Eric con A) y muchas personas que hablan el español me llaman mi segundo nombre Enrike (Enrique con K). Soy de Peoria, Illinois y vivo en Champaign, Illinois. He tenido perros y gatos toda mi vida. I take great care of my animals every day. I am very good with structed routines for me and my animals. Currently, my dog and two cats live with me. I replenish their food and water twice each day and socialize with them every day. Drop-In Visits: I am very flexible and adaptable to most environments and most needs of my clients and their humans. My profile accurately reflects services and prices. However, there may be some potential flexibility in order to meet the needs of my clients. Please read my entire profile including the introduction area where I mention how Rover adds additional booking fees to my rates. Day Care and/or Boarding: All my animals are up-to-date on vaccines. My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.
“Rebekah was wonderful! She took great care of our dog, was always quick to respond, and very flexible. We felt completely comfortable knowing our girl was in good hands. We would definitely book with her again!”

About: I am a true animal lover who loves caring for your special family member(s) as if they are my own. I love to play with, walk, groom, and spend time with pets and provide a warm, loving, and safe environment. I also know how hard it is to leave your babies with strangers and take special care to send you pictures and videos while you're apart. Let me know what your baby needs and I'll make sure they have the best time possible while you're away. Please note that I do have two very friendly and playful Boston Terriers in the home but if your pet prefers its own space, I have a huge house and a private room dedicated to your pet if they need it. I work out of my home, which is a enormous space with a large fenced back yard. I also love walking dogs several times a day and will be able to provide 24/7 care for your pet in my home. I have a large fenced yard, two separate rooms just for pets (should they need to be alone), and a large vehicle for transport. I also have a large kennel set up in case your pet responds best to being kenneled at time. I don't leave my dogs unattended outside.
“Gilana was an incredible sitter for my dog, Edison! I recently moved into town and it’s always tricky to find someone new to trust with caring for your pet. Gilana was kind, communicative, and clearly made Edison feel right at home. I also felt extra confident that Edison was in good hands knowing she is training in the veterinary field. What really made her stand out is I had a very stressful, last-minute flight change, which left me stuck across the country for an extra day. Gilana was able to extend coverage for Edison. I truly don’t know what I would’ve done without her flexibility and understanding. Thank you, Gilana!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets ever since I was born from dogs, to fish, and even a turtle. Given, I have experience in both raising puppies and senior care. My family has lost our 16 year old labrador retriever last year, Mac, due to old age and would like to continue to show our love for pets through helping other families! We recently got Mickey, who is an energetic and fun Shih Poo looking to make friends! I am currently not working so I have plenty of time to take care of any of your pets needs. I currently have open availability! I have a spacious home and large unfenced yard for your dog to play and relax. If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
93% of sitters in Sabina can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Sabina home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sabina.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
You and your Sabina sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
