“Where do I begin with this 5-star review of Kelly C??? This was Champ's 3rd visit with Kelly and her husband and we already knew our pup was in the best of hands! We felt very secure in leaving him with Kelly and her pack for a longer stay as we were traveling overseas. Well, thankfully he was in such trusted hands, because a few days into our trip, Champ, a German shepherd, developed bloat (GDV) which is life threatening and requiring emergency surgery. Sadly, this is all too common in larger breeds like Shepherds. Thanks to Kelly's and her husband's quick action (and with constant communication with us in a different time zone), Champ arrived at the emergency clinic in time, was immediately rushed into surgery, and the amazing specialists at University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center in Columbia treated him successfully. Post surgery, Kelly and her husband took wonderful care of him in his recovery until we could return from our trip to a happy and healthy dog. Needless to say, we are incredibly thankful to have found Kelly and her family and can't say enough about how grateful we are to them! If we could give more than 5 stars, they would be difficult to count!”

About: Moe’s Place is a small in home dog boarding facility. I provide one on one care as well as exit baths. Moe’s Place has commercial kennels indoors and outdoors so they can stay outside when the days are nice. There is a large fenced in play area, but only dogs who come together play together. I make sure every dog is given some additional time to be treated like family. We turn our pups out in the morning before feeding, around noon and early afternoon. We also ensure your pup has time to go out before bed. We live here so it makes it very convenient to ensure your family member is getting the best care. We have lots of open time and play time. If your pup decides they would rather play indoors, we have an indoor play area also.

“This was my lab, Josie's, first stay with Megan A., and she had a blast! From the moment she and I entered the house, Megan made us feel welcome. She is a serious, knowledgeable dog person, and the love, the helpful information, and care she shared made a huge difference. In the past, I have felt a tad guilty about having to board Josie...but now, seeing how she fit so well with Megan's "squad," well, I'm gonna feel guilty if I don't take her there. Our family recently relocated to the Lake area as full timers after 30 years of being weekenders, so having great resources now that we are living here is so important. If you are in the Lake area and want your pup to have a great stay, give Megan a try, you won't be disappointed.”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a child. I am currently in college to become a certified veterinary technician. I have veterinary medicine training and can spot health problems right away. I have administered medicine and given medication orally. I have open availability through out the week when I work so your furry friends will always have someone at home to take care of there needs. I have a small fenced in part of my yard. No animal is left unattended and is always safe in my care. I always go out of my way to make my home feel like there own.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and currently care for my own pets, including a Great Dane, so I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I understand that every pet has different needs, whether that’s high energy playtime, slow walks for senior dogs, sticking to feeding and medication schedules, or simply giving them extra attention and comfort while their owners are away. I pride myself on being reliable, patient, and attentive to details so pet parents can feel confident their pets are safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m also comfortable with basic puppy routines, reinforcing good habits, and providing calm, gentle care for anxious or older pets. My goal is always to make pets feel as comfortable and at home as possible. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, but I do have an hour lunch break each day. For pets local to the Jefferson City area, I’m often available during lunch for potty breaks, walks, feeding, medication, check-ins, or just some extra love and attention during the day. Outside of work hours, I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care depending on availability. I always do my best to keep pets on their normal routine and make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I do my best to make both pets and owners feel comfortable, informed, and at ease. I’m happy to provide updates, photos, and communication throughout each stay or visit. 🏡 Boarding your pet: I do have two friendly and playful dogs of my own — a Great Dane and a Goldendoodle — along with 3 cats that mostly keep to themselves. Because of this, I always like to make sure personalities and temperaments are a good fit for everyone’s safety and comfort. I also completely understand that not every pet is comfortable around other animals, and that’s okay! I have a partially finished basement that allows pets to be safely separated if needed while still being comfortable and cared for. My goal is always to create a safe, low-stress environment where your pet feels at home. 🐾 Pet sitting and drop-in visits in your home: I know many pets feel most comfortable in their own environment, so I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible.
