Taylor was awesome! We will 100% use her services whenever we go out of town. She did such a good job taking care of our boys and our house while we were away on vacation. She kept us informed and sent pictures regularly. She responded instantly and was just all around a great pet sitter. I would recommend her to everyone 100%.

About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life. Currently have a dog and two cats that I love to bits. I always find time to be out playing with my dog and keeping cats company when it comes to the night hours. I’m currently not working but I do have the transportation to get around for check ins on pets. I have free time on my hands at the moment so my schedule is really open to going in the morning, going in the afternoon, and going in the evening times before bedtime. I do not offer boarding in my own home, so being in the client's home I would be sure to introduce myself to the dogs, be outside while dogs are playing, and always attentive as to where an animal is within the house or backyard.

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 14. I love all animals and have experience with all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I have 5 dogs at home so I’m used to chaos! I also started working with farm animals when I was 12 so I have experience working with horses, cows, pigs, chickens, and ect. I currently work only two days at my church, so I have plenty of time to play with all the dogs and cats! I will make sure to communicate with you when those times are and if I leave during the day. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around in. All of my dogs are crate-trained, and they go up at night. During the day I leave them outside or they lounge around inside. All my dogs are allowed on the furniture.

Rachel was an incredible pet-sitter for our three cats! From the start, she went above and beyond, bringing treats and even addressing some minor stomach issues they were having. Rachel’s care and attention were evident, especially with our cat, Fiona, who adored her so much she was waiting at the door for Rachel around her usual visit time for several days after we returned. It was so comforting to know our cats were in such great hands, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have Rachel back anytime. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet-sitter!

This is Tania’s third time watching our dogs. She has dog sat for my Great Danes twice before, which is amazing in itself, but this time I added my two small dogs and she did great. Tania is super kind and follows direction so well. I will absolutely continue using Tania as my dog sitter! She’s the best.

About: I have taken care of pets for neighbors, family, and friends since 2014, most often as a sitting while the owners are out of town. I work 32 hours a week as a nanny and have a split schedule; this will allow me to visit your pets during breaks between work shifts in the morning, afternoon, and evenings. I am available to stay overnight as well. I love caring for my pet Rex. I love to give him treats, toys, take him on walks, etc. Anything to keep him feeling engaged and enriched. I am very mindful of his behavior and have learned what he needs based on how he acts. I will pay this much attention to detail with your pets!

I can care for your pet inside my home or can travel to the client's home. I have experience administering SQ fluids, oral and topical medications, injections, and bandages. In my world, the pets are members of the family and I care for them as if they were my own, giving them the love and attention they are accustomed to receiving from their family. I also provide other services if needed at NO CHARGE such as watering plants, bringing in the mail/newspaper, checking pool levels, etc. Petsitting, boarding, and travel grooming services is what I do full time if Im not substituting at the school! They will have frequent potty breaks to eliminate any accients. I have a pipe fence with no climb on 3/4 acre of land for them to roam and play when supervised. About: My husband Rusty and I have grown up with dogs our whole life! We have two dogs of my own now who are our ENTIRE world! We have met amazing dog sitters on rover that have helped our family out tremendously and we would love to do that for others as well! We have done plenty of dog sitting, walking, etc. with friends fur babies and it is always so much fun to meet other dogs and get to know their little personalities! I am currently taking a break from nursing contracts right now. I have a lot of flexibility. Please reach out as I’d love to meet your fur baby and help out in ANY way I can! My dogs and I love to go on long walks outside and after we are nice and tired come inside and cuddle or play some more! I know that it can be a little bit nerve racking to trust others with your fur babies- we are the same way! Our goal is to make you feel totally comfortable letting us care for your animals and caring for them exactly how you would want! :) We would also be open to having a play date with our two dogs too if that is something you would want and be comfortable with. Our dogs get along with all dogs and cats and love to play!

About: My husband works full time while I am home with the dogs. But he works mornings and is home in the evenings! Most of my free time I am home loving on my fur-kids. If I could adopt every fur-baby out there that needs someone to love them, I would. But since I can't, I am trying to find ways to help! I have 4 resident Poms, Kenzie, Dippy, Starr, and Bandit. I also have one resident crested-Pom mix Brenner. I also have a few Foster Poms. We foster for Recycled Pomeranian's. No matter the temperament , breed, age, size, I love them all. I will treat your family member as if they were my own! I would love to take care of your baby for the day or for as long as you need. Your fur-kid(s) will be inside but will be taken out to potty and play outside frequently! We have a medium to large fenced in backyard. They are NEVER left alone while in the backyard. We have dog beds, toys, and crates as needed. You will need to supply the food. so your fur-kid will be comfortable with their own food. Also I can administer meds if needed. I hope you will let me watch your baby for you so he/she can have the time of their life being part of our family!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Runaway Bay stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Runaway Bay. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
