“Emily was great, gave us plenty of updates of how Brodie was doing while he was under her care and was very easy to communicate and coordinate with. Would highly recommend and have her watch Brodie again!”

“Laddie’s stay with Nicole could not have been a better first experience- for him, and for us. Nicole was incredibly flexible, understanding of our anxiety, and sent MANY fabulous photos and reassuring messages. She also put up with our neurotic requests! I suspect Laddie was reluctant to leave. He had a blast with her dog, AND her amazing cat😂. I”

“We just had Michael care for our two Boston Terrier pups. This is our second time leaving them with him. The pups were happy and of course, glad to see us upon return. They are in good health. Michael pays attention to detail and was happy to follow our special requests around feeding and outdoor supervision. We will certainly book a stay with Michael next time we go away. It is so nice to have a reliable local caretaker for our dogs. Thank you, Michael”

About: Hi! My name is Amanda, and I have 18 years of pet care experience. I have had pleasure of owning three dogs over the course of my adult life. I currently have a senior dog named Benson and this Summer my family and I adopted a pup named Nash. I use to foster dogs and cats throughout college and several friends and family have relied on me to care for their four-legged family member(s) over the years. I have experience with dogs of all ages from puppies to seniors and I am certified in Pet First Aid/CPR through the American Red Cross. Im currently working from home and have a flexible schedule, so I have a great amount of time to spend with your dog(s) in my home and take them out throughout the day. My husband Martin will also join me on walks/trails at times when he is home in the evening and weekends. I offer in-home boarding. Provide daily walks around the neighborhood and walking trails in the area. Dog treats are also provided, unless declined by dog owner. All dogs boarding must be crate trained for nightly sleep for their safety and the safety of other dogs.
“Riven and Matt were great! They were able to take care of my pup, Lula Mae, while I needed to be out of town on short notice. Lu was clearly well cared for and happy with them. Really appreciate it!!”

“I recommend her; she's very communicative and loving, and that's how she was with Tonka. She kept me updated throughout his stay, letting me know how Tonka was doing and sharing photos. I always knew how he was doing, and she always answered my messages.”

“Leticia was wonderful with our dog. After welcoming us, she showed us her fenced backyard. Lovely. She sent pictures and videos and Savannah played with new puzzles. Really appreciate the loving care.”

About: My love for exotic animals made me a zookeeper 20 years ago, but caring for pets and farm animals is my favorite. Happy to help you! I have a fully flexible schedule. I can be there for you during days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. I have a big sweet dog to keep your pets company in our home, or in yours. It’s OK if your pets would rather no outside furry friends though. I am happy to respect your preferences on crating/gating/free range, special diets/fresh cooking, walk schedule, basic obedience, snuggles, toys, and treats. Dogs of any size and breed, and pets and farm animals of any species will be well-loved in your absence. 💛
“Alicia and her sweet family welcomed Ollie into their home for a 10 day stay. This was Ollie's first stay away from home and Alicia did her best to make him feel safe and comfortable during his stay. Upon pickup he was healthy and happy - would not hesitate to book again!”

“Alberta is great; she has nice, spacious pens and always takes very good care of our buns, even though some are "high maintenance." She always sends updates and photos during the stay. Five star service!”
“Outstanding experience with Pat. I had her stay at the house and watch the dog. It is the first time I’ve done that. It was a game changer. In no small part due to the care and precaution Pat took. She came by in advance to get to know my dog and how the house worked. She asked all the right detailed questions. Things I hadn’t thought of! And then at time of transition, she ran through and tested that everything worked as she thought. Pat kept me informed both days. Made me aware of anything of concern. Inn this case GI distress on one of his walks which is not uncommon for Marvel on first day of someone new. But I sure was pleased she let me know and she let me know that it cleared by a later walk. Pat seemed unflappable, capable and careful. My dog liked her a lot as some of the pictures we of my dog having a great time. Plus he was great when I returned as was the house and plants. I will definitely book Pat again. .”

“Our dog, Molly, had a great time at Mandy's place! Mandy took her on several walks every day and gave her lots of love and attention that all little dogs need. She kept in touch with us each day by sending us lots of cute and funny photos. It's very clear that Mandy loves dogs and really enjoys caring for them. She definitely gets 5 Stars from us!!! ”

About: I have been around animals of all kinds for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had horses, dogs, cats bunnies, guinea pigs, birds - you name it, we probably had at least one! I absolutely love dogs and currently have a very high energy pit bull names Bizzy. He is a total sweetheart and loves all other living creatures, but he does need a lot of exercise. Luckily for both of us, lots of exercise happens to be my favorite thing! I am a marathon runner and love to take dogs for long walks or even runs if that’s what they need. I know that all dogs are individuals, so I want to get to know every dog I care for. If your dog needs a long run - great! If your dog needs cuddles and quiet time - awesome! I look forward to getting to know you and your pups! I work from home and love hanging out with dogs. During work breaks or on the weekends, I love fitting in hikes with dog friends. I’m happy to care for dogs in my home as long as they can get along with my dog and cat. If I’m in their home, I will always try to go above and beyond to keep the dogs happy and comfortable.
About: My parents had a one year old dog when I was born so I started life with a canine sibling. A dog, or multiple actually, has always been by my side except between 7th and 9th grade, the loneliest two years ever. I lean towards the Irish Setter but I have raised Golden Retrievers, Boston Terriers, Yorkies and Standard Poodles. I currently have two Setters and one Standard. They speak fluent English and surf the Internet for creative ideas to keep mum busy. I am a retired high school teacher since one month and am looking for commitments on a flexible schedule. I want to be busy but not at the hectic pace that teaching requires. I spent 34 years in secondary education so teaching is natural for me. I have had a canine best friend for almost every of my 58 years and have done countless basic training classes. As a former division 1 athlete, I have an exercise centric lifestyle and thrive on being physically active. Retirement is leaving a void in my routine that I anticipate dog-walking will fill. I have a large property, the majority of which is fenced. The basement has a cage assembled, a cage in the closet and a large wooden pen that my three share when I am out. The furniture is dog friendly and I have enough leashes to walk a football team at once.
About: I’m an active, outdoorsy person who loves getting outside and enjoying some fresh air with a dog by my side. I especially enjoy walks, exploring new trails, and giving dogs plenty of time to play and get their energy out. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels, and I’m happy to follow their normal routines for meals, walks, playtime, and downtime. I want every dog in my care to feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their people are away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages along the way! I work remotely 5 days a week and have plenty of time to hang with your pup! Working from home gives me the flexibility to let your dog out for potty breaks as frequently as needed. I live close to a network of trails that your dog will love! My friendly Bernedoodle is always looking for friends and will keep us company!
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently have five of my own, so caring for them comes naturally to me. As a stay-at-home mom to four kids, I’m home and available throughout the day—meaning your pup will always have company, love, and attention. Caring for pets is second nature in my home. Between my five dogs and four kids, there’s always love, play, and activity to go around. Whether it’s morning walks, midday playtime, or cozy evening cuddles, pets easily become part of our family rhythm and daily routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine closely to keep things comfortable and familiar. I make sure they’re well-fed, walked, and given plenty of love and attention—just as if they were my own. I also keep homes tidy and respect any specific instructions, so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

“Sofie took such good care of my little chihuahua! She sent me many updates and pics, and was very respectful of my home. She went out of her way to accomodate my early morning departure despite its inconvenience. I highly recommend her!”

“Trishul was so welcoming and took great care of my pup! He was very communicative, sending lots of photos/updates and I went on my trip assured that my dog was in good hands.”

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
