“Natasha was wonderful! She checked on my barn cats over a 2 week period. There is a camera on our automatic cat feeder. I was watching the cats and suddenly a dog appeared knocking over the feeder. Natasha was able to come the next day, refill the feeder and block the dog from entering our yard. She was also flexible with her schedule when our travel plans changed. I will definitely rebook with Natasha anytime that we are out of town.”

About: I am a Confident Animal Caretaker: dogs, cats, horses, cows, fish, lizards and more. With personal experience with all sized dogs from 10lbs to 90lbs, cats and care of horses. From animals that need snuggles and love, to basic training, and the ability to work with reactivity in dogs. Let's care for your pet your way together. As a self-employed individual, I have the ability to customize my schedule to fit your animals needs. From drop-ins and walks almost anytime to overnights for your vacation. With a position reinforcement approach I meet your pet where they are. To me that means we may sit in a room and learn to accept each other all the way to becoming besties from first sight and going on a hike. Wherever your pet is I'm here to work together to make their experience the best while you are away.

“Thank you Haley for your time and patience with us and Bowie as we navigated this past few days. You did an awesome job and made myself and my husband feel very comfortable and know our dog and our home would be respected and cared for. We'll definitely be in touch soon!”

About: I have trained puppies to be mobility service dogs from when they were eight weeks old to two years old. I have also lived with dogs for the past 17 years. I am highly proficient in training basic skills (sit, down, stay, heel) and well-versed in positive reinforcement and praise-based training methods. I also have experience with exercising dogs both physically and through mental enrichment. I am currently working a Wednesday to Sunday schedule and am generally available after 5 pm on those days. I have much more daytime availability Mondays and Tuesdays. I am happy to find appropriate walks for your pets of all ages and abilities in the area. I will make sure to meet your pet's physical and mental needs and communicate clearly and effectively.

“One of our two dogs is a rescue and gets very stressed around strangers. Skye was very good about following our recommendations and keeping us informed of how things went each time she visited the house to check on the dogs.”

“Lauren was fantastic. We had to leave our cat Charlotte home for almost 2 wks while we went back to NY for Xmas. Lauren gave me updates regularly, made sure Charlotte got all the love and even sent a couple pics! This was our first experience with Rover and will not hesitate to come back in the future!!”

About: Note— I return to college on the 22nd of August, and will not be available in the Gorge after that. Hi there! I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve cared for animals my whole life, and grew up with two dogs (Jack and Ozzy), in addition to chickens and rabbits. Most recently, I cared for a friends two labradors for a two months. I’m quick to learn specific care routines, and I’m attentive to changes in behavior or health—your pet’s comfort and safety are always my priority. Whether your animal is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between, I’ll treat them like my own. I am currently home from college for the summer, and working only sporadically from home. This means that your furry friend will be my first priority! I have a fenced yard one acre yard, and one friendly dog that is crate trained. I can easily crate your dog in my home too. If I am carrying for a dog in your home, I am available throughout the day to stop by and let the dog out, walk them, or to just hang out.

Currently I am working part-time 3 days a week - I have Wednesdays through Saturdays off so those are the days I'd prefer to schedule but could also schedule Sundays through Tuesdays if your pet can be left in a crate at my house for boarding. I very much enjoy walking dogs. I would try and see what makes your pet comfortable - if they seem like they need attention I enjoy making you pet feel comfortable.

About: I grew up caring for my family dog who had anxiety and helped train my mom's puppies, as well as dogsit for my friends occasionally. My family dog had pretty major anxiety so we did our best to make sure she was happy and anxiety free! We cared for her from the time she was a puppy until she passed away at 15, so I'm also comfortable caring for senior dogs. I'm comfortable caring for all types of dogs. I love dogs to the moon and back, but since I can't have a pup of my own right now I'd love to take care of yours! As far as my schedule goes, I generally work from 8 to 4. For drop-ins, I have somewhat sporadic days off, so if I’m free I’m happy to help! For housesitting, I’m happy to stay at your house, or whatever works best!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life—whether through 4H as a kid or continuing to learn everything I can about animal care as an adult. I’m especially passionate about working with shy or anxious pups; earning their trust is one of my favorite challenges (I have an anxious girl of my own, so I truly understand how tough it can be to leave them behind). I’m comfortable with all kinds of pet care, including giving medications and handling those “not-so-routine” tasks. If you’ve got a special request or an unsure situation, just ask—I’m always happy to help! I currently work four days a week, but I’m happy to fit in drop-in visits during the early mornings (6am–7am) and evenings (6pm–8pm) most days. On my days off—typically Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays—I have more flexibility and can often offer additional visits or even walks! I do my best to keep my schedule reliable, and I’ll always communicate clearly to make sure your pets get the care they need when you need it. When caring for pets in their own home, I do my best to keep things calm, consistent, and comforting. I stick to your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding times, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I know how important it is for pets to stay in their familiar space, so I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. I always leave things tidy and provide regular updates, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.

“Katlyn took great care of our pup! Used solid discretion when needed, and did exactly what we asked of her! We’re very grateful to have her here in the gorge and as a neighbor. Thanks again for your help!!!”

Rowena pet parents share their Rover experiences
This was my first time getting a pet sitter/using Rover and I’m very happy with my experience. It can be a little nerve racking to have someone new watch your pets but Makenzie helped with this big time. She is exceptional and I would highly recommend her. She met with the dogs and I beforehand and they immediately liked her which relieved any stress as both dogs have separation anxiety issues. She is very knowledgeable and a dog owner herself so you can tell from the start your dog(s) are in great hands and she truly cares for them as if they were her own. She went above and beyond to make sure the dogs were taken care of and comfortable while I was away for a trip. Makenzie sent updates after every stop and even kept an open line of communication outside of the scheduled visits and the reports with the. She has great reviews and I can see why! Will 100% ask her to watch them again in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
