“Nicole was absolutely amazing!!! She was so responsive, sent lots of pics and I’ve never seen my dog so happy in someone else’s home! 10/10 experience!!! Thank you Nicole for taking such perfect care of Misha!!!”

“Deanne was great! My husband and I both felt like we were in good hands. We loved the photo updates that she sent — we could see that our dog was happy and well cared for. Will use her services again!”

“Jane is an amazing doggie caregiver. She clearly adores the canines and is kind and gentle with them. Her home is clean and set up to accommodate her guests. Her communication is prompt and she keeps You in the loop with pictures and videos. We are so glad we found Jane and will use her again.”

“Lauren was great. She was super friendly and responsive and took great care of Chloe! Would've enjoyed a few more photos maybe, but there was no doubt our dog was being well taken care of.”

“Candice was amazing and we could tell our dog Zoey had a great time with their family! Very responsive and punctual with both pick up and drop off. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Bob watched our dogs over our wedding weekend and even assisted in our grand plan to have the dogs in the wedding by driving them to the venue and picking them up which was a huge help! He was very responsive and helpful and our dogs seemed very happy and content in his home.”

“Jennifer, Thomas and their girls took such good care of our pup. They sent frequent updates and photos throughout the visit, and we could instantly tell how comfortable our dog was in their home. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“Cipriana and Pamela were communicative and professional. Dorito was much calmer than I thought she would be for her first overnight away. Thank you!”

“We boarded our two dogs with Diana this past week. Both of the dogs are rescues and bit skiddish around people, so we met for a brief meet & greet prior to the boarding date with her dog. The dogs got along great. I felt comfortable knowing that Diana has had a lot of experience caring for dogs - she provided good updates to throughout their stay and was very responsive. I would highly recommend and would use her services in the future!”

About: I grew up with all different types of animals my whole life. I have been a dog mom for 13 years. I am great at walking dogs who have aggression towards other dogs, I know how to find a calm route to take and distract them before conflict arises! I recently lost my 90 lb alapaha blue blood bulldog mix to a terminal illness and am looking forward to spending time with other people's dogs. I am a self employed artist, volunteer, and executive director of a free store that I physically staff on Saturdays, so I have a very flexible schedule. I will care for pets in your home with so much attentiveness and love! Just give me a set of instructions and I am happy to hang out :)
“Amanda was great with our dogs. She listened carefully to each of their needs and made sure to accommodate particular requests. Amanda was prompt in getting back to us anytime we reached out and sent us occasional photos of the dogs playing or resting. She has a lovely home and large fenced-in backyard where the dogs could run free and get plenty of exercise. We felt at ease knowing our precious pups were kept safe and warm while we were away!”

“Our Cat Alan loved staying with Taylor. So much so tear he cried when I picked him up and he had to leave. Taylor was very responsive and sent many great photos and videos of him looking very happy.”

“Nicole has a wonderful fenced property and is extremely attentive to our puppy and senior dogs needs, making sure they are getting along well with her other guests, sending lots of photos and updates! We would love to book again!”

“Kaitlyn was amazing! She helped us out when we were in a pinch and needed dog sitting for a weekend with only one days notice! We had never had Lucy boarded anywhere before and we were a bit nervous about the process, but it went so smoothly! She sent pictures to reassure my kiddos she was being well taken care of! I would definitely recommend her services and will be using her again for dog sitting in the future!”

“Simon watched our little pup while we went away for the weekend. The two of them became fast buddies and we were grateful to know our little guy was with someone he was so comfortable with.”

“Vera is an incredible host! Our 1yo pup was in excellent hands while we were away for a week. She accommodated an extra day and gave plenty of daily exercise and attention. We’ll be back for another stay for sure!”

“We went on vacation, my dog went on vacation. Bottom line. Sarah and Aaron (and family) took amazing care of our pupper and I'm sure she was likely a bit sad as we drove away when picking her up The peace of mind knowing she was taken care of as a full fledge (visiting) family member meant everything to us. No detail was overlooked and she was received with open arms - including an adorable welcome sign for us. We got pictures and updates the whole way through and Sarah and Aaron were super responsive and accommodating even when we made many changes to schedules/drop off pick up times. If you are looking for a situation where your dog will be taken care of and loved as their own - this place is it - you won't go wrong booking with this lovely family.”

“Samantha and her family are amazing. Honestly. My first time boarding my 3 month old puppy and they made it so easy. Communication and kindness!! Such genuine people. Thank you for everything!!”

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
