About: Tailored pet care, where experience meets compassion. I have a huge heart for all animals! And would care for your pets as they were my own. I am currently working a full time working mom from Sat-Tuesday. I am home with our son We’d-Fri and looking to show our son the value in caring for others. unfortunately i couldn’t bring any furry babies home with me as our home is full, but we can always come visit them in their homes and offer walks, pets, and treats !

Autumn did a great job! She gave attention to all 5 cats, fed them and played with them. One cat needed a pill and the other an insulin injection. She did great and we would have her sit for us again!

We were very pleased with the way Gwen took care of our goldendoodle whole we were away for 8 days. She provided a variety of photos showing our dog walking, sniffing outside, eating, drinking and resting on her bed. We could tell that she was very comfortable. We highly recommend Gwen for short-term as well as longer drop-in visits.

Jenna communicates so well! Inga is a rescue who had a rough 2 years as a pup. It has taken Inga 14 years of TLC from us to get to where she is - lovable and sweet. Jenna is experienced and knows how to approach Inga and win her over her affection. Kudos to Jenna❣️

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes for over 5 years and personally own a husky and a Belgian Malinois mix, so I’m very experienced with high-energy and large breeds. I’m comfortable with structured walks, basic obedience reinforcement, crating, feeding schedules, and giving lots of exercise and attention. Friends, neighbors, and family trust me to care for their pets as if they were my own! Your pets safety and comfort are always my top priority. I currently work part-time while attending college, which gives me flexibility during the week. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, and sitting on most weekdays and weekends. My schedule allows me to provide consistent care, exercise, and attention to your pet. I prioritize safety and clear communication. I always follow owner instructions carefully regarding feeding, exercise, and routines. I’m comfortable using crates if needed and ensuring doors, gates, and leashes are secure at all times. I provide regular updates and photos so you feel confident and connected while you’re away.

About: I have many years of experience with animals. As a teenager I worked at a vet for about a year were I helped clean kennels, take dogs out for walks as well as feed and clean up after them. I have also had my own pets since I was very young. Including dogs and cats as well as rabbits and hamsters. I have taken care of kittens as young as a week old to pets being days away from passing on. I am currently a stay at home mom. I have a 2 month old little boy and a 6 year old boy. I also have 2 dogs myself. A almost 3 year old beagle and a 2 year old red heeler. They certainly keep me on my toes but I am willing to take on the needs of other peoples pets as if they were my own. I know how heartbreaking it is to have to keep your pets inside alone all day while having to work or are going away and need some reliable to help with them so me being able to help you and them is something I want to be able to do. I have 2 dogs that are my other babies. While I’m home I’m constantly taking them outside for walks when I can as well as playing with them. My beagle is a cuddly girl so we definitely spend some time lounging around and cuddling on the couch as well.

About: I have been in pet care since I 2019 starting with my own puppy. Since then I have worked in professional pet care in education and training through Petco and local businesses. I am dedicated to providing the best and personalized care to your fur baby. I know how important trusting someone to watch over your pet is. I myself have three dogs, two cats, one bird, one spider, five frogs, and one house full of beautiful chaos and love. I want to be the person to put your mind at ease while you are away. During my time with your animals, I will treat them as they are my own with kindness and respect. I will be honored to help care for your little (or big) pet babies! I want this to be my full time job as much as possible. I have my internship (animal care at a local AZA certified zoo) Monday and Friday, but am otherwise free. I have a two story duplex with a fenced in yard in a quiet and safe neighborhood. I love being outdoors and can even offer hikes after getting to know your dogs a little more. I thrive on attention to detail and can even do medication administration and body examinations.

About: What sets me apart is my background as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. While I love playtime and cuddles, I provide a level of oversight that standard sitters cannot. I am proficient in Animal medicine, including insulin injections, subcutaneous fluids, and complex pill schedules. I have a "clinical eye" for the subtle changes in senior pets, ensuring their comfort and catching potential issues early. I am trained in low-stress handling techniques for anxious patients to help keep them happy in their own environment. My years in practice mean I remain calm and decisive in medical emergencies. I provide more than just a check-in; I offer the peace of mind that your pet is being watched by a veterinary professional. I have a pretty consistent schedule and with a pet of my own that has another parent at home with them, I can travel pretty freely. About: My family has owned a pet sitting business in Stroudsburg, called IOU Pet Care, for 15+ years. The first job I ever had was going to people’s homes and walking their pups for an hour, checking food and water bowls as well as litter boxes, or even staying the night there. For the past 15 years, since I was 15 years old, I’ve cared for almost every species of house pet you can think of, in just about every way that the owners needed. I genuinely love animals. Playing with them, training them, caring for them, it’s such a rewarding experience for both of us. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs of my own, and they make my life so much better. I’m always building cat walls and catios, new interactive toys for the dogs, and whatever else I can do to give them all the best lives they could possibly have. When working with my family’s business, it’s always been “customized pet care needs.” I plan to stick with that. I have no allergies. I’ve cared for all ages and sizes of cats, dogs, fish, birds, hamsters, and probably a few other species that aren’t coming to mind at the moment. I can walk, hike, run, feed, clean up after, and administer some medication to a vast majority of your pets. Let me know what you’re looking for, and as long as I can do it, I will!

Ashley is a wonderful pet sitter; both dependable and trustworthy. You can tell she loves animals, spending time during visits not just feeding them, but actually giving the pets love and attention. During my time away, she kept me up to date on the cats' status and sent a lot of photos of the cats being cared for.

Many truly went above and beyond while caring for my cat. She sent me regular updates and pictures and even took time to play my cat's favorite game while I was gone. The temperatures in Seattle rose to dangerous levels in my absence. Mandy eased my anxiety by checking the heat level on the back of my cat's ear to make sure she wasn't overheating. I didn't know about this tactic beforehand and am grateful I could learn from her. It was a comfort knowing my cat was in such good hands.

I can’t thank you enough for looking after my pets while I was traveling for work. You truly went above and beyond, and it is clear they love you. My male cat fell in love with you the first time he met you. Even more amazing is how well my other cat bonded with you; she usually doesn't like anyone—she only tolerates me because I feed her! She letting you pet her was incredible. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of them.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ross. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
