About: I have had pets my whole life, coworkers and friends rely on me to help care for their pets while they’re gone. I have all kinds of experience with more than cats and dogs. I am a stay at home mom. I adjust to things as need be. Consistency is key but things happen sometimes. We have a fairly routine household. I keep pets on leashes at all times. Things can happen or other animals can come by. I am very easy going with the needs of each fur baby.

About: I am a stay at home homesteader that has three rescue doggos that live inside and a guardian livestock dog that spends her days taking care of the farm. We have hatched, raised and spend our days giving all the snacks to almost 50 chickens, 17 guineas, and 6 ducks. We have 2 goats one of which is about to give us a third. I know how hard it can be the travel with peace of mind without your babies with you, and I’d love to be able to help people enjoy your time away from home. Being able to set my own schedule while caring for other animals will allow me the ability to still care for my own animals without pulling time from them. I will do my very best to keep your fur babies routines exactly the same, and love and care for them like I love and care for my own babies.

About: I have had animals my entire life and currently have 5 dogs, 5 cats and a horse. My full time job is on a farm taking care of horses so I have the ability to administer fist aid and medications and am comfortable with all sizes and shapes of animals. Also have experience with goats and pigs. I currently work part time and travel some for work so my schedule is flexible and easy to work around. I have the ability to work evenings and weekends when needed. I will make sure to follow all the instructions given to me to properly care for your pet. I have extreme attention to detail and am able to recognize if there might be a problem with an animal because my job has been to have an awareness about how an animal is acting for the past 10 years. I also have extensive experience with my own pets and different issues they have had through my life.

About: I’ve been the go-to family/friend pet sitter my entire life, so I am constantly around animals and committing to taking care of them. I also worked at a pet store, where I learned a lot about pet care, food and products. I’m pretty comfortable around all dogs & cats and I’m always willing to learn and adapt to their individual personalities. When you trust me to play, walk, or take care of your dog, I want you to know that they will receive the dedication and love that my own fur balls get (lots of it!). My partner and I have 2 dogs and 3 cats that I love dearly. My boy dog has some neurological issues which makes his care a bit more complicated but it has given me experience for dogs with additional needs! My availability is currently wide open so I am available for drop ins, dog walking, or house sittings whenever needed! I’m also incredibly flexible and can accept last minute bookings as long as I am given some travel time! When in your home, I would love to take your babies for walks or field trips to the dog park, anything you would already do with them to make them comfortable. I make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, get plenty of attention and playtime, and stay comfortable in their routine. I also keep their space clean and watch for any changes in their behavior or needs in order to let their owner know along with following their owners given directions.

About: Reliable, active, and caring dog sitter who treats every pup like family. I provide personalized attention, plenty of playtime, and a safe, loving environment so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My schedule is built around responsibility, consistency, and staying active, which makes pet care a natural fit. Whether it’s morning walks, playtime, feeding, or evening check-ins, I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. I follow your pet’s normal routine; such as feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddles; while keeping your home tidy, secure, and filled with comfort in your absence

About: I've had animals since I was a girl and haven't been without a pet since I was 10 years of age. Have had multiple dogs and cats at one time but now down to one 13-yr old male. Will always love and have pets as they are an integral part of my life. I derive much joy from their presence. Daily walks and attention to my own dog and look in on friend's dogs when they're away. My dog has his own bed for daytime but sleeps in my bed at night. I have a good sense about animals and will follow the routine they're used to. I love to connect with any animal if they want it and will give cuddles and rubs for comfort and love ❤️

My house is in a well noted and safe neighborhood, with a secured fence and a wonderful backyard. I love spending time with dogs and giving them the love and care they deserve. If you have any specific rules or guidelines for your pooch please let me know, I will do my best to make my home as cozy as their own. I love any dog big or small no matter the breed, color, or disability. I feel I would be great on Rover because dogs are just like children, and should be treated with care and love as if they were my own!! Your dog will be in safe and open arms <3 I work full time from home, but i am always here so your pups are never left unattended , i believe pets are like children, and should still be treated great care and love❤️ I have a fenced yard for potty breaks and outside fun. I do not leave them outside in the back yard, when they potty i stand outs tide with them until they are ready to come inside. Examples of this are playing outside , bonding with toys and giving them treats *unless directed otherwise * , and even watching alittle tv ! *bluey seems to work because Dogs can actually see the colors that bluey presents , it’s very entertaining to them *

About: I grew up on a 100-acre ranch with 13 dogs, so caring for animals has been part of my daily life for as long as I can remember. I helped raise numerous litters of puppies, which taught me everything from feeding schedules and socialization to house training and keeping a close eye on the little ones. Today I regularly watch my friends’ pets and care for my grandparents’ two dogs — feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. Dogs are my favorite people, and I treat every one like my own. I can’t wait to meet your best friend! I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I’m home the majority of the day and your pup will rarely be left alone. My schedule is flexible, which means plenty of time for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and sticking to whatever routine your dog is used to. The house is quiet and calm, which works well for dogs who prefer a low-key environment. My home is a safe, pet-friendly space where your dog is treated like family. We have a large fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to run, play, and sniff around safely. I have a mini blue heeler of my own who’s great company for social dogs, and I’m happy to keep visiting pets separated if yours does better solo (only have her occasionally). I stick closely to the feeding, medication, and walking routine you provide, keep dogs leashed on every outing, and send photo and video updates so you always know how your best friend is doing. If your dog is crate-trained, I’m comfortable using one for rest or bedtime.

I am an early riser and work part-time in pet care. It is my primary job- I have regular clients that are my own aside of rover so my calendar on app may be inaccurate. About: I have been in the veterinary setting since I was sixteen and I've been a veterinary technician for a couple years now! I am now focusing on the most important thing in life which is family and I would love to take care of your fur babies when you need it! I am a certified forehead kisser and a great conversationalist with the non-speaking, I do not discriminate on personality and/or breed. I am confident in my ability to make your fur baby feel comfortable in my presence and I can't wait to meet you! I am available early mornings to afternoons until about 3pm-5pm! (Open to longer days depending on your schedule) Weekend availability when needed. As of right now, I am not offering any overnight stays. Before taking care of your pet, I would love to meet them and also have you show me around your home and/or list out any specifications or requirements. (written out instructions are definitely a preference to have on hand!) If you feel comfortable having the pet at my home, I do live in a gated community with plenty of area for walks and outside time! My home is currently run by a cat named James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser (bonus points if you know who that is) and he could not care less about dogs so he'll just deliver the constant side eye. I am very comfortable administering medicine if needed (including injections) I do require some form of flea and tick prevention - whether that be Nexgard, Seresto collar, or essential oils.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Rosebud. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Rosebud after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
