About: Growing up I have been surrounded by pets and responsibilities surrounding their care. From a young age, I have looked after my own animals as well as the dogs in my neighborhood. In my teens I worked part-time at a doggy day care where I gained valuable skills in animal handling and behavior. I worked with dogs big and small, social and reactive. My background has provided me with the knowledge to work with all kinds of dogs. I am certified in pet CPR and have a pup of my own! I’m currently working in a research lab over the summer which takes up about 6 hours of my week. Luckily, my lab work is flexible so I can work around your schedule to help accommodate your pups needs! I am an outdoorsy person who love to go on walks, especially if I have a furry friend accompanying me. I can go any distance to fit your dogs needs. I am experienced with leash pullers as well as reactive dogs. Because I am certified in pet first aid and worked in a high paced doggy daycare, I know how to react fast. About: I have owned cats and dogs my whole life so I have experience caring for them. I have raised litters of kittens from birth multiple times. I also have a degree in wildlife rehabilitation which is helpful in pet care because I have experience with messy situations, baby animals and unexpected circumstances! My schedule is pretty flexible this summer. I’m typically always available after 5 and weekends. I’m also typically available every other morning but can stop by early morning if needed. I unfortunately cannot offer up my own home/ dorm but would do my best at the client’s home. I am more than willing to spend extra time with pets and ensure they are cared for and happy.

I've owned all kinds of pets growing up from dogs and cats to mice, bunnies, birds, fish, and even a snake and a frog. I will treat your pets the same as my own, with respect and complete adoration. I'll even send you pictures of your pets during each visit for when you're missing your babies. I'm currently working towards a bachelor's of science degree, so I'll be pretty busy in the morning on weekdays (when in Banner elk, nc). My schedule usually calms down after 12pm, except Teusdays which are very busy. Please feel free to message me about what you're looking for and we can see if things will work out. I will not be able to stay at your house 24/7 due to my schedule. I will also have to go home for school breaks (winter/summer/spring). When I am at home (Newport News, VA), I will be available 24/7. Just message me and I'll let you know if my location has changed or will be changing before the date you need. But I will be doing my best to change my location on here in a timely manner. I'm a big advocate for playtime. I won't just stand around your house during the scheduled visits and let your dog be bored. We'll play with toys and run around and if you have a fenced in yard you can be sure I'll be out there throwing a tennis ball or playing tug of war with your pup until they're exhausted. I'll make sure our walks leave your dog well excersized and ready to nap for hours after we get home.

About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, cats, and birds. I have been pet sitting for the same family for the last 5 years since their jobs and family require them to leave often, but they want to make sure their animals never feel neglected by this. I have administered medication for older cats and dogs, fed and rode horses, learned how to intervene safely in the event of a dog altercation, and love just being around pets of all types and sizes. About: With over 10 years of personal pet experience, 4 with my own dog walking business, and 2 years taking care of several families pets I will provide the best care for your pets and treat them as my own. I have been a pet sitter for dogs from 5 pounds to 100. I love and can accommodate to both playful and calm dogs. I am currently taking summer classes at App State so I have almost full availability with the exception of going to class once or twice a weekday. I can provide indoor and outdoor care in your home. Three of my dogs are crated while i’m not home but after Im home they get to run around inside and they are walked before i leave, and while Im home. Once Im doing this full time they will not be crated as much. I do not have a fenced in yard so they are walked instead as much as possible! But could also put up a temporary fence if needed!

I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a full time potter who just opened an art gallery in downtown Blowing Rock. I run the gallery Wednesday-Sat 11-5 and Sunday 1-5. Beyond those hours, I can make myself available to spend time with your pet(s) either at my home or yours, as frequently as is needed. If your pet needs a potty break midway through my shift, I may be able to accommodate by having a friend cover my gallery mid day to run to let them out. Otherwise, I’ll just be sure they get a good thorough walk before and after my shift. I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals.
