Well, by the time we went to pick Winnie up we were worried she wouldn't want to come home with us. Mary worked with Winnie on basic commands, slowing down eating, had great suggestions for how to keep her occupied and even got her hooked on her homemade Pup Pops! We got photos, texts and videos every day which made it possible to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing that our baby was having a GREAT time at her new Auntie's house. About: Aside from my own pets over the years, I’ve also provided care and comfort to pets of family and friends. Whether in my home or yours, I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I know how hard it is to find a safe place for our fur babies when we have to travel. Our pittie mutt, Hank, can’t wait to meet your pups! I recently retired after 36 years of teaching and have lots of free time to care for your fur babies. We have a large fenced in deck (and pool for our swimmers). Our 12 acres are not fenced but are cleared for easy walks, on or off lead as desired. Our home sits well off the main road. We’re not opposed to taking pups for rides in our side by side. House trained dogs have freedom in our home. We’re suckers who allow pets on furniture and provide all the love and cuddles needed to make them comfortable. We have plenty of room for crates if your pup is more comfortable in one. In your home, I will follow your house rules. Depending on location, I can come and visit or stay overnight. I can bring mail and packages in for you and take care of your plants. 🪴

About: I have a country setting home and have a mini farm that's slowly growing. My animals are part of my family so they are treated as so. I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys and my days consist of caring for my entire family. Have transportation if necessary and an incredible vet if anything God forbid were to happen during my care. Proper care consisting of following proper feeding schedules. Exercise consists of walks at the park and bathing if necessary. Lots of cuddles of pets if necessary and probably if not but definitely observant of pets needs. All animals will be given the respect they deserve. I'm fully aware of all normal dietary restrictions animals have.

About: I've had the privilege of loving a variety of dogs: a large rottie/shepherd mix, a rat terrier, and currently an american lab puppy. Now that our lab is beginning to calm down, I'm eager to use my energy to help other people care for their pets! We used Rover for many years and I understand how important it is to find loving, last minute care for your beloved pet. I'll be sure to show your pups the best of care while you're away! I live by Barclay mountain, south of Towanda and commute to the Sayre/Athens area for work, which allows me to check in on pets in a wide range. I'd be happy to swing by before and after work as well as on my lunch as long as your location allows! We have a large, unfenced lawn (one day planning to put in a fence for future farm animals) and a small pond on our large, wooded property. Our dog is boundary trained but we keep a long 50 foot lead for visitors! Dogs are welcome to snuggle up on the couch but generally expected to sleep in their crate or bed as bedrooms are off limits to our furry friends. When I come to you to care for your pets, it's important to me that I follow the usual routine that you've established with them!

“Amanda was a godsend for boarding our three dogs while we were away for five days. We were anxious since it was our dogs’ first time being boarded. The pups didn’t exactly make a great first impression—let’s just say they had some settling in missteps in the first 10 minutes that had us cringing. But Amanda was amazing, brushing it off with a smile and total confidence. She knows her stuff, having worked with veterinary’s practice, and made us feel quite comfortable leaving our pups with her. She sent us daily texts and pics, which was a relief. The dogs clearly loved her, and by the time we picked them up, they were chill, happy, and obviously well-fed and exercised. We’re already looking forward to booking Amanda again.”
