About: I have had and cared for dogs all of my childhood! I even worked as a kennel attendant at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. I have worked with all breeds and sizes of dogs. I have no issue with following specific care routines! I am currently a student at the University of Evansville! I would be able to visit with and care for your pets before, between, and after classes during the week and whenever you request during the weekend! I will gladly follow any diet restrictions and medication accommodations for your pet! I will feed, play with, and walk (if requested) your pet. I am prepared to clean up any messes that may be made by your pets during my time in your home or with your pet!
“Ellie was the best doggie sitter for my 3 pups! This was a pretty short notice trip, and Ellie put our minds at ease during the meet and greet. You can tell she just loves animals! She sent pictures several times throughout the day. Great communication, kept us very informed! We will 100% use her again and would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Beth was amazing I had peace of mind my entire trip away! She is awesome about communicating through consistent updates with pictures and messages, came home to a very happy cat! Very pleased and would highly recommend! I’ll surely be booking with her again!”

About: Dogs have always been part of my life, and I’ve been caring for them since I was young. I’m trustworthy and focused on keeping your pet comfortable and safe. I am unemployed so I'm free all weekdays. I do go out on weekends though, but can still care for your pet when needed. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. They are very playful and good with other animals. I also have a house with a fenced in yard.
About: I'm reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to following your care instructions closely, from feeding schedules and medications to favorite walking routes and playtime. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring, dependable hands. I work full-time, so I am mostly available over the weekends, but can do a couple of hours of sitting after 7 pm on weekdays. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any special care your pet needs. I make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while keeping your home clean and secure.
“Needed a live-in sitter on pretty short notice and I am so glad I found Heidi! Murphy instantly loved her and she kept me up to date consistently on things. Would highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats. Been taking care of my own dogs for 2 years now, but have plenty of experience before that. feeding, bathing, potty training, obedience training. I love to go on long walks with dogs, and I love to play with cats! I am a part time server and nanny. I start school in the fall and will have extra time on my hands in between classes and homework. I have two dogs at my home, we go on plenty of walks and we have enrichment time indoors as well as outdoors. I would do the same for your doggo children.

About: Growing up me and my family have always had multiple dogs, cats, horses, ferrets, and even hamsters, I was always begging for another animal. My parents had told me if I get this animal I have to take good care of it, so from a young age I have had experience taking care of multiple animals at once, making sure they were fed, walked and properly played with and taken care of! In highschool and college I have had friends and family ask me to take care of their pet while they’re away on a trip so I already have experience either taking an animal in for a day or two or showing up to their house to feed, water, walk and play with the animal. I work around 27-30 hours a week. So during the week most days I am free until 11-noon and then on my break at work I would be able to stop by and finally when I get off work around 7-8 I am free for the rest of the night. I rarely work work Thursday, Saturday or Sunday so those days I will be completely free! I do not have any pets at the moment. My lease does not allow me to have pets. Whenever I was living back home I always made sure I fed my cats and dogs on time and always made sure I had time to play with them so I can make them as happy as they make me!
About: I’ve been professionally pet sitting for 4 years, but grew up around dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve watched dogs of all breeds and ages and love being around animals :) I don’t have any pets in my home due to living in an apartment and love any opportunity I get to spend time with animals. I work in a law office Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 p.m. I am single and don’t have any kids or pets of my own, so I’m able to put all my focus on your animals :) I do not care for pets in my own home due to living in an apartment and I feel that it’s better for the animals to keep them in their own home.
About: I have watched all kinds of breeds of dogs for about five years now her friends and family when they go out of town or on vacation. I currently work 8 to 5 every day during the week except for Thursdays I work 8 to 12 I am available on nights and weekends. I have a fenced in yard, but I prefer to watch dogs at their owners houses rather than mine because it is easier on the animals.
About: I have pet sit for people since I have been about 13, I am now almost 20! I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. I have watched all kinds of animals, even a pig! I am a busy girl, but I love to spend any time I can with animals! I would love to take dogs on walks during the day or nights. I also stay with your dogs for vacations, work trips, etc. aslong as I’m not away for basketball. I would mainly watch dogs in my clients home. Stay the night with them, feed them, and take them on walks. I also love to have playtime with them if they’re up for it, but if not I love to cuddle and give them lots of lovins!
“Heather was great with our special needs baby! She sent lots of pictures and updates and left our home in the same condition it was when we left. Super friendly! I would definitely trust her again with my babies!”

About: Since I got my first pet at age 5 (a cat), I have been about them the rest of my life!! I love all animals, especially cats and dogs, and I treat them like they are family with lots of playtime and snuggles! I work from home part-time for an Ai company so pet sitting supplements my income and I absolutely love it! I seem to befriend animals more more people but people are cool too! ;) I am up to date on many safety skills and hazards around animals, like what to do when they are hurt or what foods to keep away from them! I make sure I'm always keeping them safe and following the owners complete instructions. I also always clean up their messes while I am there and anything that needs cleaned up upon arrival will also be taken care of. For dogs, I can also do baths and brushing, walking, hiking, etc.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 99 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Rolling Acres. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rolling Acres walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rolling Acres maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rolling Acres choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
