“What was going to be very routine turned into a challenging situation just before we left for our vacation. Allison rose to the occasion as it was very difficult to give our tortoiseshell cat her medications. It was very trying but she kept working to find a solution. Thank you Allison!”

“Reese took exceptionally good care of our dog and house while we were on vacation this summer. When our travel schedule was altered last minute, Reese was very flexible and accommodating. While she was here she gave Cosworth his meds without any problems or complaints. And most importantly, Cosworth liked her! Reese is very conscientious and takes her Rover assignments seriously. We recommend Reese without reservation, and hope she’ll come back to take care of Cosworth for us again.”

About: Hello! My name is Leila (pronounced Layla), and I am 25 years old. I am looking for a role as a pet provider of any fashion needed. I consider myself a kind, nurturing, and supportive individual who loves every pet or family member as if they were my own. With over 15 years of pet experience, I have worked in shelter facilities and lots of individual homes with many different pets. Most recently, I've been providing nanny services for date nights in my area and every house has one or more fur baby that I spend my time with. I am familiar with feedings, walking, medication techniques, and even one house I sometimes help take their dog to the vet with them! I have worked with cats, dogs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, turkeys, and when I was younger, I had a house with horses as well. I've worked with up to 6 dogs at once, all big/energetic dogs, so I know how to handle big and loving energy haha! I even know cat and dog CPR from learning online and doing research on my own in case I ever need it. I love learning new facts about animals and pets, and I definitely love to learn the basics of emergency situations and care too, which always comes in handy whether you need it or not. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your pet(s), building a special bond and friendship with everyone involved. I strive to be a dependable person and always aim to provide my best support to others. Hope to hear back from you soon, thank you for your time! I usually have an open schedule and I’m always happy to help however and whenever. I’m usually at home with my own animals anyways so I’m always down for more fuzzy cuddles! I treat each and every animal as if they were my own (and I spoil my pets like crazy)! I follow the instructions of each family down to a T if that’s what needs to be done and if there is any room for my own input or festivities, I always try to make it more fun or loving or easier for everyone involved. Pets have emotion and feelings just as much as babies do, so if you’re going to care for any animal, treat it as if you’re raising a baby, something precious and sweet, because that’s what they are.
About: I've taken care of all kinds of animals since I was ten, I even have 5 of my own, so I'm experienced in behaviors, grooming, and administering medications if they're needed. I can do overnight stays and check ins during the day. I can do fill day stay overs, but will need a few days notice to make it work. Im very big on slow introductions and making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable around me. My own dog and cats are rescues so I know how nervous new introductions and new people can make animals.
“Heather is an absolute gem and after how well she did we will be using her for all of our future pet care needs. When we met her our dogs immediately loved her and so did we. She is easy to talk to and had no problem accommodating our dogs special needs. We were gone for about a week and during that time I got consistent updates and photos of our animals. Whenever I messaged her to check on them she was immediately responsive. She left our house just the way she found it and our animals were all very loved and well cared for. I know it is always scary leaving your animals in the care of someone you don't know but we trusted our gut on Heather and we are so glad we did.”

“Bridget was awesome. She arrived exactly when she was supposed to. I left her a note with instructions. She texted me when she arrived. She sent me pictures of my ding dong. She was even able to stay later, then asked because I could not make it home in time. I came home not only to find a happy dog but a clean house and a beautiful sketch of my dog's face on the countertop. I will definitely use her again.”

“Natasha was absolutely fantastic to work with. Took great care of our furry ones for the weekend. We loved getting pictures and updates. Very responsive and reliable communication. Would book again!”

In a client's home, I follow their specific instructions closely, maintaining their pet's routine, administering medications if needed, and providing lots of love and attention.
“Brittany was very responsible and sensitive to the needs of our dogs. She sent lots of pictures to us and kept us updated on how the dogs were doing. I would recommend her without concern!!”

“Sierra watched out two dogs for the first time and we could not be happier! We received updates and pictures of our pups and felt very comfortable having her watch them! We will be using Sierra again!”

About: I have a love for animals big and small. I enjoy exploring and making new experiences with animals. I have experience with elderly and medical needs animals. I work as a nanny and have sometimes weeks off and would love to have an animal to take care of and take places with me. I have a house with 13 acres, for dogs that are not recall trained I use a 10 ft leash and always make sure leases are on before the door opens. I have a separate room for my own animals that way if rabbits or cats are meet with aggression all animals will be safe.
“Hi, Hamani did a really great job sitting with my dog. He takes him on many walks throughout the day. He plays with him. He cuddles him. As always, my high-spirited dog is a happy, content, physically exhausted dog when I return home in the evening. I know he is well-cared for when Hamani is his sitter.”
About: I bring a wealth of practical knowledge and a calm, attentive approach to pet care. My experience includes working with dogs on basic obedience and providing dedicated senior care, including administering medications. I'm highly patient and capable of giving your pets the personalized time and attention they deserve to thrive while you're away. I'm currently maintaining a full-time schedule, but my availability opens up perfectly for daytime pet care. I'm available to care for your beloved animals Monday through Saturday, specifically from twelve noon until five o'clock in the afternoon, allowing me to provide consistent, attentive service while I start building this exciting clientele. I create a secure, attentive environment where each pet's health, nutrition, and safety are my highest priorities during visits and walks. I'm diligent with medication schedules, custom feeding plans, and providing constant, loving care to ensure complete peace of mind.
“We had a unique situation and opportunity to be away for 1 week, come home for 1 1/2 days and leave again for another week. What we wished for our 3 dogs (2 of the 3 senior dogs) was that they stay in their own home and yard with as little disruption as possible. Donna allowed us to do that by staying at our home and maintaining our dog routines for us. Our dogs had a "stay - cation" and we had the vacation. Donna posted pictures and sent us notes so we didn't worry. Upon our return we found 3 happy girls who welcomed us home as if we never had been away. Also upon our return we found a plate of delicious cookies handmade by Donna”

About: I went to FCCC and had worked with dogs for as long as I can remember. I love animals and will take good care of your pets! I am currently not doing anything for work so I am free any week day and some weekends. I am on a travel softball team so some weekends I will be busy. I live in the country down a long lane so we don’t have a fence, we just let our dogs run free. They are pretty trained but if you are not comfortable with this I can put your dogs on a lease or just watch them at your house.
“Autumn watched our golden retriever for the week while we were on vacation. She sent lots of pictures and we were very happy to know that Lena was in good hands. Very respectful of our home and we will definitely book again!”

“Maggie was so awesome! We had her help out with our wedding as the dogs were in it and she was punctual, followed all instructions, and managed our two dogs outside over six hours. The dogs loved her and everything went perfect! Thank you Maggie!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 100 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Rollin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rollin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rollin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rollin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
