“I highly recommend Cynthia and plan to book again soon!. Our pup had an excellent experience, especially for her first visit. Cynthia went above and beyond in every category, including communication and care, walking her daily, and even giving her a bath. She came home bright, happy and in beautiful condition with special treats. Cynthia is a warm, caring, and very responsible sitter, noting all details. Her emphasis on safety, and frequent photos were especially appreciated. Our pup was very well looked after in every way, thanks to the kindness of Cynthia!”

“I was honestly a little nervous at first because I didn’t have the best experience with a previous sitter, but I’m so glad I found her! She constantly kept me updated and sent me pictures, which made me feel so much better while I was away. Benny looked like he had such a good time and when I got him back he was sooo cuddly and happy. I could tell he was comfortable and really well taken care of. Benny will definitely be coming back!!”

“Our two labs looove staying at Sheri's and hanging out with her dog Sam. It's so great knowing that they are in excellent hands - enjoying themselves, getting exercise, and staying safe!”

“My dogs obviously felt comfortable with Nicole and her dogs right from the start. She’s got a nice big fenced yard and they had fun playing together. She really helped me out in a pinch!”

“Mila was so sweet to my senior pup Charlie! This was my first time boarding him with anyone. We FaceTimed before hand which reassured me that Charlie was in good hands, she took notes regarding special routine things he needed and while on my trip Mila sent photo updates that put my mind at ease. Charlie was loved and well taken care of, going to Milas made him feel like a part of the family ! We’ve pre booked with her again and I know Charlie is looking forward to it !”

About: While I may be new to professional pet sitting, my husband and I have been dog owners for nearly 10 years, and our kids have grown up loving and caring for animals, so having pets around is a normal part of our family life. Caring for our own dog has given us a lot of hands-on experience with special dietary needs, administering medication, daily walks, and basic grooming. We understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your pet, and we will treat every pet in our care like they’re part of our own family. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and homeschool my 3 kids, so we’re home quite a bit! Daily walks are already part of our normal routine, and we’ll be happy to include your pup. There will also be plenty of time for play, attention, and snuggles throughout the day. The longest we typically leave the house is about 3–4 hours, and that’s no more than twice a week. We have a fenced backyard. It is on the smaller side, but there is still plenty of room for a little play and fresh air. We also have baby gates in place to keep our toddler safely in areas where we can supervise him, and those will also be used to help keep pets safely separated when needed. We want every pet in our care to feel comfortable, safe, and at home while they’re with us.
“Matt and Sander took excellent care of our pup while we were away for a week. They sent a ton of great updates so we knew she was having a great time! They were very easy to book with and communicative throughout. Would definitely book again or recommend to a friend!”

“Aarika was very responsive, polite and flexible. I felt that she was easily accessible. My pup was very happy and clearly well taken care of. It was clear to me that she treated him as if he was her own and that’s exactly what I’m looking for in a Dog Sitter . I almost don’t want to leave her a good review because I want to keep her services all to myself! Haha .”

“William is a great dog person. His set up in his house and yard is perfect. When i pull in to his driveway tucker is waging his tale and happy as can be. So lucky to find him. ☘️”

“Bethany and her family took such good care of our old pup. She was spoiled the whole time she stayed with them. We definitely will be re-booking with her in the future.”

“I could not be happier with Kayla and her kiddos! They took excellent care of Phoenix, he was loved and became part of the family. Kayla went above and beyond seeing to what he needed ( Phe needed addional medication which she arranged for and picked up from vet! ) Kayla sent many pictures which were delightful and reassuring. I was able to relax and not worry about where Phoenix was. Kayla is a gem!”

“Ashley was awesome for Rufus! She sent plenty of updates and was very communicative throughout. Very nice and clean home with kids to play with which I'm sure Rufus loved.”

“Kimberley does a great job watching our dog Louie. She gives photo updates and it’s obvious she loves animals. We feel lucky to have found Kimberley for dog sitting!”

“Benji had such a fun time with Mary he didn’t want to leave! Thank you for taking such good care of him and giving him the physical and mental simulation he needed. He was pooped! If anyone is looking for dog boarding I would recommend Mary for sure!”

“This was our dog’s 2nd stay with Britt. He is always happy and healthy when he comes home. Britt is so caring and accommodates the dog’s needs. She messaged us daily with a photo to let us know how he was doing which we really appreciated. She is professional and very knowledgeable about dogs. We will bring Mocha back again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Rodena Beach home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Rodena Beach.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Rodena Beach sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
