“About 1-1/2 months ago, we brought in a stray cat who was very scared of everything. Unfortunately, we had previously planned a 10 day trip and so were concerned as to what to do about our new cat, Percy. We searched online and discovered Rover. Bridgette, who does pet sitting through Rover, agreed to be at our home over the 10 day period when we would be gone. We are grateful that Bridgette was able to stay 24 hours a day as Percy was just too new to be left alone for long periods of time. We were delighted with the work she did for us. She was very responsible and we felt comfortable leaving her in charge of our home and Percy. Bridgette is very sweet and soft-spoken which was perfect for our anxious cat. He was very wary of her and hid away for much of the time, but Bridgette continued to care for his needs, plus her presence in our home must have given him a sense of companionship. My experience is been extensive with a variety of all animals, my foster Mom was an animal whisper if it would had been her she would had had a sanctuary of all kinds of animals. Since I work per diem, my schedule varies from week to week, which gives me flexibility to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I’m able to plan my availability in advance and make sure I have plenty of time to give each pet individual attention rather than rushing through visits. I also enjoy spending my free time outdoors, walking, hiking, and spending time with animals, so caring for pets fits naturally into my lifestyle! I provide care in your home through house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of attention and cuddles. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and individual needs so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. During house sitting, I’ll keep your pet company and maintain their usual routine while also taking care of your home. For drop-ins and walks, I’ll make sure your pet gets the exercise, bathroom break, playtime, and attention they need. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

As I am home full-time, we are able to give around the clock attention to the animals we care for! Your pet will get all the loves, just like at home. We are open to all preferences and follow care instructions thoroughly. In my free time, when I'm not caring for pets, I enjoy cooking, traveling, hiking, the outdoors and playing music. We also have a neighborhood fully fenced dog park 5 minutes walking distance from our home. We are very outdoorsy as well and enjoy long dog walks to our local beach and park.

About: While I may be new to professional pet sitting, my husband and I have been dog owners for nearly 10 years, and our kids have grown up loving and caring for animals, so having pets around is a normal part of our family life. Caring for our own dog has given us a lot of hands-on experience with special dietary needs, administering medication, daily walks, and basic grooming. We understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your pet, and we will treat every pet in our care like they’re part of our own family. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and homeschool my 3 kids, so we’re home quite a bit! Daily walks are already part of our normal routine, and we’ll be happy to include your pup. There will also be plenty of time for play, attention, and snuggles throughout the day. The longest we typically leave the house is about 3–4 hours, and that’s no more than twice a week. We have a fenced backyard. It is on the smaller side, but there is still plenty of room for a little play and fresh air. We also have baby gates in place to keep our toddler safely in areas where we can supervise him, and those will also be used to help keep pets safely separated when needed. We want every pet in our care to feel comfortable, safe, and at home while they’re with us.
