This is the first time I have boarded my dogs, and the first time being away from my younger dog since rescuing him from the shelter. Pamela was so warm and welcoming, the dogs were relaxed and happy in her care. She sent me pictures and updates every day. She was extremely flexible as we navigated our return across three states to try and beat a winter storm. I could see from the way they interacted with her when I picked them up that they adored her. We will\nDefinitely use her again!

About: I have at somepoint had 100+ pets with my ex that we took care of together. I have adopted "agressive" pets only for them just needing a loving home to feel comfortable. We also fostered a bunch of pets to help when APL was struggling for space. I do have a very busy schedule myself. However I make time to spend with our pets. We make homemade food for them and have a bunch of toys for them to play with. My partner is a stay at home spouse so no one gets into too much mischief. I view pets as family members and they have the comfort of laying on the couch and bed with us. We have a decently big yard with a fence for them to run about and have outside time.

Ashley was absolutely amazing with Ark! He is a young, high-energy puppy who can definitely be a handful, but she took such great care of him and kept me updated throughout his stay. It was clear that she was patient, attentive, and genuinely cared about his well-being. Ark came home happy, healthy, and tired—which is not an easy accomplishment! I also really appreciated how welcoming she was and how comfortable she made the whole experience. I would trust her with Ark again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. Thank you so much for everything, Ashley!

Kari is so wonderful with the animals she cares for. I could tell by the way my dog Ruger acted as soon as he entered her home. Usually when I pick him up, he let's me know that he's not pleased I was gone, but after a stay with Kari he is totally calm and happy. Thanks for taking such great care of my boy!

Here’s a polished positive review you could use: Kristen was absolutely wonderful watching my two boy dogs while I was on vacation. She was friendly, reliable, and very communicative throughout the entire stay, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated regularly and was always quick to respond to messages. Most importantly, my boys absolutely loved her! It was clear they were well cared for, happy, and comfortable in her care. I would highly recommend Kristen to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter, and I would gladly book with her again.

About: I have experience fostering dogs with the animal shelter APL and have a small toy poodle of my own. He is very friendly with other dogs and loves to play. I love dogs and would love to have the opportunity to watch dogs and take care of others! I am open to watching dogs for a couple hours, a day, or even a couple of days if that is what is needed. My house has a small backyard and I am also available to do drop ins at the dogs own home. The area is very quiet and would be comfortable for another dog to be in. If I am caring for someone else's dog I plan on being home for the time I'm watching the dog so that it will be well taken care of. I’m currently only working part time so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals. I am available early mornings or early afternoons to give your animal a break during the workday! I am also available any time on the weekends. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs to keep your dog company. I have a toy poodle and a golden retriever. I can also do drops in to walk or play with your dog as well!

About: I have spent my entire life caring for animals. Throughout my life I have had many animals from birds and Guinea pigs to cats and dogs. Koda, my youngest dog was completely trained by me in German commands. Working with dogs to learn new things is one of my favorite things to do. My oldest dog, Motley is a senior and the past couple years I have become very educated and trained on administration of medication and post surgery care. With experience from my own pets, I have many reliable references I have gained over the years that can vouch for me on my loving, dedicated, and superior care with their fur babies. I am currently a nanny and have almost completely open availability. I work Monday through Thursday during the day but can still do visits anytime! And I’m off Friday through Sunday so anytime those days as well! When visiting your home I am happy to provide any services you may need for your pet. This includes special feeding instructions, medication distribution, daily walks, baths, guaranteed playtime, and more all while treating them as my own with so much love! I am also happy to do drop in visits while you are at work or walks to get your babies steps in.

About: Hi, I’m Erica — a highly experienced animal care professional with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for pets and farm animals of all kinds. I’m trained as a veterinary assistant, including assisting with surgeries, administering medications, and caring for senior, disabled, and post-operative animals. I specialize in calm, consistent, in-home care for pets who do best staying in their familiar environment. Many of my clients have animals with medical needs, anxiety, blindness, mobility challenges, or strict routines, and they trust me to provide compassionate, detail-oriented care while they’re away. I’m also very comfortable with multi-pet households, rural properties, and farm animals. Having grown up on a farm myself, I understand the responsibility that comes with caring for animals large and small, as well as maintaining a home and property with respect and reliability. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind, keep your pets safe and happy, and treat your home with the same care I would my own. -20+ years caring for animals of all species and temperaments -Veterinary assistant training, including surgery assistance -Medication administration (oral, topical, injections if required) -Special-needs pets (blind, senior, diabetic, post-surgical, anxious) -Farm and rural animal care -House sitting and extended stays -Potty training and behavioral reinforcement -I’m calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and deeply respectful of routines — especially when animals depend on consistency. Pet care is intentionally woven into my daily and weekly routine, not added on as an afterthought. I structure my schedule around the animals in my care so they receive consistent attention, enrichment, and calm companionship throughout the day. This allows me to be fully present for feedings, walks, playtime, medication needs, and individualized routines, while also offering flexibility for pets who need extra time, patience, or reassurance. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s what my days are built around. Safety, trust, and comfort are the foundation of every service I provide. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I prioritize calm, consistency, and close supervision. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs so their care feels familiar and stress-free. In my home, pets are welcomed into a clean, secure, and peaceful environment with plenty of space to relax and play. Supervised outdoor time is provided in a safely contained area, and all interactions are thoughtfully managed to ensure each animal feels comfortable and respected. In a client’s home, I treat the space with the utmost care and follow instructions precisely to maintain the pet’s normal routine. With over 20 years of hands-on animal care experience, including veterinary assistant training, I am confident administering medications, supporting senior pets, and caring for animals with special needs. I maintain clear communication, provide regular updates, and care for every pet as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and genuine love.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
