About: I have taken care of fur babies since I was a child. I am currently 55 years old, so a very long time! I lived on a ranch for a good portion of my life with all types of animals, from kittens and puppies, to cattle and horses. I have fostered litters of kittens for roughly 10 years. No pet is too complicated for me! (Except maybe snakes) My schedule is kept open for pet care. It helps me stay motivated when I get to play catch with and love on the kitties and doggies I have a fenced in large backyard with no holes. I do have two pet friendly dogs and two pet friendly cats in my home and they are all great with other animals. I believe that it is important to respect other people’s homes and care for their pets as if they were my own. Pets are not only companions, they are family members.

About: I have always been the go to person when it comes to pet sitting and dog walking. I have had my own reactive dog for the last 6 years and attend training classes with her every week. Which has helped me learn even more skills when it comes to dog care. I currently only do this. So my schedule is very open. I take my own dog out to play early in the morning because of the summer heat. So once I’ve taken care of mine, I am free! I am comfortable coming to your home. I can either play with your dog at your house, or take them out on a walk. I also love cats and have one of my own. So I am willing to check on cats, give medicine, clean litter boxes, and play.

“Ash was a godsend when we came to Chico to tour the University campus. She watched Midnight while we did the tour, which made it stress-free for everyone. She was sweet with Midnight and so helpful. I would highly recommend Ash!”

About: Hi! I’m Brooke – a Chico State student with a big heart for animals and an even bigger love for the outdoors. I’ve been around dogs my whole life, and caring for them feels like second nature. Whether it’s a peaceful walk through Bidwell Park, a splash in the river, or a playful backyard romp, I’m all about keeping your pup happy, healthy, and loved. I meet each dog where they’re at—whether they need a slow stroll, a high-energy hike, or just someone to cuddle with while you’re away. I truly believe dogs are family, and that’s how I treat every pup I care for. My goal? To make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and delightfully tired after a fun-filled day. I love staying active and usually start my mornings with a run or walk with my girl Marmy– and I’d be thrilled to bring your dog along for the adventure! I’m also experienced with senior dogs and pups with special needs, and I use only gentle, positive reinforcement to build trust and joy in every interaction. A few things I offer: 🐾 Daily adventures, walks, and outdoor play 🐾 Calm, loving care for all ages and energy levels 🐾 Attention to special needs and little quirks 🐾 A warm lap and plenty of belly rubs If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own and make sure their days are full of love and movement, I’d love to connect! I am available evenings, afternoons, and mornings. I work a job at a Cafe in town and work mainly early mornings with few afternoons. My hours tend to be short so I have plenty of time to give your furry friend all the love! I dont believe in yelling or ever hitting any pets. I work extensively with my dog to train her with love and kindness. I only act kindly and never aggressive towards any animals

About: I’ve worked with animals my entire life, but especially in the last 5 years. While taking care of other people’s beloved pets ranging from young to senior pets, I’ve also always had dogs, cats, and other animals of my own. I’m currently a student with a sparse schedule so I will have plenty of time to take care of your beloved animals :) I’m available weekdays and weekends! I have no problems crating animals if needed, along with staying with them outside, taking them on walks, and I’ve worked with reactive dogs in the past.

About: I specialize in providing quality care for cats, dogs, rodents, and reptiles/amphibians. I have extensive experience caring for animals from all walks of life (pun intended), from senior pets who require some extra special attention to the many creatures that typically go unappreciated (especially those of the scaly or slimy variety). I'm not afraid to get down and dirty with pets and have endless patience and understanding when it comes to accidents, behavioral issues, or any of the other less glamorous aspects of pet ownership. I have over a decade of experience with dog, cat, and reptile caretaking, some experience with rodent and bird caretaking, and I am always willing to learn more so I may satisfy your pet needs to a T. I think of and treat pets like the family they are and am dedicated to ensuring and promoting their wellbeing; night or day, rain or shine, I will be there for you and your pets. (Schedule varies depending on school assignments) I can typically work any day of the week but starting 5/11/25 through 8/23/25 I will have Zoom calls I must attend every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm-9:30pm (this only affects drop-ins) (daycare is affected if your pup needs a potty break more frequently than every 3 hours and if you need to pick-up past 6:00pm). Currently I cannot stay overnight but can sit all day at your home multiple days in a row (I just need to go home to sleep). My own dog is small, calm, and well-behaved so he is not to worry about when interacting with your pet in my home during boarding or if you want me to bring him to hang out with your pet during sitting. For boarding/day care: My apartment has a lot of nice landscaping and grassy areas for dogs to play (on or off leash -- you decide) and your dog would get plenty of exercise if that is what you request. I have no qualms about dogs on furniture so if your baby is a couch potato he is more than welcome. I do ask you bring your own leashes, food bowls, and food for your dog for boarding/day care. For sitting you can trust me to be prudent, responsible, caring, and dedicated to your pet's wellbeing, as well as respectful of your home's interior and exterior. About: I’ve studied dog behavior and cared for my own two with an attentive focus on meeting their needs to build a bond. I bring calm energy and heightened observation to pick up on cues like hunger, boredom, apprehension, and curiosity. My goal is to use all information provided by the owner to be an effective caretaker. I enjoy dogs in every sense of the word, and hope to build a bond they can rely on when being around me. I am reliable and a prompt responder in owner communications. I am currently available a good percentage of the week as I am typically substitute teaching as a main source of income. About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals throughout my life. I am 18 years old with a minimum of 6 good years of pet care experience. About: I grew up around every kind of animal, started dog sitting at 15/16 for friends parents and their friends. Now at 21 years old I have been doing this for around 7 years, I have experience with puppies, seniors, administering medications, walks, crate & leash training, and being able to calm a stressful situation. I also posses a special ability to build trust and bond with animals quickly. I love them like they're my own. Pet care is one of my top priorities. We have a lot of animals at home and we always take care of them first and move on with the day from there. When I am watching a clients dog(s), I try to stick to the schedule they normally have the dog(s) on which means my day and the things I chose to do can be done in the remaining time slots. It is important to have routine and structutre. I will always be respectful of the client, their space, and of course their animals. I try to provide a safe, welcoming, and loving energy at all times. Understanding and meeting the needs of the pets is key, but also watching their behavior, sticking to the routine, and stimulating their brains is also all very important.

About: My current employment is with a small business that provides pet care in Chico. Through this job, as well as others, I have learned so much. This has included administering medicine, grooming, training, courses on animal body language, first-aid and dog CPR. I have been working in the pet care field for 7 years now :) Beyond work: I grew up with and around both dogs and cats and always took part in caring for them. I can't remember a time I didn't have a passion for all creatures, great and small <3 I work most days. My schedule usually looks like heading out 1-3 times a day to go do my visits. I'm almost never gone for more than 4 hours. I do my best to care for and love your animals the same as you do, and am respectful of your home and your privacy.

Kiersten S.
“Kiersten is a very good and reliable dog walker. My dog Klay is still learning on the leash and has a tendency to pull. Kiersten exudes a great amount of patience with him, giving him training tips and tidbits along the way. I have noticed improvement in his walking. I was nervous to let someone walk my dog but kiersten has proven extremely responsible and I am so happy that I made the decision to have her walk Klay. Klay gets excited every time he sees her and you can tell she thoroughly enjoys spending time with him.”

“Holly has pet sat for me several times. I have two dogs and three cats that all love having attention. I would highly recommend Holly for future pet sitting needs because she provides the same familial love your pets are used to.”

Athena C.
“Congratulations on choosing Athena ... I have an established (10 years in area) pet sitting & training business with a small client list. I utilize Athena's services when I need an extra body, and she is available. She has been excellent with all the dogs and homes. Some of the pets include a 2-year-old 120# bully/mastiff and her sidekick 12-year-old terrier (with total attitude), a 4# 15-year-old teacup Chihuahua (totally spoiled), an 8-year-old Rat Terrier/Jack Russell, an assortment of terriers in one home (3, with 2 in diapers), as well as a 14-year-old 120# aggressively reactive Shepard/mix. I also have four dogs, 3 border collies (one is deaf) and a Pit/Lab and a parrot. Athena house/pet sits for me as well. She consistently follows client specific directions and instructions on house, pet and yard care, to the letter. My policy, which Athena follows without any hesitation ... "you only know I was there because your pets are happy, well cared for and relaxed, stress free. You won't find a mess in your home upon your return". I trust her to show up, do the feedings, love and pet them, keep them safe and happy, walk them when necessary, and to be 100% reliable! And oh .. do pets love her!”
