“I was so nervous leaving our beast of a dog, Titan. He is tricky due to his deplorable past and emotional issues, but gentle with us. Tracy was calm and positive and it sure seems like all went quite well! We will use him again. We did not worry. Thank you, Tracy!”

“Craig and Edmy are wonderful! We hired them for a second time to walk our dog during the day while I was out of town. We had some last minute schedule changes and they were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be using them again for future trips!”

About: I know how hard it is to leave your beloved fur baby and I want you and your pet to be happy, knowing they're in good hands. I am patient, gentle and affectionate with animals and want them to have a great experience whenever I am with them. I love feeding animals and giving them treats, but I am respectful of the client's wishes and will strictly follow all feeding instructions. I am physically in shape and able to walk/jog with your dog and go on long walks (I also live near the Pufferbelly trail). I will play tug, fetch or whatever game your dog enjoys. I am willing to take your dog on car rides and to the Huntertown dog park upon client request. I have a golden retriever that loves to play and go for walks, so if you want some socialization for your dog, I can also bring him along. My dog will only come by request of the client. I do have 2 cats in my home, so I can only board dogs who are cat (and dog) friendly. Otherwise, I am more than happy to come to your home and care for your dog(s).

About: At Williamson Animal Care and Control I volunteered walking dogs. I also received significant training in dog behavior and dog walking. After retiring from my career, I started my pet sitting and dog walking career. I took care of a rescued Great Pyrenees multiple times during the week and frequently overnight trips for over two years. I recently moved back to the Fort Wayne area from Franklin, TN. Three of my previous dog clients have shown interest in having me come back to stay with their dogs when they’re out of town for more than a couple days. Pet sitting and dog walking are my primary responsibilities along with taking care of my two cats. I have a very flexible and available schedule. I take pride and making sure that the client’s home is as good if not better when I entered. I will walk the dog, feed or treat, make sure the water bowl is full and also if appropriate snuggles.

About: I’ve had both dogs and cats for over 10 years, and animals have always been a part of my life! We currently have a sweet 4-year-old cat who we absolutely adore. Caring for animals is second nature to me, and I’ll treat your pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I am a stay at home mom and I homeschool our 7 year old! She will be with me on walks and drop in visit! I have a flexible schedule to walk your dog or drop in to check on your dog or cat! I have a cat and we are mindful and take precautions so he doesn’t get outside. He was a bit of an escape artist, we were told when we adopted him. I’m a responsible, experienced pet caregiver offering drop-ins and walks with a calm, nurturing approach. My well-behaved 7-year-old will be with me, and we’re both gentle, respectful, and great with animals. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority, and you can expect clear communication and dependable care.

About: Experienced with senior dogs, and I understand patience and gentleness they require. I’m attentive to their routine and health needs. I will treat them like family. I do not work and am available to sit for your dogs or they can come to my home. I will treat them like family. I do not have any other animals and could give my full attention to your dog. I have a peaceful environment at home and welcome the company.

About: I take care of my brothers dogs and friends dogs while they’re out of town. I also have a cat and a Doberman that want love and attention constantly. I love all animals and I haven’t met one that doesn’t love me! I recently started my own business and I’m still building my clientele, so I have random days/times of the day that I’m free to spend walking dogs! I love animals and exercise Looking forward to walking pets and dropping by for check ins if you need me to! I love dogs and cats and have tons of experience with both

About: I have a natural way with animals, especially when it comes to training and understanding their needs. My dog is well-trained, not just in basic commands but also in manners and adventure-readiness, making our hikes and walks smooth and enjoyable. I’ve also mastered the balance of caring for both an energetic dog and two independent cats, ensuring each of them gets the attention and care they need. My ability to read animal behavior and create a structured yet loving environment sets me apart, making me not just a pet owner, but a true companion to my furry family. Every morning before 2 I am more than available to do drop ins other than Sundays. I do in fact work a full time job that I go into at 3. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I follow their routine closely, including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, and any medical needs. For exercise, I provide walks, playtime, and mental stimulation with toys or training games. I also respect house rules, whether it’s furniture boundaries or specific care instructions. Most importantly, I give plenty of attention, whether that’s belly rubs, cuddle time, or just being present to ensure they feel at ease while their owner is away.

About: I've worked with dogs, cats, and other animals since middle school. I've done short- and long-term sitting for dogs varying from a weekend with a mixed breed rescue to a month with a purebred Australian shepherd. I owned an elderly Maltese for three years, until he crossed the rainbow bridge. Currently I do have a limit of dogs of maximum 35 pounds. I am prepared and willing to work with training routines. I studied cats extensively in seventh grade in my attempt to persuade my parents into owning one. (It worked.) As either a cat owner or sitter, I've been working with cats ever since. I have a beautiful little black and white princess named Jane, with an affinity for burrowing in blankets and stealing pens, and a wild child named Lizzie who has never met a stranger. I offer dog and cat walks, animal feeding, water changes, litter box changes, playtime, and brushing. I'm open to pets outside the usual; anything except spiders. My availability is very flexible right now. Send me a message to get a request started! Currently I do gig work and have a very open and flexible schedule. Most Sundays I spend out of town, but feel free to message to discuss custom scheduling. Safety and care in a pet's home is reliant first and foremost on learning the family's routines and location of important items. Every family in every home has a system and routines in place; following those is the smoothest way to keep the animals happy and safe. In my home, I care for two young adult cats I own, as well as foster kittens. Right now, I have a group of four kittens to care for until they reach their goal weight for their spay/neuter surgeries. I do practice robust hygiene routines to ensure no potential illness is transmitted between the fosters and my cats.

“Shari is so sweet! She was great with my two big dogs. Of course most people get scared when big dogs are barking at them, but she was comfortable to just let them do their barking and growling circling her until they realized she was friendly. Very gentle and genuine with my dogs. She left a note thanking me for letting her walk my furbabies and told me how they did. Generous touch. I'm definitely going to book with her again!!”

“We were hesitant to leave Blue w “just anyone”, but after meeting with Jennifer and seeing how she interacted with her helped us get over the hump. Jennifer was totally awesome and my wife and I were able to enjoy our time away, knowing that Blue was in very capable hands. Will use her services again??, and again?”

About: I’ve been a pet owner my whole life. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats that I love! Any time I have the opportunity to care for an animal is a time I am grateful for! “Angie is an absolute angel! My fiance and I have a 2 year old GSD and a 4 year old basset hound. Angie has helped us with our dogs multiple times included checking on them during the day and having them stay over at her house. Angie does a great job with them every time. She is also very active! We met through our dogs meeting her golden retriever, Wrigley at the local dog park. She goes on runs with him and he is a bundle of joy in himself. She also goes very out of her way to make sure her dogs and all dogs she's involved with are safe, cared for and loved. I trust her with my dogs and you should too : )”

River Cove dog parents share their Rover experiences
Millie has been wonderful!! She’s been walking Simon a few times a week for several months now. Simon is always excited to see her. He’s an old pup and Millie never rushes him or takes him farther than he’s able to go. I am so grateful to have her! She’s been very flexible and understanding whenever I’ve had things come up at the last minute. I’m really grateful we were able to connect!
