Before parenthood, I worked at a veterinary clinic specializing in fear-free handling, surgeries, emergencies, grooming, and advanced medicine—giving me hands-on experience with all kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to reptiles, small mammals, birds, and aquatics. We recently said goodbye to our beloved dog after a battle with cancer, and the quiet house has us excited to open our home for dog boarding again. With my vet background and a passion for compassionate care, I provide a loving, low-stress environment tailored to each pet’s needs. As a full-time mom, I’m home during the day to offer plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and enrichment. I prioritize meet-and-greets (completely free!) to ensure we’re a great match for you and your pet before any booking. About: I’ve trained 2 puppy’s myself with leash training and trick training I love working with dogs getting them to be there best when working with them I’m always free and I’m willing to take the time out of my day at any time I need to. About: Let's have some fun! Besides growing up with dogs, I have had the opportunity to work with them in different fields over the last ten years. Volunteering, day cares, boarding facilities, veterinary clinics, and working as a trainer (my full time job) have all been wonderful learning opportunities and exposed me to a lot of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. I am the owner of Long Road Canine Training here in Ashland. Your dog's safety is my number one concern while they are in my care, followed by having a lot of fun and meeting their needs throughout the day. Their days will include exercise, free time in the yard, food puzzles, naps, play time and lots of affection (if they like that). I have lots of dog toys including balls, frisbees, tugs, and a flirt pole. Visiting dogs do sleep in crates at night time**. For boarding please bring with you: Food A chew for the crate 1-2 toys they simply can't live without A blanket / bed for the crate *I have wire and airline style crates as well as bowls so you don't need to pack those unless we discuss otherwise. Being a dog trainer over the last 5 years, taking care of dogs is my every day routine. Fitting another dog or two into my schedule is no problem! Clients that are here will be crated for bedtime, and occasionally during the day when I can't take a dog with me. We have a large fenced in back yard, a treadmill and a park close by for any dogs wanting to go on an adventure. There is also a creek in the back - promise your dog will be bathed before coming home!

About: I have worked with animals pretty much my whole life. My first job was at a doggy daycare in Highschool. Loved it! And now I am a Registered Veterinary Technician that works with small animals and exotics at an animal hospital in their Emergency Department. I am CPR certified and have a lot of knowledge when it comes to having to give medications/knowing about certain health issues. I currently work as a Registered Veterinary Technician full time. I work on tues, wed, thurs and sat 2-12am. So I am available every morning really but Sun, mon, and fridays I am free all day. I am a very active, reliable, hardworking person. I would love nothing more than to come to you and I can provide dog walks and/or home visits!

About: I offer in house boarding So your pet doesn’t have to sleep on a hard floor and be in a kennel. Your pet will be treated as though they are one of my own. If they sleep with you they sleep with me! They are my first priority! Come on out and do a meet and greet! Pet boarding is my biggest priority. Your pet will have all the attention, fun time and proper care they need during their visit no matter how long their visit is. I care for the pets I sit as though their own owner is caring for them. If they have food and water in front of them, 24/7 that will be something that they will have at my facility if they don’t and they have a different regiment that is something they will have in my facility if they have toys, beds, medication at their home that is what i will provide for them as well. If they are, or aren’t allowed on the furniture that is what i will do If they sleep in your bed with you at night they will sleep with me at night. If they go on multiple daily walks, that is what i will do. Your pet will be cared for just the way you care for them.

About: My pet care started when I was 6 years old, I was known as the neighborhood dog catcher. If any of my neighbor's dogs got loose/ran away they would call me to bring them back. I had a 100% success rate every time! I have a love and passion for all animals and it has shown since I could talk. I have 2 dogs of my own, a snake, and fish! One of my dogs is reactive and I have taken online reactivity classes to recognize dog body language and how to work with triggers, so the "problem" dogs are no problem to me! My other dog is a senior so I also have personal experience with senior care and taking things slower for the seasoned pups. All dogs are welcome here! I have very flexible availability and I am willing to work with everyone on getting dates and times that work best for their pets needs! I pay attention to body language and focus on providing a calm and nurturing environment where your pet feels safe and loved. I carefully follow directions and make sure you have total peace of mind while your pet(s) are in my care!

About: Hey there! I’m Kristen. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was in elementary school! I have experience taking care of and owning small and large dog breeds, cats, and even farm animals like goats, pigs, turkeys and cows! I also worked at a local public alpaca farm, Majestic Meadows, and provided love, care and husbandry for a variety of exotic and farm animals, including horses, donkeys, alpacas, llamas, and more! I have experience working with animals who have special dietary needs, special medication needs, senior pets, and pets who have physical disabilities and need extra care and aid! I can brush your pet, clean their ears and teeth (if they will let me and it is safe to do so), and give them a simple bath if you would like! Lastly I do have experience in basic behavior training for dogs, including click/reward training to teach sitting, lay down, and release, however I am NOT a professional dog trainer and am not willing to sit for dogs that experience highly aggressive behaviors or biting towards new people. I am currently doing Rover full time, so I will have plenty of time for your pets needs and for playtime, and am able to make sure that bathroom breaks and meal/snack times are not spaced too far apart :) For house sitting I cannot stay full time around the clock as I often have doctors appointments I need to attend, so I may have to come and go, but I would not be gone for longer than 3-4 hours at any given time, so if your fur baby can be alone for 3-4 hours, then I can accommodate for that 😊 I make sure to closely follow any given instructions for pet care, including instructions for a special diet or medications, and if the pet needs any special needs care or aid with grooming! I like to go over the details with clients of how their pet may like to play, how they get along with other animals/people, how they like to be pet, how they do on walks, what their favorite snacks are, and of course any special needs such as oral medications, special dietary needs, etc… to make sure that I am offering the highest quality of care and comfortability for their fur baby! I also make sure to pay close attention to timing between meals, snacks and potty breaks so their pets don’t become uncomfortable or have any accidents. Lastly, I make sure to give lots of love and attention to their pet so they don’t feel lonely!

About: I grew up around pets since before I can remember and I love hanging out with any animals! I love playing and cuddling with them! I am currently a third year at OSU home for the summer. I also work at 17 Public Square. I am open almost everyday all day besides when those shifts are scheduled. I have two medium size dogs that I play with often and are crate trained as well. Therefore I can play with them, give them breaks in their crates or anything else!
