“Ceinwein did a great job and was available with short notice. Very reliable and experienced with dealing with an elderly dog and giving medication. Will definitely use her services again!”

“Suzanne looked in on our senior dog during our wedding day. A huge load off our minds because she always takes such good care of him. We highly recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter!”
“Rebecca was really great! Communicative and detail oriented. Even my more nervous cat, who has trouble warming up to people at first, loved her right away. I felt good about knowing my fur children were well taken care of while I was away.”

About: My name is Angie. I currently work in the veterinary field with cats and dogs. I have worked in the large animal field as well in the past for farm animals. I have 3 dogs at home but have had cats, bearded dragons, fish, birds and even an african tortoise. I would love to meet some new furry (or even not so furry) friends. I would treat them like they are my own pets. I have a compassion for all living things and it's a passion I would like to pursue now that my children are older and I have some more free time. I do work at a vet hospital 4-5 days a week but other than work, I am available to pet sit in your home or just pop in for walks, feeding and cuddle time if that is all that is required for your pet. I have 3 large dogs at home who are my world. They are trained to stay in our yard or be on a lead outside. They all are on allergy specific diets and medications so I am no stranger to medical issues in dogs. I have also fostered everything from extra small puppies/dogs to extra large dogs.
“Lauren did an amazing job watching our two dogs, including our senior dog who needs a gentler approach. She was reliable, attentive, and kept us updated the entire time, which gave us total peace of mind. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals. We’re extremely happy with her service and would absolutely trust her with our pups again! We highly recommend Lauren!”

About: I have spent my entire life growing up with numerous and varied pets, which has given me experience with different animals and their needs. I would love to care for your pet—any breed, size, or personality! My schedule is very flexible, and I would love to discuss scheduling a time that works for you! Please reach out, so we can discuss your needs. I will clarify with you if there are any specific needs or routines that would be followed for your pet. Typically, I would enter and greet your pet (whether with pets or from afar), feed them per instructions, and give them fresh water. For dogs, we will head outside for a walk or exercise in the backyard, and for cats, I would clean their litter box and then play or relax with them. Whether it is a drop-in, overnight stay, or walk, I will make sure your doors and gates are locked!
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for a total of 5 years. I volunteered at an animal shelter to take care of cats, and worked for a few months taking care of dogs. I have also dog sat for friends when they went away and didn't have any issues. I have 2 dogs, one I got in January 2022 (chapo) and the other (pablo) in March 2022. Mr. Chapo was a rescue from the spca and we have had Mr. Pablo since he was 3 months old. Chapo is an American staffordshire and is 7.5 years old and pablo is 3.5 years old. I want everyone to be aware that I work full time and can be available in the mornings Sunday-Wednesday’s. I am free all day every other Wednesday. I am available all day Thursday-Saturday. I am more than happy to dog sit overnight/in the morning before i go to work. I will work with you so we can make sure your little one (or big one) is cared for! I am available on most weekends. Holidays may differ depending on my schedule. I let Chapo out when I get home and let him roam around outside because he just sleeps most of the day. When I am not home he is inside. Pablo is in his crate when I am at work. He likes going outside but not a huge fan. I will care for your pet however you would like since its your fur baby!

About: 4 years of experience + 2 happy pups of my own! 🐾 I’ve cared for dogs of friends and family and love making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well taken care of. I’m currently going to school and working when I can. I am available anytime after 1pm Mon-We’d And available all day on the weekends. I am flexible as my schedule during the week changes. I treat every pet like they’re my own. In my home, they’ll get lots of attention, playtime, and a cozy, safe space to relax. I have half an acre for pups to run around as well as a walking path across the street. I also have the best yellow lab girl. In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s usual routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. Whether it’s walks, feeding, or just spending time with them, I make sure they feel loved and cared for.
“Kaylyn was very communicative leading up to her visit with our dog and she provided a detailed summary of their visit. We were glad we could count on her to help us with our senior pup! She sent photos and made sure we knew he was well taken care of. We’d recommend Kaylyn to others!”
“Juliette did a fabulous job caring for our 2 cats. She is very calm, friendly, and professional. Her expertise in caring for cats, especially diabetic cats and cats w medical needs, was so helpful. Our boys Peanut and Milo loved having Juliette take care of them. I would highly recommend Juliette!”

“Guinevere was fantastic! Great communication, with pictures of my boy playing and being cuddled just like I'd have done. I was worried because I had never left my cat before. Guinevere made sure that she took care of him just as I would and when I got home, my cat was a happy boy! If you're looking for a pet sitter who cares for your fur babies just as you would, Guinevere is the one!”

About: As a lifelong dog lover and owner of three dogs, I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs. I stay active, enjoy long walks, and love spending time outdoors playing fetch and keeping dogs engaged. What sets me apart is the genuine care and patience I bring to every visit. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own, making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection! My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, just as I would my own dogs.
“Alex is AMAZING with my dogs. I believe that the dogs are loving her more than me!! LOL.. She goes above and beyond with my dogs and I couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter!!”

“I am so very appreciative of Tricia! I love my doggos with my whole heart, and I wouldn't trust them with just anyone. I knew right away, and my dogs knew right away, Tricia was one of the good ones. Thank you so much for taking care of my babies!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Richlandtown
We used to board our pets and never felt good about it, always worried about them while away. We decided to use Rover and contacted Don N. to be our sitter. Don visited us and familiarized us with Rover and meet our pups. We found Don to be exactly what we were looking for to sit our dogs. We did not worry once while away as we got updates and pictures every time he visited. Really put our minds at ease to know our dogs were safe and home. Highly recommend Rover.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
