“Once again Sara did an AMAZING job watching my little old baby Bones. Not only did she take him on super short notice, but she had him all during the holiday season with a pick up on Christmas Eve. My dog is old and anxious but Sara worked her magic (as always) and he was happy and content during his stay. She sent me regular messages and photos and I never worried even for a second knowing she had it handled. Her background as a Vet Tech really comes in handy with my babies as they have either been old or sick and she just takes the very best care of them. I swear that I would not go on vacation if Sara wasn't available to babysit for me. She is the absolute best and I would recommend her 100%!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Victoria did a great job of putting us at ease. She sent updates/pictures of how he was doing and was quick to respond to any requests. We would definitely use her again if needed!”

“Aaron provided amazing service exceeding all my expectations! His communication was excellent sending updates everyday even multiple times a day. He offered FaceTime calls with my furry friend and treated him just like family! I will definitely rebook and I advise anyone else to do the same!”

“Five stars is not enough! Breanna treated our girls like they were family. They had such a great time and we miss our girls whenever we travel so the updates and pictures she sent us meant a lot! We will definitely have our girls stay with Breanna and her family again.”

About: I have watched dogs both young and old. They are truly beautiful animals, and I love being around them. I know how to communicate with them and make them feel comfortable and loved:) Pet care fits very well into my daily routine. I work approximately 10 hours a week, so I have plenty of time to care for animals and love on them. My life is pretty simple and uncluttered so being able to care for your animal would be a perfect fit for both me and your pet. I live in the country on 2.5 acres. My 2,300 square foot house is open concept and there is plenty of room for pets to roam. There are many large windows to look out and watch the wildlife. I love to take walks and there is next to no traffic in my area. My spare room has a large tree house for cats to enjoy.

“Cora and Jim had a blast at Destinee’s! They played and played and what was especially awesome is Cora can be aggressive with other dogs but she wasn’t at their house at all and got to enjoy herself! I’m so grateful! We didn’t worry about them at all and received regular pictures and feedback about how they were doing! Thank you!!”

“Thank you Sarah! You did a great job with Bear and made him feel at home. It was nice knowing Bear was in a good home and well taken care of while I was on vacation. Thanks again for doing an amazing job”

“Savanna did an amazing job taking care of our kitten! She was very accommodating to his needs and ours--meeting us first and discussing all the details, feeding him as often as he needed at his age. We got pictures and videos of him while we were on our trip. He was in great hands!”

“Lori kept Finn while we were on vacation for almost a week. I wasn’t sure how he would do but she was amazing with him and she sent me pictures of him throughout the duration of his stay. Finn didn’t want to leave without Cooper , Lori’s dog because they had become such good friends. Finn absolutely loved his stay and I’d recommend Lori to anyone.”

“Can't recommend enough! My dog is a senior dog that needs some special medication and attention and Bowen has been so kind and sweet towards him and tend to his needs. ❤️”

“Jessica and David took great care of Mocha. They communicated well, sent us lovely photos of our pooch during her stay, and treated her to a walk, car ride and pup cup. They are true dog people! Absolutely would book them again.”

“Claudia was great!! She took wonderful care of my kitty and sent lots of photos and updates. I will definitely ask her to board my cat again!! My cat seemed very happy and I was too!”

“Julie was wonderful! She was so good with our mini goldendoodle Molly. We got frequent updates and photos to show us that all was going well. It helped us to have a fun and relaxing trip to know that Molly was being taken care of so well by her. Her home and fenced yard are very nice, and she followed our directions well about Molly's care. She is very pleasant. We will contact her again for dogsitting. A+ job! Thanks, Julie!”

“I do not have enough wonderful things to say about Tilmer and his family! He had fantastic communication, and photos everyday with an update! I felt like my pup truly fit into their family and was so well loved over her week stay! Next time I go out of town I won’t have to even think about where my fur baby will stay, Tilmer!!”

“We had a last minute need for our dog, Jordy, over Easter weekend and Debby was a lifesaver! I received many pictures and updates over the course of the 2 days Jordy was with her and her family. When Jordy was nervous and wasn't eating normally Debby and her family were hand feeding her to help her feel more at ease. Debby and her family cuddled and loved on Jordy as if she was their own. I felt extremely confident with Debby's care, communication and warm-hearted nurturing and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“Jurnee A FIVE STAR Rover Dog Sitter. Highly recommend. Our first stay over for our Toby since we just moved to Whitestown IN. A very nice and kind sitter. Our Toby loved playing with her dog-friendly puppies. Blessings Steve & Debi”

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
97% of sitters in Reno can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Reno home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Reno.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Reno. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
You and your Reno sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
