About: I've always had dogs as part of my life. I love and identify with animals. I was a dog groomer for several years at a local pet salon. Total care and understanding of the needs of a dog is second nature to me. Providing a safe and fulfilling environment for a dog is my number one goal and focus. We're not just simply boarding we're 24/7 care and companionship for our guests we provide constant attention and affection as well we don't just house/shelter animals we provide for them a loving and caring environment I'm available full time to care for and interact with your pets. I'm not going to put them out of sight and out of mind, I'll be with them and attentive to their needs the entire time they are with me. My goal is for your pets to be safe and happy. I have a safe and secure yard, with security cameras installed, no neighboring animals to distract them or disturb them. If weather is not favorable they are more than welcome to be inside my safe secure house.
“Jonathan was great with our little guy! He sent lots of pictures and kept us updated throughout his daycare stay. He got lots of play time and a walk! Would book again if we’re ever in the area again!”

“My furr kids had a great time at daycare. My Sadie (1 if the 5) is normally and reserved and will not take to others right away. Well she proceeded to prove me wrong and started playing right away and having a blast!! This by far has been the best daycare experience for all my furr kids.”

“Celeste took good care of my puppy and was very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the booking. Everything went smoothly, and I appreciate her flexibility in pickup times.”

“Maci was great! Took really great care of my Trunks. She was so sweet even with I had to change his pick up time. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely want her to watch him again.”

“David & Etiene were amazing we were traveling across the country and wanted to take a break from traveling and catch a rangers game our dogs needed a break from traveling too and we got them back the next day refreshed and ready to continue our journey”

“This was my first time leaving my puppy with a sitter. Mijo had a great time. I appreciate the photos and videos that were sent showing how well he was being taking care of. Mijo enjoyed running around in the spacious backyard with the other pups. Marc was very nice and very accommodating. I appreciate him taking such good care of Mijo. I would definitely use him again. Thanks Marc.”

“Evangelina booked our dog with short notice which was greatly appreciated. She has a dog friendly environment and our dog seemed very excited to be there. We would definitely rebook with her again.”

“Carolyn was wonderful and had excellent communication. She also took beautiful pictures of my boy!! He can be nervous around new people, but he was instantly comfortable with Carolyn!”

“Thank you Alan & Reagan for all that you do for us and Milo. I am so overjoyed in knowing that Milo is in the best hands, has the most fun & that he is safe. Alan & Reagan are such great sitters, the best in the game!”

About: I have many years of experience as a dog walker and sitter. I have two dogs: a chihuahua named Minnie, and a corgi mix named Stubbs. They’re both very friendly and well trained. I’m a huge dog lover- every time I see one in public I have to pet them. I grew up with dogs and I’ve never not had one. My dogs are part of the family, and they’re very spoiled. I have a house with a big .25 acre fenced in backyard with plenty of shade and a dog door which can be closed. I have several tennis balls and other toys, and I love to go for dog walks around the neighborhood & to the dog park. Your fur babies will get plenty of love, attention and cuddles with me! I work from home, so I’m fully dedicated to taking care of your pups! I will make sure they are treated just like my own, and get plenty of walks and playtime. I offer free pickup & drop off as well! I have a large .25 acre fenced yard that is perfect for playing fetch, and two friendly dogs for your pups to play & cuddle with! I always have lots of toys around, and dogs are always welcome on the couch & bed.

“Lucyna was amazing with our Elmo! She took him on walks, played with him, and made sure he was well cared for the whole time. Elmo came home happy and tired, which tells me he had a great time. I felt very comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. I would definitely book with Lucyna again and highly recommend her!”

“Sarah was very sweet! I was super nervous as I had never left Oakley with a sitter before, but Sarah was very accommodating and assuring. She sent daily pictures and was happy to have Oakley stay!”

“I was in town for the week due to work and needed someone to watch my dogs. So glad I found Aldrin and Teresa! They took such great care of my dogs! I got updates every couple of hours with how they were doing and when they were fed. They have 2 dogs of their own, so my pups had so much fun playing around all day with their new friends. By the time I picked up my dogs, they were exhausted from playing all day and had such a good sleep that night. If you’re in the DFW area and need a sitter, I highly recommend Aldrin and Teresa!”

“Rooster had a great stay with Zachary! We got lots of photos and updates throughout the day and Rooster came home happy and tired. We will definitely be using him in the future.”

“We used Ernest for Doggy Day Care. Ernest is very professional. More importantly, he is very affectionate towards dogs and very easy to work with. It was a very pleasant experience.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
