About: People often say I have a way with animals. They always seem drawn to me immediately, even when they are wary of others. I feel honored that animals feel this way about me because I feel the same about them! I have cared for many dogs of all sizes as well as owned cats. I have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand that has many disabled dogs as well as fostered cats/kittens here at home. I am an empty nester and would love to care for your four legged family members while you are away. Although I will never replace you, I can provide love and safety until you return (and probably some treats and adventures too!) I'm currently not working and can dedicate my time to pet/house sitting and care. As you can see from my photo gallery, I love all animals and have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand, fostered kittens at home, and have seen very cool animals in the wild and at animal rescues/sanctuaries around the world. (I always vet them to make sure they are ethical and doing legit work) I have a large fenced yard and indoor space for cats or dogs. We have plenty of shade and are also willing to take pets with us on outings. I live with my husband and son and they also love and respect animals. As far as caring for pets at someone else's home, I can stay at your house or check in as often as needed. I will play with them, feed them, bathe them, take them places (if requested) and give them love. I know they miss their people and its not the same without you, but I do my best to make them feel safe and comfortable.

About: I love animals! I have been around them forever, and in school studying to become a Veterinary Technician :) I am always open for play dates! I work Monday-Friday at Sammie’s Friends, but am available after 5pm for short dog/cat sitting. I am available weekends so any trips you want to take I’ve got you and your furry companion covered. I am very attentive and will make sure your pet is cared for and safe. Whether they are high energy and need more play time, or animals who just need some extra TLC.

About: I got my first dog when I was six, and growing up he was my best friend. I also had lizards, birds, fish, frogs, hamsters, and cats! Ever since then, I have always been passionate about helping dogs and other animals. I've taken care of many dogs and cats over the years of all sizes and ages, and now I want to make this passion my work. My favorite part about taking care of dogs is walking them. I have a Border Collie and know how to handle hyper and active dogs. For example, during an appointment, I will often greet pets with their favorite treat, check if they need water, take care of any potty or medical needs, and stimulate them with their favorite activity! Before leaving, I make sure I have performed all required tasks requested by the client.

About: I have owned and cared for pets my entire life. I'm recently retired from a long career as a professional equestrian and horse trainer, and I'm excited to begin this journey of offering pet care services to the community! I have experience with all types and ages of pets ... from very young to very senior. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, and basic first aid. My lifestyle is active, and I'm happy to provide whatever exercise that your pet needs, whether that is a long trail hike, or simply walks around the neighborhood. And lots of love and snuggles of course :) I also have extensive horse experience, and limited experience with other livestock, and I'm happy to provide services for those animals as well. I currently work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work around whatever your pet care needs are. I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I can get to some of the further out Nevada County destinations no problem. I pride myself on being punctual, organized and reliable, and you can rest assured that your pet(s) and home will receive attentive and loving care. I am happy to take care of any additional tasks that you might need around your home while you're away (checking mail, taking out trash, watering plants/garden, etc. )

“Aspen was amazing and I will absolutely use her for all of my future housesitting/pet care needs! She was extremely good at communicating with me. Two of my dogs had health issues while I was away and Aspen went above and beyond to take care of them and to keep me informed. We have three dogs, two of whom needed medication while we were gone, so this is not the easiest dog-sitting gig. Aspen handled everything beautifully, walking all three dogs regularly, and even giving me some training trips to use when I got home. Aspen took great care of our house and was flexible with having my housekeeper there and a contractor working during her stay. She even changed our sheets before we came back, which was much appreciated. I really can't say enough good things about Aspen. She is excellent and I wholeheartedly recommend her.”

About: Offering a safe home away from home, compassionate care, and peace of mind for pet owners is something that all pet sitters should be offering. I go far beyond this standard providing both care and training. Since I was a child, dogs and cats have gravitated toward me and I've always enjoyed their companionship; you can almost always find me with at least one dogs around. It's never been an unruly mass of teeth and paws though; I've always taken the time to teach my furry friends to walk on leash, to have immediate recall, to be polite in kitchen, and to use their voices kindly. I do the same with every animal that I am given care of, gently coaching them to be civil, furry companions while showering them with love. I am currently working from home and set my own schedule. I have a set daily morning and evening walk which your pup(s) will join. During the day, you pup(s) will have company of two dogs, three cats and plenty of pets from me. On weekends we go on adventure hikes. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company during the day. I have crates, leashes, grooming tools and home made dog beds for all pet care needs.
