Mikayla did a fantastic job taking care of our dog for 3 weeks while we visited the area. She walked & played with him and made him feel very comfortable during his time away from home. My husband and I highly recommend Mikayla!

I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I’m great with walks, feeding schedules, playtime, medication routines, and keeping owners updated with photos and messages throughout the day. Whether your dog loves long walks, cuddles on the couch, or extra patience and calm attention, I adjust to their needs. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented. Your pet’s safety and happiness always come first, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in good hands. I’d love to meet you and your furry family member! I’m currently working full time from home, but my hours are super flexible. I’m able to take many breaks. I have responsible transportation. I will follow all instructions as given. I am a very responsible pet owner and would treat your fur baby as I treat my own.

About: I’ve been trusted to take care of others dogs and cats since I was 14 (walk, feed, bathe). I am open to any breed. I also work with both dogs and cats. I also have some experience with reptiles, as I have a bearded dragon of my own. I started Rover because I have 5 fur babies myself and I understand it can be stressful to leave your babies in the care of someone else, but I hope to make that worry free for you. I will love and care for your fur babies as if they were my own. I currently have a very flexible schedule so have plenty of time to play with your pups and kitties! I am pretty much available anytime! I am very attentive to my animals diets and needs so I will be just the same for your fur babies. I have experience with animals ages ranging from 9 weeks old to 15 years old. I have a lot of time to give to your babies and would love to care and play with them!

About: I've been caring for dogs for many years, both through pet ownership and helping family and friends with their pets. Over the years I've owned a Golden Retriever and currently have a high-energy Border Collie, giving me plenty of experience with active dogs that need regular exercise, play, and attention. I've also cared for multiple Golden Retrievers, a Mini Australian Shepherd, and a Lab mix. My experience includes dogs of all ages, from raising puppies to caring for senior dogs, and I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs. During the summer, I have a flexible schedule due to being off from my full-time job, which allows me to accommodate a variety of walking and drop-in visit times. I'm happy to work with your dog's routine and can often provide weekday and daytime availability. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. As a longtime dog owner and caregiver, I understand the importance of patience, attentiveness, and building trust with every dog. I've cared for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs, and I always tailor my approach to each dog's personality and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, fetch, or a slower-paced outing, they'll receive plenty of care, supervision, and affection while they're with me.

About: With over 40 years of experience with dogs, I bring a lifetime of care and compassion to every pet I meet. Having owned a reactive dog, I understand the importance of patience and individualized care for all pets. In my free time, I volunteer with two animal organizations. Beyond dogs, I have experience working with reptiles and farm animals, making me a versatile and knowledgeable caregiver for a variety of pets. I work full time but would be thrilled to take care of your pet on my days off. I have a dog who isn't too fond of other animals, so I'm available for drop-ins or walks only. With enough notice, I can often work my schedule to fit yours. Feel free to contact me to see if I'm available. I strive to provide your pet with the same comfort they feel when you're at home. By meeting your pets before the visits, I can get to know them better and make sure they feel at ease with me.

About: I have been taking care of cats and dogs since about the age of 12. Growing up I would help look after my family, friends and neighbors animals when needed. I would help watch over the pets, feed them, take them on walks, and play with them for as long as needed! I am currently unemployed so I am available at any time of the day any day! I travel occasionally but that will always be communicated. The dog will always be my first priority! When taking dogs on walks I will make sure to always be aware of my surroundings. I will also make sure to not approach other animals to ensure the safety of both pets!

About: As a college soccer player, I’m active, dependable, and used to staying on a schedule. I’ve cared for both dogs and cats with different personalities and needs, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m attentive, patient, and will treat every pet like my own while making sure they feel safe and comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I’m already active, organized, and used to balancing responsibilities as a college athlete. I’m also working a part-time job, but still have plenty of time to spend with cats and dogs throughout the week. I enjoy walks, playtime, feeding, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I make sure pets stay comfortable by keeping them on their normal routine with feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I’m respectful of clients’ homes, keep everything clean, and make sure pets feel safe and cared for while their owners are away.

About: I understand, as a pet owner myself, that finding someone you trust to care for your furry family members isn't easy. Well, look no further because I'm your girl. I am the sole owner/operator of My Kids Have Paws Pet Sitting, and I have relocated to Conway, SC. I've built a successful clientele base in Colleton County over the last several years, and I'm excited to bring my experience, passion, and love for all animals to Horry County this October 2024. I have a special place in my heart for furry, four-legged kids. I've opened my heart and home to many dogs & cats through the years, and I'd love to share that love with your precious family members. Animals are where my heart is, and I love spending my day engulfed in the unbridled enthusiasm and love that these wonderful creatures provide. I've also really enjoyed volunteering at animal shelters, and I wish that I could rescue them all. That's just one reason you can trust me to care for your pet as if they were my own. I've made caring for your furry kids my full-time DREAM job. My services include a drop-in visit while you're away or overnight care in your home. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and reptiles, and my specialty is small farms including chickens/birds, horses, pigs, goats and cows. You can feel confident knowing your babies are in great hands with me. After all, my kids have paws. Love, Heather Adair I have been pet sitting full-time since 2017 and my goal is to keep your fur babies in their usual happy & comfortable in their routine. I love what I do and again, I'm stepping in to mimick your pet's routine and give them lots of love and attention while you're away.

About: Updated: 09/04/2025 I’ve always owned multiple pets and have taken care of neighbor’s pets since I was 11. I’ve been working on and off through rover for about 8 years now but have much more experience pet sitting aside from rover (if you’re wondering why there are only a few recorded sits on my profile). If your animal needs special care such as medication, diaper/pad changing, extra exercise, etc, it’s no hassle at all on my end and I’m experienced with all of these and more! I’m comfortable sitting any animal and I’m comfortable with pet/house sitting that requires me to stay over at the house or visit the house. I completely understand any requirements that ensure the pet’s comfort or your peace of mind :) Feel free to ask me any questions! I care for pets in my own home which gives me more insight to both caring for the pet and understanding the perspective of an owner. This also unfortunately means I can’t board pets at my own house. I live in a house with a dog and a cat and I prioritize their comfort so I don’t want to board other pets in my home with them.

About: I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to trust someone else to care for your beloved furry family members! I come here with the assurance that I will treat your pet as I would my own: spoiled with love!! I've had dogs and cats and a variety of other critters my entire life, so I have the experience. I hope to have the privilege of taking care of your fur babies! I work full time currently, but I would like to build a pet care clientele enough to be able to do this full time instead! I am very protective of my own dogs, so I understand the importance of their safety. I will do everything in my power to keep your babies safe as I would with my own.

About: Animals have always been a meaningful part of my life. Caring for my three senior dogs has given me experience with the patience, compassion, and attentiveness older pets need, and my family’s strong belief in adoption, especially senior dog adoption, has shaped my passion for animal care. I have also spent years volunteering at animal shelters, which has strengthened my love for helping animals feel safe and cared for. I provide reliable dog and house sitting services with experience in overnight care and following individualized feeding, medication, walking, and daily care schedules for pets of all ages and needs. My goal is to give families peace of mind through kindness, empathy, and dependable care! I’m looking to work part/full time, especially through the summer months, where I can be a reliable sitter for either pets or a household! I’m available every weekday and can work on weekends depending upon requests, and will always be transparent regarding my availability. I currently own 3 senior dogs and 1 cat, and take care of them alongside my family every day! I care for every animal in a client’s home with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own pets. I pride myself on being timely, reliable, and dependable while ensuring each pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in their environment. Whether it’s following detailed schedules, providing overnight care, administering extra attention to senior pets, or adapting to specific needs, I approach every family and animal with compassion, respect, and genuine dedication!

About: I am a certified, licensed, and insured dog trainer and the owner of Chaos To Clarity K9. I work with dogs and their families on obedience, leash skills, everyday manners, and behavior challenges. Many of the dogs I help are everyday family dogs who need guidance with things like pulling on leash, barking, jumping, reactivity, or learning how to settle in the home. I also enjoy working with puppies and helping owners build strong foundations early through clear communication and consistency. I have a strong interest in behavior modification, especially helping dogs work through fear, stress, and reactivity at a pace that keeps them comfortable and learning. My husband is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and a combat veteran and former military police K9 handler who trained civilian police dogs. Because of his veterinary background, I’m also able to consult with him when behavior questions may have a possible medical component, which can sometimes play a role in behavior. I also understand that dogs live in real families with real challenges. I live with multiple sclerosis and am raising an autistic four-year-old, so I appreciate how important it is for training to be practical, realistic, and supportive of the household environment. My goal is always to help create calmer, safer, and more enjoyable relationships between dogs and the people who love them. One thing that’s very important to me is paying attention to canine body language and stress signals. Dogs communicate constantly through subtle changes in posture, facial expression, and movement, and recognizing those signals early can prevent many behavior problems from escalating. During training, I help owners learn how to recognize what their dog is communicating so they can respond in a way that builds trust, confidence, and better behavior over time. Dog training is part of my regular weekly routine, and I intentionally keep my schedule structured so each client receives focused attention. My current training availability is: • Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM • Wednesday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM • Thursday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM • Sunday: Afternoon appointments available by request Closed: Monday and Friday Because each dog and family has unique needs, I limit the number of training sessions I take each week so I can provide thoughtful, individualized guidance and follow-up support between sessions. Safety, trust, and clear communication are always my top priorities when working with dogs and their families. I pay close attention to canine body language and stress signals to make sure dogs remain comfortable and able to learn during training. Training sessions focus on creating a calm, structured environment where both the dog and owner can succeed. I work at the dog’s pace and help owners understand what their dog is communicating so they can respond clearly and confidently. My goal is to create training plans that are safe, practical, and sustainable for everyday life, helping dogs feel more secure while helping owners feel supported throughout the process.

FAQs for Dog Walking - Reeves

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 554 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Reeves. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Reeves. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Reeves.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Reeves. On Rover:

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
