Janie took such great care of our pup while we were in town. She sent picture updates throughout the day to make sure we knew that Ziggy was in good hands. She even provided a report card and treats when we picked him up! I highly recommend Janie!

Last minute I discovered I was going to be needed at my sister's knee surgery. I was rather nervous about having in home house-sitting. The past 22 years I had my neighbor across the street who knew my animals well. Taking care of my animals was going to be a big job with two pets with medication needs and Trevor who is temporarily living with us. He's not always at his best with new people. Yikes! But I needn't have worried. AnnMarie's husband Greg went above and beyond. He was there 3x a day for Stevie's medication and potty time. As hard as it was to get Ozzy, my cat, to come out of hiding; he did manage to have some success. I appreciated the pictures of them during the day. The whole experience was pretty wonderful and gave me one less thing to think and worry about. Next time I need to be gone for an extended time, I'll be contacting them again. Thank you AnnMarie and Greg.

About: Besides training and owning many dogs since I was a child , have put myself back through college 3 years ago and got my degrees in Canine Behavior, Canine Calming Signals, Canine Body Posture , Canine Basic Training and Canine First Aid and now starting on my Service Dog Training degree. Ive always had a heart for dogs of every breed and am working on working with them for the rest of my life to help them with their humans , and helping their humans understand their dogs. As much as I would love to take care of dogs all day, for the time being my financial structure is working full time at Pointe Royale Golf and Condo which I need to do to fulfill my dog training career. The weekend is all I can do for now. It would consist of alot of fun time with some basic training as well. It would have to be in your home because my landlord doesn't allow pets. It makes more sense to me anyway to keep the dog in their own environment for stress reasons.

Jodi was amazing with Louie and Maggie. She paid close attention to every detail, especially Louie's medications, which gave us so much peace of mind. Louie is a senior dog, and Jodi watched over him with extra care, patience, and kindness. It was clear she truly understood his needs. Both dogs were happy and well cared for, and we felt completely confident leaving them in her hands. We would absolutely book Jodi again and highly recommend her to anyone—especially if you have a senior pet. 🐾💛

About: I live in an apartment in Branson close to the entertainment district. I have housesat many times around the USA and abroad completing a long-term position on a ranch in Yosemite, California for a year and a half, a few months in Greece with a parrot, dogs & cats, and this past year, in Vermont, Maine, North Carolina, Missouri with two horses, and Arkansas with a parrot. I currently have an open schedule, so I can be at home with your pet all day/night and be flexible with your schedule. I have no vehicle at the moment, so arranging transportation is needed for housesits and drop-ins. I am a lifeguard at The Branson Water Park, First Aid/CPR. I spend a lot of time getting to know the pets and give my attention equally if there are several pets. Taking walks, patting them, playing, and feeding them, calming them down if they are anxious without their owner.

Samantha was truly exceptional and went above and beyond in every possible way. From the very beginning, her communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring, which immediately put us at ease. While we were away, she treated our home and pets as if they were her own, showing an incredible level of care, responsibility, and attention to detail. She kept us regularly updated with thoughtful messages and photos, handled everything seamlessly, and even took care of extra things we didn’t expect or ask for. It was clear that she genuinely cares and takes pride in what she does. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a spotless house—honestly better than we left it. If you’re looking for someone you can completely trust, Samantha is it. We couldn’t have asked for a better house sitter and will absolutely be booking her again. Highly, highly recommend!

About: What sets me apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience and genuine love for animals. I am a retired Quarter Horse and dog rancher with over 54 years of experience caring for animals of all kinds. Throughout my life, animals have never just been a job—they’ve been my passion, my pride, and my joy. I service BRANSON MO, TABLE ROCK AREA, I am Close to INDIAN POINT, SILVER DOLLAR CITY, AND THE CHATEAU OF THE LAKES HOTEL & RESORTS, 15 MINUTES TO THE ENTERTAINMENT. I live in a private gated and safe community. In addition to running a ranch, I’ve worked as a veterinary assistant, which gives me a deeper understanding of animal health, behavior, and safety. I’m comfortable recognizing signs of stress or illness and responding appropriately. I treat every animal in my care like family. Whether it’s a quick visit or an extended stay, your pets will be cared for with the same attention, patience, and love I’ve given my own animals for decades. Their comfort, safety, and happiness always come first. With my background, you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are in experienced, capable, and truly caring hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work during the day, but I dedicate my evenings and weekends to pet sitting, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, consistency, and care during those times. My schedule works especially well for pet owners who need reliable evening check-ins, overnight care, or weekend coverage. I make sure each visit is unhurried so your pets receive the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, so even with my daytime responsibilities, I prioritize making time to ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I care for pets in their home by keeping their routine consistent and their environment calm and safe. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, medications, and daily habits. With my background as a rancher and former veterinary assistant, I pay close attention to behavior and safety. I also treat every home with respect—keeping it clean, secure, and just as I found it. I provide updates so owners feel at ease, and I treat every pet like my own—with patience, care, and love.

About: I've taken care of several dogs and cats for friends and neighbors, whether that's just checking in or staying overnight. I am avaliable to accompany the pets for extended hours or days. Pet sitting is my full time job, so I am usually available whenever! I'm able to either stay with the pets or check on them periodically. About: I’ve been dog sitting for four years now watching my sister‘s dogs and my neighbors dogs and my dad‘s friends dogs for a long time now and I’ve grown to love it so I thought it would be nice to be able to help other people as well!! I’ve been babysitting for the last two years for two year-old. I started babysitting her when she was two months old, but I only babysit her 1 to 2 days a week so I’m free quite a lot. I have a big fenced in backyard and a lot of free space in my house. I live on a farm, so I’m pretty educated when it comes to animals and I worked at a vet clinic for two years!!

Rachael was incredibly friendly, kept us updated with pictures, and gave Maggie plenty of love and attention while we were away. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our fur baby was in great hands. We would absolutely recommend Rachael and will definitely use her again!

Jonna not only took great care of my dog (and foster dog), but she was communicative with me all the time. If you’re a dog mom, you get this. I want pictures… I want how well they ate, I want how they slept, all of it. She did all of those things which helps me enjoy my trips away even more. My Foster dog is very afraid of new people and she did all the things needed to help her feel as comfortable as she possibly could… Considering. She is the best!

About: We love dogs! We are called first when any of our friends go out of town. We have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages from older doxies to young mutts and we love large rotties too. We are also okay with special needs dogs and we make sure your dog gets their medications when scheduled. Our lab loves to make new friends with dogs of all sizes. We have a nice privacy fenced in back yard with a kiddie pool to help the dogs keep cool during the summer even though they will spend most of the time inside. Please know that if your pup stays with us he or she will be treated like a part of the family. We love dogs! I help my Dad on his farm only when I'm not scheduled to care for a pup I'm hosting. I'm free to stay at home all day with your pet. I always keep an eye on what's going on. I'm usually outside if our pups are. If I'm watching a pet at your home, I don't make messes.

Stephanie is the best pet sitter we've ever had! She went above and beyond when one of our dogs had a medical situation and likely saved his life. Calm, pleasant, super responsive to calls and texts both! The house was immaculate and our other pups and kitties super calm and happy. Really caring! We can't thank her enough, and will surely invite her back. Fenway, Scooter and Sally say "4 paws up!"

FAQs for House Sitting - Reeds Spring

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 260 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Reeds Spring. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Reeds Spring walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Reeds Spring maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Reeds Spring choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Reeds Spring. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
