“Jessica took care of my dog Iommi for a long weekend while I traveled out of state for my brother's wedding. It was my first time leaving Iommi and Jessica was the perfect person to leave her with. She took care of Iommi like she was her own and I know Iommi had a great time staying with Jessica and her family and playing with her dog Rip. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for care for their pet! I will definitely be booking with Jessica again!”

About: I grew up with dogs and now have 2 cats and 1 dog of my own. Our cats are both American Shorthair and our dog is a golden retriever! I’m currently a stay at home mom and we love watching some furry friends during our days! We can let them out multiple times, go on walks, and play. Our big fenced in backyard makes for a fun time! I have two very friendly cats who warm up quickly to other animals or hide until they feel comfortable! We also have a golden retriever who loves other animals and loves to play! I live in house with a fenced in backyard!
“Shawna and her family were amazing! She communicated effectively, asked good questions and loved on our pup. I think he enjoyed it more at their house than he does at home. Great experience and can’t wait for our pup to visit again.”

Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
