“We had such a fantastic experience with Linda as our dog sitter! She truly went above and beyond while caring for our dog, Kia. One of the most fun and memorable parts was that this is Kia’s third “French lesson” with Linda, she even gets to sit in on her classes! At this point, we’re convinced Kia is well on her way to being bilingual. It’s such a unique and thoughtful touch, and we love knowing Kia is getting extra attention and enrichment. Linda also sent tons of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We could clearly see that Kia was happy, relaxed, and having a great time. To top it all off, we came home to a perfectly clean house, everything was spotless and just as we left it. Linda is reliable, attentive, and clearly loves what she does. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing sitter (and maybe a French tutor for their dog too!). Jade and Kia”

“Highly recommend Christina for in-home pet sitting! She stayed for over a week and our two dogs and cat seemed very content and well-cared for and our home was in perfect condition upon our return. Her communication is great, stopped by twice prior for meet and greets since this was our first time having her stay. We received multiple pictures each day which was an added bonus. Both of our dogs take medication and she was comfortable handling that and even offered to help with fish, plants, trash, and mail if needed. 😁 Overall very happy with our experience and appreciative of the excellent care we received.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every pet. I treat each animal like they’re my own, paying close attention to their routine, personality, and comfort. I provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing, and I make sure they feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including puppies who need patience and consistency, as well as senior pets who may require extra care, slower walks, or medication support. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and I truly care about making both pets and owners feel at ease. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I make it a priority to be reliable and consistent for every booking. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate morning, midday, and evening visits, depending on your pet’s needs. I plan my day around the pets I’m caring for, making sure they get the attention, feeding, and interaction they’re used to. Whether it’s quick drop-ins or longer visits, I’m committed to being on time and keeping their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets in your home. I take the time to follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, litter box care, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I pay close attention to their behavior and environment to make sure they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’m respectful of your home and keep everything clean and tidy, including maintaining litter boxes and feeding areas. I always make sure doors, windows, and entry points are secure, and I’m mindful about preventing escapes—especially with indoor cats. I also provide regular updates with messages and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. My goal is to create a calm, safe environment where your pet feels at ease and you have complete peace of mind.

About: I’ve been trusted with homes and pets since 2008, when house sitting first came into my life organically through friends and people I knew who traveled. They needed someone dependable to stay in their homes, care for their pets, and keep an eye on things while they were away. Long before I knew professional house sitting was a thing, I was already doing it. My hands on pet care experience became even more personal when I became the primary caregiver for Angel, my senior Shih Tzu. I managed her complete day to day care, including feeding, walks, bathing, grooming appointments, veterinary visits, medication administration, companionship, and the changing needs that come with caring for an older dog. Today, I bring that same patience and attentiveness to the pets entrusted to me through professional house sitting. I have experience caring for senior dogs, administering medication, maintaining established routines, providing companionship, and adapting my care to each pet’s individual personality and needs. But what truly distinguishes me is everything else I bring through the front door. I’m a U.S. Air Force disabled veteran and retired IT professional with 26 years of experience. My career included systems engineering, cybersecurity, incident response, and positions requiring a Top Secret security clearance. I’m also a former real estate professional and longtime homeowner with firsthand experience managing renovations, repairs, contractors, maintenance, and the unexpected situations that come with caring for a property. That experience matters when you’re trusting someone with your home and pets. If something doesn’t look right, I notice. If detailed instructions need to be followed, I follow them. If something unexpected happens, I know how to assess the situation, communicate clearly, and determine when immediate attention is needed. I understand privacy, security, accountability, and what it means to be trusted with someone else’s property. I don’t simply stay in your home and feed your pets. I tend to what you’ve entrusted to me, your pets, your home, their routines, and the everyday details that allow you to leave with confidence. Because you’re not simply trusting someone to feed the dog. You’re trusting someone with your home and a member of your family. You roam. I tend. 🏡🐾🌍 My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide attentive house and pet sitting based on each client’s needs. I work to maintain your pet’s normal feeding, walking, medication, playtime, and bedtime routines while you’re away. Because I stay in your home, I can provide consistent companionship and care while also keeping an eye on your home and everyday details. I provide attentive, individualized care based on each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, medication when needed, and plenty of attention. I follow the pet parent’s instructions closely and prioritize maintaining a safe, comfortable, and calm environment throughout their stay.

About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours WEDNESDAY night thru SUNDAY. morning. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. See my reviews / testimonials on the WAG! platform for pets I have provided care for most recently. Quality. Compassionate. Care. is what I provide pets. I want them to have the creature comforts that make them feel all warm and comfy and content.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and genuinely love caring for them. To me, every dog deserves patience, kindness, and plenty of attention. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with good company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine, so I’ll follow your care instructions carefully—from feeding schedules and medications to favorite toys and walking habits. My goal is to treat your dog like a member of my own family, giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring, reliable hands. Please note, we board on family at a time, we do not cage the dogs. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I work from home, and my wife is home full-time. This means your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. We have a clean, safe, and pet-friendly home where dogs can feel comfortable and relaxed. Whether it’s regular walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing affection and companionship, we’re committed to making every pet feel like part of the family while they’re in our care. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, medications, and any special needs or preferences. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and regular potty breaks while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. In my home, pets stay in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment where they are supervised throughout the day. Since I work from home and my wife is home full-time, your pet will have lots of companionship and won’t be left alone for extended periods. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s home. I provide reliable, attentive care, keep the space tidy, and send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

FAQs for House Sitting - Redart

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of House Sitting in Redart is $131 per night as of October 2026. Most bookings cost between $69 and $138 per night. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of October 2026, there are 605 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Redart. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Redart walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Redart maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redart choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
