About: I’ve taken care of animals as small as rats and fish ranging to livestock since I was young! I have had all myself and they’ve all been spoiled and happy as long as I’m around. Your pets will be able to tell I’m an animal person and you’ll be relived to go away as your pets will be in great hands! I’m currently working part time at horse stables and still have plenty of time to go spend time home to care for my fur babies and my bigger outside babies lol. My life is technically revolves around my pets care and my part time job is taking care of huge animals that need extra attention, and before this I worked on a diary farm taking care of even bigger animals. at home I make do , I have a huge yard out in the country, I can use the electric collar if needed, leash, or off leash with recall as I do have a horse on the property and another dog and outside cats who they may chase. Any clients home I do the job I came to do and then I do anything extra to make the client feel as if I didn’t just do my job and actually enjoyed and felt comfortable with their pet taking a picture video giving treats extra pets and cuddles etc…
“Desiree did a great job taking care of our cats during the Christmas holiday. The cats were well cared for and very happy kitties. The cats litter was clean and kitties were well fed.”

“Brandy took excellent care of our pets! We have two older animals both with medication schedules and unique challenges and Brandy provided excellent care throughout our entire absence. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a in-home sitter in this area.”
“Latasha looked after our kitty (Lazare) and house for a week in July. She was very professional and courteous. She took the time to write down instructions on our meet and greet. Lazare loved her! I appreciated her communication and photos and she also took good care of the house and plants. I wholeheartedly recommend Latasha.”

“She did a purrfect job taking care of our two cats, including our older queen with some health issues and medication. It was a last minute request and she handled it easily and with a smile. We'd definitely choose her again in the future. Thanks, Mallory!!!”

“Mason was top notch care ! He did one drop in and one walk at my home each day I was gone and everything was perfect. My dog was happy, the house was good, he sent lots of pics and was extremely communicative. Would love to have him watch / walk Ozzy again and would highly recommend him to other pet owners!!”

“I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Kyani. She took amazing care of our fur babies and it shows, they were always so excited to see her. She is a great communicator and sent us daily updates and pictures of our babies. She also took such great care of our home, even bringing packages in and ensuring our robovaccum doesn’t her stuck. I would absolutely hire her again and you should too!”

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 9 years old. I’ve been taking care of them ever since! I have been watching other dogs since I was a teenager. I’ve pet sat a good variety of dogs, from border collies to labs and teeny little Pomeranian mixes! I DO NOT DO SLEEPOVERS I have a good deal of availability during the summer, so my schedule is very flexible! I teach private lessons on Monday and Friday afternoons for a couple hours, otherwise my other jobs provide me a good deal of flexibility, so that I can pet set as much as possible! I do NOT do overnights! At my home our dogs have an electric fence, and have been properly trained not to cross the invisible line. I have also lived in areas where dogs are fenced in, and even with neither type of fence and just a long chain attached to the ground. Regardless I will take care of your pet regardless of the outdoor situation. I am pretty physically fit, so I can carve out some good time to take them on walks, long or short! I follow your instructions to the T when it comes to specific needs and potty/bed times. I will come to you and do whatever needs to be done to make sure your pet is happy and safe!

I have 3 small dogs. I walk them and play with them on a regular basis. I also have 2 cats.

In my care, your fur baby will enjoy multiple walks and visits to local dog parks, with your preferences in mind. Their well-being is my utmost priority, and I treat them with love and care. With a diverse range of breeds and sizes under my care, including various other animals, I'm adept and comfortable in handling them all. My journey in professional animal care began at the tender age of 10. Throughout my life, I've been entrusted with the care of my neighbors' beloved pets, handling tasks from walks to feeding and bathing. Their trust in my abilities was a testament to my dedication and professionalism. From potty training to obedience and even teaching tricks, I'm well-versed in various aspects of pet training. Senior dogs hold a special place in my heart, and their unique needs are met with gentle care and affection. Cats, too, find a kindred spirit in me. If ever you require a trainer, count on me to rise to the occasion. In essence, when it comes to animal care, there's little I can't do. I'm eager to extend my expertise to you and your furry family members. Warm regards, Ramona I'm a dedicated full-time pet caregiver, which means I have the flexibility to accommodate your schedule. About: I've taken care of own dogs for the past five years. I'm happy to walk, feed, bathe, and ensure your furry friend remains happy and healthy just like my own. No dog is too big or too small for me, I love them all! I'm currently in between jobs and currently have plenty of time for morning and evening walks. I am also able to pop-in during the day for any necessary potty breaks or other care your furry friend might need. I can not care for animals in my own home at this time; however, I will provide attentive care to your animal in your home.
About: I have 2 years of experience pet/house sitting and my own small pet sitting business. I’m on Rover to expand my business and get more clients. As an animal lover, pet sitting is a privilege and honor that I absolutely love doing. I have heard horror stories about neglect from pet sitters and I PROMISE that I will treat your fur babies with love and make sure they remain happy/safe/healthy throughout the duration of your travels. I’m currently working as a full time pet sitter through my own small business and I am available anytime with a very flexible schedule. I can be available for your pet all day. I will respect your home and your rules, feed your pet to your specifications, walk your dog, cuddle your cat, and love your animals like they are my own. I do this for my genuine love of animals and not for financial gain.
About: Since I was a little girl, I’ve known my calling was to work with animals and their guardians. It has never been just a hobby or an interest. It has been a lifelong calling that continues to shape who I am. Animals give me a deep sense of purpose. I believe they have the power to restore, rehabilitate, and teach us. Through their loyalty, resilience, trust, and unconditional love, they remind us of the qualities we should strive to reflect in our own lives. That belief is the foundation of everything I do. Throughout my life, I’ve cared for a wide variety of breeds and personalities, from Great Danes to Pit Bull and Husky mixes. Today, I care for my special-needs English Mastiff, Kayser, and have worked with senior dogs, rescue dogs, and animals with unique behavioral and medical needs. Every experience has reinforced the importance of patience, consistency, compassion, and understanding that every animal is an individual with its own story. My commitment to animal welfare led me back to school to pursue professional dog training. I have earned certifications in animal welfare, pet CPR, and first aid, and my training philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement, clear communication, and evidence-based practices. I believe educating guardians is just as important as training their dogs because lasting success comes from strengthening the relationship between both ends of the leash. My mission is to bridge the gap between animals and their guardians by fostering understanding, trust, and lifelong partnerships. While obedience is important, I believe true success is measured by behavioral wellness, emotional enrichment, and creating an environment where both people and their pets can thrive together. Pet care is a part of my everyday routine, so I’ve learned to build my schedule around it. I’m usually up early to handle morning feedings, walks, and check-ins. This allows me to be available from midmorning through early afternoon for appointments, training sessions, or visits. I also maintain flexibility during the evenings and weekends for clients who need additional support or have specific routines for their pets. Because animals are part of my daily life, providing exceptional care, whether for my own pets or someone else’s, comes naturally. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect and attention I’d want in my own. I stick closely to the routines the pet is familiar with, whether that’s feeding times, walk schedules, medication, or playtime, because consistency helps them feel secure. I take my time to build trust with each animal using gentle handling and positive reinforcement. I also pay close attention to their behavior and energy so I can recognize signs of stress or discomfort early. My goal is always to keep pets calm, comfortable, and happy in their own environment while giving families peace of mind knowing their pets are in caring, capable hands.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals since I was 10. Have had dogs/cats in my life as long as I can remember and I grew up taught how to treat an animal right and take care for them. I’m currently working part time at a restaurant. I spend a lot of time doing nothing with my cats and after having a conversation with my partners aunt she advised me to do this so here I am ! Unfortunately I have shelter cats who used to be feral so currently in house sitting I cannot do but I’m more then open to going to a customers home.
“First time using Rover and Liam isn’t used to strangers so we were both a bit nervous. Punctual; being right on time for the scheduled appointments, responsive with great communication and regular updates. The photos are a nice touch and helpful. Exceeded expectations. Thank you.”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a kid. Most recently raising a German shepherd for the last 10 years! I love long walks with the pups and tending to their needs. My days start and end with walks, so the pup will accompany me on all of those or spend time in the backyard while I garden. I have a fence where the dog can have ample space to run around and roam free. Or they can relax inside during the hot summer days.
About: My journey started over a decade ago with my sweet cats and grew to include raising a wonderful Japanese Akita. My family has raised Akitas my whole life, so I have a special love for the furry big guys. I absolutely adore animals, whether your furry family member is a cuddly kitty or a big, playful pup, I can’t wait to give them all the love, fun, and expert care they deserve! I currently have open availability! I'm a graduate student on summer break, so my schedule is very flexible. I'm available for drop-in visits, pet sitting, dog walking, and other pet care services. I look forward to caring for your furry family members! Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, their comfort, safety, and routine are my top priorities. I follow each pet's individual care instructions, including feeding schedules, fresh water, medication administration (if needed), exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. I strive to keep their routine as consistent as possible to help them feel secure while you're away. If I'm caring for your pet in your home, I'll treat your space with the utmost respect while ensuring your pet receives attentive, reliable care. If your pet stays in my home, they'll enjoy a clean, safe, and calm environment with plenty of supervision, enrichment, and opportunities for exercise and relaxation. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
About: Hey friends! I graduated with an AAS in Veterinary Technology in 2019 from Muscatine, Iowa. I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2020 and I absolutely love it. I have a large passion for animal care and know that they deserve as much love as people do. My family and friends have always had animals as well, so I’ve helped with them here and there. I’ve done quite a few jobs on here and it’s always been a great experience! I am CPR trained for both cats and dogs and know how to give various medications in various ways. I worked at Northgate Small Animal Hospital in Collinsville, IL for over 2 years and recently quit this year due to my CF, but I still keep up to date with my licensure! I can work with dogs, cats, and small exotic animals including hamsters, Guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, etc. Don’t worry, you can trust me with all of your fur babies!!! As previously mentioned, I quit working as a Vet Tech in 2023 do to hardships with my Cystic Fibrosis. I still do Rover jobs, so feel free to ask me if you need me! I had a baby earlier this year in April, so my schedule will depend on him and that of my hubbys! Other than that, just let me know and ask me! I don’t watch animals at my home due to our dog, Chief, being dog aggressive but I’m always happy to come to your home and visit your pets! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
