About: I have over 15 years of experience dog sitting. I am a huge animal lover, and would love to give your dog some extra attention while you are away. I grew up with dogs, and I have experience with dogs of varying shapes, sizes and personalities. I will be sure to send you photos and updates. I also have experience caring for cats and horses. Please let me know how I can help! I am available weekends and weekday mornings and evenings. I could be available during the work day on a case by case basis. I work full time in Boothbay (some days are remote). I am open to staying at your place or your dog coming to mine. I do have a dog so they would need to be dog friendly. Safety is my top priority. I always keep dogs on leash when outside, and I always ensure the inside space is safe and clean for your dog.

About: I'm a work at home pet mom with a large yard, lots of toys, and a calm and welcoming house. I've always had large dogs from mixed breeds to Great Danes, but love and appreciate all types of well mannered dogs. My house sits well off the road, so its quiet and I hike or trail walk almost daily. I am adept at giving medicine, cleaning wounds and dealing with incontinent dogs, but I will only board dogs who are respectful of my cats. I am currently working from home on my own schedule. Boarded dogs who enjoy car rides can come with me on errands or outings. While each day may different, my activities will be built around the needs of the animals I am caretaking, especially if separation anxiety is an issue. I will care for your animals as per your instructions and the capabilities of your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have installed a run line in the past. If a dog is used to being crated, receiving treats, or sleeping on the couch - no problem. Conversely, I don't give animals people food, and if you want your pets to stay off furniture I will strictly honor that as well. My house is small but open, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.

About: We have a passion for dogs. I myself have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and health needs including medication, special diets, and have experience caring for injuries and elderly dogs. My partner and I both work full time with rotating schedules. Most days someone is home. On the few days where we are both working, the dogs are free to go in and out of the dog room to the fenced in area outside. I have a 2 year old lab/golden retriever who loves all other dogs, loves to play, and really enjoys having other dogs around. We have a dog room downstairs with an open door to a covered patio and fenced in grass area for the dogs to play, cool off, and use the bathroom at their own needs.

We are always grateful to have a home away from home for our girl that leaves us worry free about her care. About: Taking care of beloved pets is taking care of pet owners. Relaxing time away can only happen if you can trust that your pets are loved and taken care of almost as good as you😊 I have had a variety of pets my entire life. Friends, neighbors and family have trusted me to take excellent care of their pets. I have gone to their home, they have come to my home and I have visited just to walk them. I love all animals and have learned over the years how to recognize their individual needs. We have a quiet space with lots of grass and woods for playing. My groomer told me there is a need for pet care and I want more pets in my life, so this is perfect for me. I work closely with pet parents to make sure your pet has everything they need to feel right at home. We are outside a lot! I love to walk in all kinds of weather and I love to play outside whenever possible. In addition, I love farm animals too! Your pets are safe in my back yard. I always go outside with the pets and will use a leash if need be. I make pets feel right at home inside our home as well. About: I have experienced with a variety of pets - my own, petsitting, and volunteering with shelter cats! I’ve cared for animals young and old, shy and bold, and treat them all like my own. Services I provide: - Cat drop-ins - Small to medium dog walks and drop-ins - Small animal drop-ins, as well as hosting in my home on a case by case basis (in a room inaccessible to my cats). I have experience with bunnies, reptiles, and small rodents! I have a full-time job, but I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I can almost always make a drop-in visit work! I’ll ALWAYS hit the necessities: food, clean water, playtime, pets, and a clean litter box for cats (I feel very strongly about this last one - I won’t leave your home without scooping!) Since I’m petite, I only work with small to medium dogs. I want to make sure that both me and your pup stay safe on our walks together, so I feel that it’s important to stay within my comfort zone! I’m happy to have some playtime with your dog in a fenced yard as well.

About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. If you want a pet caretaker you can count on who will treat your animals as well as their own, I'm your gal! I am operating my pet care business, Mainely Pets - Care & Products, full-time! This means I have lots of availability to care for your pets, but for house-sitting in particular it is best to reach out significantly in advance to ensure I can fit you in! Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).
