About: Pets hold a special place in my heart. I would love to take care of your pets and give them the attention they deserve. While bringing them joy and comfort. I currently am a professional for a local school and can take care your house/pets after school, on the weekends and for school breaks. I am very compassionate, reliable, organized and respectful. I will take care of your pets and home as if they were my owns. I will come to your home so your pets can stay in their own environment. This allows them to stay acclimated and comfortable while you are away.
“Elexis was new to us this Rover stay. As a new dog watcher for us, she went out of her way to meet us and our dogs prior to the actual date needed. She asked questions and helped really show that she was going to individually care for our dogs and follow instructions for our girls to a tee. She was on time, communicative, and friendly. Our girls LOVED her. They even got an introduction to her friendly dog. While we were away the pups got walks, time outside and alot of love. With her vet work experience and compassion, she brings alot to the table as a dog sitter. She is trust worthy. Will definitely consider her again.”

“This is my first time using someone to look after my pets. I was apprehensive at first, but Taylor eased my pessimism being able to talk with her first. I have two elderly cats and they required specific instructions which she followed. I am moving two months from now and I can only hope if I have to find someone again, they are as reliable as her. I appreciate I received a text and pictures of how my cats are doing on her visits. I wasn't expecting that and I am grateful to know they were taken care of.”

I've always been naturally good with dogs and I'm more than willing to work with the more stuborn ones so don't worry if your fur baby is a little standoffish. I am currently working another job so I'd prefer overnight bookings to be at least 2 weeks in advance but if my schedule happens to be free I'm happy to take short notice bookings as well. I will be unavailable from 3pm-11pm every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in October, I am still accepting bookings in the mornings though! I will keep your dogs happy and healthy by careful following all instructions and wearing them out so you come home to a peaceful pup!
“Penny was so wonderful. She took care of my 2 cats amazingly. She is very detail oriented and goes the extra mile to make sure you have 0 worries while you are away. She keeps you updated and communicated any issues or concerns immediately. I will absolutely book with her again. I highly recommend her.”

“Debbie did a wonderful job caring for our Sadie while we were out of town. Sadie’s typically skeptical of new people but went right to Debbie during their meet and greet and was even rolling around showing her tummy as a sign of immediate trust. It’s clear Debbie loves cats and they love her too! She checked in with us every day after her daily visit and we loved all of the pictures she sent to give us peace of mind! We will definitely contact her again the next time we need a pet sitter.”

I am fully confident in my ability to connect with and care for any type of pet, and I am dedicated to making sure both you and your companion feel completely safe, comfortable, and happy. I currently work as a handy-man so my hours are flexible enough to need your pets every needs from stopping by and playing multiple times a day to sitting with them all day and night. I also have an animal friend home with pleanty of play area and 1 acre of fenced in yard for them to play. My 3 dogs and 3 cats welcome any animal into the household with open paws. My gentle giant st. Bernard and German shepherd are rough enough to play tug of war with the biggest of dogs but gentle enough to cuddle and protect a 5lb teacup Yorkie.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
