About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. My husband and I are both currently working from home and have plenty of time to play with your pet. We love to go on walks before and after work and would love to have another dog join us! I am responsible and will take the best care of your dog and home while visiting. I know when I first started using rover I was nervous. I loved having sitters/walkers send me pictures, and would like to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible!

About: I’ve had experience with Dogs and Cats basically my entire life, but took over caring for my childhood pets as they aged! Now I’m a pittie mom x2 with my boyfriend! I’m a college student currently, and work 3 days a week on breaks, so I have a pretty open schedule to fit various availability needs! To me, our pets are our family. I see my own as children and I dote on them and love them as such. Big or small, dogs or cats. I love them all.

They both get along well with other dogs and are really friendly. I have a flexible schedule which allows me to be able to come to your place or have your pet come and stay with me. I can either come to your home and care for your pet at your place or at my home. I have a large gated deck and a nice side yard. The dog park is just a block away which gives the dogs a nice place to run around and hang out with other dogs.

They are very friendly and accepting of other animals. In the past I have worked at a dog kennel, so I have experience caring for all types of dogs and can understand their different personalities and needs. Currently, I work from home as an online ESL teacher so my schedule is very flexible, allowing me to spend lots of quality time with your pet :-) Although I live in an apartment, it's a five minute drive from a few local parks and and a ten minute drive from a nearby dog park. About: Hi Tiffany here ready to start my pet care journey with you!!! I ran an inhome emergency placement for abandoned animals for the past 3 yrs and absolutely love animals!!!! I would get them fixed/shots and find them homes. Looking for more short term care now. I'd love to help out with your furry friends while you are away. I have 2 children that LOVE animals so any pets I watch must be ok with kids. All guests must be curret on Rabies and Flea/tick before being dropped off. I only watch house trained pups.. They will go out every 2hrs from 7:30am -1am you can get lots of pics and text any time. While here your pets are my pets and will be loved on as such 😍🐕🐈‍⬛💘

About: I grew up always having a pet in my childhood home, cats and dogs, and have much experience taking care of my own and others pets. In high school my main way of earning money was taking care of my aunts 2 German shepherds on a daily basis after school. Since then I have pet sat countless friends and families fur babies. I have been a pet mom since I was 18 (12 years) and now have 4 of my own, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I am also a (human) mom of a 1 year old girl. I have cared for 160 lb Rottweilers to 2 week old kittens to horses, chickens and goats. I have been told I am naturally nurturing and I have always found caring for animals to come easily and to be extremely enjoyable. I consider myself very experienced with all sorts of animal needs. I am strong advocate of animal rights and treat animals with the same respect I would a person. Outside of Rover I have been a self employed small business owner in the service industry since 2019. I pride myself in my customer service and communication skills. I am always very responsible and reliable because my livelihood depends on it. If you book with me you will be very pleased with my laid back yet capable attitude. I fully believe in my ability to give you and your furbabies excellent service :) I work part time an I am available for dog/cat sitting on Monday’s and Tuesdays during the day. During the week I am the sole caregiver of my 1 year old daughter and she will be with me while taking care of your pets. She has been exposed to our animals since birth and has learned how to interact with our dogs and cats. She is gentle and kind to animals. Child friendly dogs and cats are a must. My home sits on a 1/2 acre and I have a fenced in yard. My pets have free range of my home apart from our bedrooms which stay closed while we are not in them. I do have the option to keep my pets separated from yours if that’s preferred or needed.

About: I’ve had and taken care of dogs/cats since a young age. I love all animals and taking care of them! Currently, I am caring for my 2 cats and leopard gecko! I only work weekends so I am free all weekdays to be able to take care of your pets! I am no longer able to do house sitting because I now have a baby to take care of, but if they are good with kids and cats, your pet is more than welcome to come stay with us! I do prefer having the option to crate so if issues do arise or if I need to step out, I can do so easily.

About: Hi! My name is April. After growing up around dogs, my husband and I decided to get our first dog-a Hurricane Katrina rescue-as soon as we got married! Having a love for dogs evolved into a partnership with a local rescue in which I've volunteered for transport, adoption home visits, adoption follow up, and fostering. 3 dogs later-I enjoy walking the dogs around the farm, car rides(with drive thrus for pup treats of course!), and cuddling on the couch(our dogs know how to nap!). My friends know that my house is the "dog house" and that their dogs are welcome to come have fun and hang out too! I tend to be the "go to" friend when someone needs a pet sitter:) I specialize in special needs and geriatric care.

I care for all pets and have experience with many cats and dogs :) i promise to do everything possible to give your pet the best care I am a student but have plenty of time in between classes and overnight to care for any pet in need!
