“Jessica and John were wonderful. We have never left our sweet Flynn with anyone besides my Dad. However, my Dad was unable to keep Flynn for this 7 day vacation. Flynn was so well taken care of and I felt 100% comfortable leaving Flynn with Jessica and John. They sent me messages, pictures and videos throughout our trip, which I loved. I feel like Flynn was treated like family. I would definitely recommend and use them again. Love. Love. Love 💕”

“Chris and Gerry are so nice, loving, and kind. My girls felt at ease while staying with them. It helps that they only take one client at a time. If you are looking for someone to love your babies like their own, look no further. Definitely book with Chris and Gerry!”

“Our 1.5yr old puppy, Birdie, was in the very best hands with Melissa during a recent boarding! Melissa is thorough in her intake, noting Birdie's food allergies and current schedule, and is warm and gentle in helping pups acclimate to a new environment. Melissa maintained Birdie's schedule, giving her plenty of outdoor and play time, and administered Birdie's medication, giving us peace of mind to focus on family. We enjoyed the handful of photos Melissa sent along the way and always appreciate her responsive communication. Melissa is deeply professional and the most thorough and warm caretaker and our expectations are always surpassed when Birdie is with Melissa!”

About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am available for early morning or evening walks and drop-ins during the week. I am available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday unless I have a family or social event. However, I am always open to working around my schedule and offering as much flexibility as I can - just shoot me a message! We have a large back porch and yard with a fenced area for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!
“Satsuki was amazing. She watched our 5-month-old husky overnight last minute and made our first boarding experience completely stress-free. She sent photo updates, communicated clearly, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our pup was well cared for. We felt totally comfortable leaving him with her and would absolutely book again. 10/10 recommend.”

“My pup Topaz had the best time with Ellen. Ellen took time with Topaz and made it fun for her. Since Topaz is a senior dog, she is very sensitive to her environment, and she fit in with the other dogs as well. I will be bringing her back on a regular basis now!”

“Tyson was well taken care of while we were on vacation for a week. Renee sent me photos everyday showing how spoiled he was getting! He had an amazing time and was exhausted after I picked him up. Thank you!”

“I am a new dog dad, and never used a dog sitter or Rover previously. I had to go away for a work trip, and I contacted Priscila on very short notice. She did great with my pup. I received plenty of pictures and my puppy looked so happy and was playing constantly. My dog gave her a big hug as she was leaving and made some new doggy friends during her stay! Thanks so much!!”

“Terri had great communication and we were able to do a meet and greet before the stay. She sent us great pictures and updates and would greatly recommend her to watch your pets!”

“Danielle took excellent care of our little kitten Penny. We were nervous about leaving her alone, but Danielle eased our fears with constant communication, lots of photos, and flexibility. Penny was a little sick the day we left, so we were hoping to add another drop in visit and Danielle worked overtime to accommodate and make sure Penny was OK. Also, Penny can be a little skittish, but was so friendly and warmed up to Danielle instantly, she must be a good just of character! You’ll have to plan your vacations around mine, because we will definitely be using Danielle again.”

“Arnie was fabulous! My dogs love him and feel comfortable to let him in the house without us being there. He did a great job take care of the babies. Will book with him again when we need it!”

“Excellent experience. My cat, snake, and fish were well taken care of. Especially happy that he was able to build a rapport while giving my cat her daily meds. Good communication and no issues.”

“We were so grateful to have Maggie step in on short notice to care for our cat. She was incredibly thorough, made sure everything was taken care of, and even brought in our packages while we were away. We especially appreciated the regular updates and photos — it was so reassuring to see our cat happy and well cared for. She was friendly, reliable, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend!”

“Jenna was great with our two cats! She kept us updated on how they were doing, stopped by a few extra times while she was close by to check on them, and brought lots of treats! I can’t recommend Jenna enough for your pet sitting needs. Thanks again for taking such good care of our babies!”

“I was nervous because I've never used this app or left my dog with anyone. Charlie made me feel super comfortable. He showed me the space, showed that he had read her profile, and took such good care of her. She had ample space and friends to run and play with, but Charlie also gave her cuddles when she started to get anxious, which I truly appreciate.”

“We have an older dog who has anxiety being left alone so I’ve been looking for a doggy day care type of care for her when I can’t be home. The Rover app was recommended to us and we found Diana online who was highly rated. Wonderful experience and will book again. Thank you.”

“Ellen is great! She has a big heart and is an animal person through and through. We started out with a few boarding visits and now go to Ellen for day care every week. She’s very easy to work with and has a great location for dogs to run around/play/hike. Thanks Ellen!”

“My dog loves to stay at Danny's house. This has been such a help since my doggy day care closed. Keeps me informed and sends pictures. I'd recommend him as an excellent care giver.”

“Jesse helped us out with a very last minute request to watch our dog for the day and we’re so glad we found her! Our dog had a great time at doggie day care with Jesse and her family. They provided her with lots of exercise and play, as well as lots of love. I showed up to one happy dog at the end of the day. Jesse is a good communicator and provided updates and pics from the day. We would recommend Jesse for any dog sitting needs!”

“We are new with Renee, Kuro has been consistently going in for day care for the past 3 weeks and I must say he has a blast. He is happy to go there, gets to play with other pups. Renee is patient and very attentive. She accommodates requests and also goes that extra mile to care for our pup. Thank you Renee.”

“Christa is wonderful! Kind and caring, her home is so warm and welcoming. Our dog Schatzi is older and needs some special care which Christa provides, she really goes above and beyond to make your pet comfortable. And also thank you for being available for a very last minute booking, very much appreciated ❤️”

“She was very attentive to our pup and sent us lots of pictures and videos. It made us feel like he was right at home and allowed us to enjoy our time away without worries. So grateful!”

“My dog had a fabulous time with Kim! She was warm and friendly from the start, and her beautiful house and backyard made my dog feel comfortable and right at home. She even took him to the park, which he loved! Kim was communicative, trustworthy, and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend her!”

“We are really glad we had Jennifer watch our dog, Whisky, for the day. He seemed to really enjoy his time with her and came home completely exhausted and ready for bed. Definitely will reach out again and hope to give many, many repeat visits to Jennifer. Thanks!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child. My friends and family rely on me for dog sitting when away, and my lab loves all other dogs! I currently work from home and don’t travel much on weekends. So I have time to walk, play, and take care of other pups. I take my lab out every 4 hours for a nice long walk, and we love going to dog parks and hiking if that’s something your pup likes to do as well! I’m in an apartment so walks are my go to for my lab. We go out every 4 hours or so, with a long walk in the morning before breakfast, a long walk at lunch, and a long walk in the evening. In between that, I have lots of toys for dogs to play with and will provide lots of love and pets!
About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. We also have several large fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Safety is always my top priority, and dogs are supervised during outdoor time to make sure everyone stays happy and secure
“Tux has always been anxious when left behind, but did very well with Emily all day. She was very attentive to his needs and he got along well with her other daycare pup. She sent numerous pictures and answered my texts right away when I checked in on him. She asked permission to take him on a short ride in her car, which I granted since he loves car rides and hates being left behind. I will definitely book with her again. Thanks, Emily, for taking such great care of our boy.”

“Emily was absolutely amazing with Leo! She kept us updated and even did a little mini photoshoot with him. We will definitely use her again if we ever needed someone! Thank you so much for being so great with him.”

“Cheryl made me feel at ease about leaving my very anxious baby. Her system to introducing the dogs really put my mind at ease, and she sent me pictures while we were out to let me know my pup was okay. I would recommend her. Thank you Cheryl!”

“Cannoli took to Arnie immediately which is really unusual for her. But they get along great and I know she lives the walks! When comes home she crashes for an hour or so. Arnie is early and takes good care of Cannoli. Very much appreciated. I definitely went with the right walker!”

“We are so incredibly grateful for the care Kathryn provides our babies. She is punctual and reliable and enables us to go to work without stressing over how our babies are doing at home. The pictures are like the cherry on top! 🥰”

About: I LOVE DOGS!! What more can I say? I have had dogs in my family, of my own and taken care of family dogs practically since I was born. I've been around dogs of all shapes and sizes and love all of them, no matter what! I have had experience with special diets, dog walking and even diabetic dogs (using diabetic test strips and glucometer). Sometimes I like to think of myself as a dog whisperer: I can get along with all dogs and read what they need or want. I'm also great at helping dogs to heal or get over their fears! I especially love giving and receiving loves (hugs, kisses and lots of cuddles and petting)! Give me your doggie babies! :D I would love to take care of them!
“Amanda showed up 5 minutes early which I really appreciated. She was personal yet professional. Zoey can be a challenge to walk because of her puppiness, but she came back exercised and ready to nap. I would definitely recommend Amanda!”

About: I have always had some kind of pet growing up and love them! My grandfather had cows, chickens, pigs and dogs on his farm and I would jump at any opportunity to go see them! I have my own Personal experience in pet care from having my own pets and caring for the pets of family members and friends. I currently have a cat that is 9 weeks old that is very friendly and loves to play! Before having my current cat I had a yorkie that I loved but passed of old age. I am available to do dog walks, pet sitting, drop ins, house sitting and boarding! I am currently available the entire day. I’m exited to meet you and your pets!😊 My current schedule is very flexible as I am a real estate agent and able to work from home, so I have plenty of time for your pets. I have a dog park just a walk away and would love to play with your pets! I have a friendly cat to accompany yours if preferred. I can easily accommodate your pets needs!
About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years, starting in middle school and continuing through college and grad school. I have experience with dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and caring for both dogs and cats. While in school, I regularly pet sat for families in Pennsylvania and built lasting relationships through reliable, attentive care. I’ve worked with pets of all ages and sizes—including dogs with health issues who require medication, special routines, or extra attention. What sets me apart is my lifelong connection to animals. I grew up in a home with pets throughout my childhood—including 4 dogs (labs and pointers), 6 cats, and 10 bunnies—so caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely love making animals feel safe, happy, and cared for. I recently started a full-time role, but the great news is I only work three days a week! That means I still have plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends for drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting. I'm happy to work with your schedule and provide consistent care for your pets while you're away or at work. Feel free to reach out with any questions or requests—I’d love to help! I take safety and trust seriously and always aim to make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I care for pets in their own home to help maintain their routine and comfort, which I know is especially important for animals who may get anxious in unfamiliar environments. I follow all instructions carefully—whether it's feeding schedules, medication, walking routes, or playtime preferences—and I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and happy while you're away. I treat every pet like my own and every home with the utmost respect, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. You can feel confident that your furry friend is in caring, trustworthy hands.

About: I’ve had experience with Dogs and Cats basically my entire life, but took over caring for my childhood pets as they aged! Now I’m a pittie mom x2 with my boyfriend! I’m a college student currently, and work 3 days a week on breaks, so I have a pretty open schedule to fit various availability needs! To me, our pets are our family. About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, and I have experience with taking care of many different breeds, young and old. I am available anytime throughout the week and most weekends. I have two friendly dogs that would love to keep yours company. About: I've been surrounded by animals, in particular cats, my entire life. At one point, we had a household full of animals ranging from a rambuctious German Shepherd to a teeny tiny Leopard Gecko and Corn Snake. We've had pets for a long time, and they always gave us structure. They are and have always been a part of our family, and we tend to take care more of them than ourselves. I live in an apartment now, but I am willing to come to the owner's home for daily walks, pet/house sitting if they're at work or on vacation, play with the animals and give them exercise, and also available to stay overnight if needed.

Thank you!”

“Terri had great communication and we were able to do a meet and greet before the stay. She sent us great pictures and updates and would greatly recommend her to watch your pets!”

“John and his family watched over Axel our dog and treasured member of our family when we took a long vacation away. It was great to know that he was in such good care and getting such great attention. Great communication and attention throughout.”

“Christina is amazing! From start to finish, she went above and beyond caring for Boss and Chipper. She was wonderful with communication, sending regular updates and photos that made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She even stepped in to help at the last minute, which was such a relief. I could tell she genuinely loves dogs—both Boss and Chipper were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for the entire time. I felt so relieved knowing they were in such capable hands. I can’t recommend Christina highly enough and will definitely be booking her again!”

“This was the first time that our poodle Josephine was away from us and vice versa. We felt very comfortable with Ashley and Ryan. Josephine had a great time playing with their three pups and we so appreciated the photos and texts. Josephine is already scheduled for another stay soon. Highly recommend.”

“Nancy was so good. She was receptive to all of our requests and needs and flexible with our drop off and pick up. She treated Mochi better than we did and loved him the same. She provided daily updates and ensured that he was safe and loved. I would entrust Mochi to Nancy anytime in the future and would recommend the same to others. Thank you Nancy!”
