Rina was great with our dogs. They instantly bonded with her due to her warm and welcoming nature. She sent us frequent pictures and updates while we were away. She spent a week at our home with our dogs, which we believe they enjoyed. We will not hesitate to use her again when needed and could not recommend her highly enough.

About: What sets me apart is that I genuinely treat pets as members of the family, not just animals I’m watching. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, including shy or nervous dogs who need extra patience to build trust. I’m attentive to details, follow routines closely, and understand how important consistency is for a pet’s comfort and well-being. Because I care for my own dogs daily, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels and communicating concerns promptly. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while also respecting each pet’s individual needs and boundaries. My goal is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while their owners are away, and for owners to have peace of mind knowing their pets are receiving personalized care. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have two dogs, so I’m used to feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, monitoring behavior, and making sure they get plenty of attention throughout the day. I also stay on top of things like cleaning up after them, maintaining their routine, and watching for any signs that something might be off. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so fitting pet care into my day feels very natural. In my home, pets are treated like family. I maintain a consistent routine for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, and playtime. I provide a safe, clean, and supervised environment where pets receive plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. I closely monitor their behavior, appetite, and energy levels and will follow any instructions regarding medications, dietary needs, or special care. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable, secure, and loved while they are in my care.

Erin cared for my 2 cats and 1 dog for 10 days while I was out of the country on vacation. She communicated daily, sent pictures and I was able to enjoy my trip knowing my pets and home were in good hands. I came home to happy pets and my house was in order and just as I left it. Erin is my go to person and I highly recommend her!!

Darcy was amazing!! My pups warmed up to her faster than I’ve ever seen them with a new sitter. I was extremely comfortable with her watching my pups by the end of our meet and greet and would absolutely ask her to sit in the future. A big bonus to me was her willingness to spend the night with them and how she respected my house during her stay. Highly, highly recommended her!

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of hands on experience caring for pups of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I currently have two amazing dogs of my own. Khloe is a resilient 11 year old that has overcome major medical challenges, including a leg amputation and daily medication routines, and Oakley is an energetic 2 year old who keeps life exciting! Because of my own dogs, I’m no stranger to giving medication (including injections), working with limited mobility or vision, and supporting senior pets with the extra care they need. Whether your dog is a bouncing puppy or a gentle senior, I’ll treat them like family with playtime and plenty of belly rubs. I’d love to help care for your furry friend while you’re away! I work second shift, so I’m available in the mornings and early afternoons to care for your pet! I also live very close to work and am able to run home on breaks to see my dogs. In my home, dogs are treated like part of the family. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I make sure every dog gets the exercise and fresh air they need with daily walks, just like I do with my own pups. For dogs with limited mobility or who tire easily, I even have a wagon that I use to wheel them around so they can still enjoy the outdoors safely and comfortably, something I do often for my senior, three-legged dog. Inside my home, I provide a calm, structured environment. I have two crates available and can accommodate both crate trained dogs and those who prefer to free roam. I always take the time to understand each dog’s routine and personality so I can tailor their care, whether that’s sticking to a medication schedule, providing quiet time, or making sure they have plenty of play and affection. In a client’s home, I aim to follow your routines as closely as possible to keep your pup comfortable and stress free while you’re away. My top priority is always the safety, happiness, and well-being of your dog.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals from the age of 11 and up. I have about 10 years of experience pet sitting, walking and training, with all different sizes of dogs, cats and even some horses! I volunteered at taps for about a year and a half. I’ve always been a big animal lover for as long as I can remember, I treat every animal as if they were my own baby’s! I currently work a part-time job so I have plenty of time throughout the day to take care of your baby’s the only times I’m not available is past 6pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I am very clean and respectful in other peoples homes most the people I’ve pet sat or dog walked for say they wouldn’t have even noticed I was there if there wasn’t things in the trash

About: Hi! My name is Lily, and I’m a college student who absolutely loves animals. I’m responsible, dependable, and will care for your pets as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, or just someone to keep them company, I’m happy to help. I’m patient with animals of all ages and personalities, and I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust while you’re away. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, love, and care, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! I’m definitely a busy body but not too much ;) I currently work at Carl Methodist hospital as a CNA and I also work at a bridal boutique in Lincoln, Illinois where I sell homecoming prom and wedding gowns. I am currently in college going into my sophomore year and I will have class on Thursday Friday and Saturday and that will take up at least three hours of those days. I’m very confident with my time management skills and will never take on too much. I hope you’ll consider me! I will try my best to fulfill every request needed to care for your animals and any in-home needs related to them. I take pride and what I do and do it all to the best of my ability.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pottstown

This was the very first time we've ever left our lab in the care of a sitter. Before we thought about checking Rover, we considered boarding June at our vet's boarding facility but we really didnt want her to be around other dogs since she's so skittish. We then checked Rover hesitantly but out of curiosity, we really weren't sure that we wanted a stranger in our home. We ran into Erin's profile and almost immediately we felt less hesitant. We, including June, our lab, met with Erin three times before our trip. (Definitely recommended, by the way) Erin was friendly, pleasant, and she just felt like a professional to us. June warmed up to her quickly, and i mean very quickly. Once we left for our trip we were comfortable knowing that June was in good hands. Then on Day 2 we were hit by a huge storm that knocked out the power at our house for 2 days. Erin went above and beyond for June to make sure she was comfortable in the house with no A/C. She moved June's crate to our family room downstairs where the temp was much cooler and even moved our "June Cam" down there as well so when the power did come on, we could check on June ourselves. Outside of that, Erin sent multiple pics of June to us every single day with updates as well. OH, and she even brought our mail in everyday even though we totally forgot to find someone to do that for us. Erin, thank you so much. From the bottom of our hearts we cant tell you how thankful we are for you and who you are. Thank you for loving our June while we were gone and for giving us invaluable peace of mind so we could enjoy our worry-free vacation even when the weather gave us plenty to worry about. God bless!

Adrianna stayed with our two spoiled pups as we went out of town overnight and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. She sent pics to calm our nerves and when we returned we could tell our pups had a great time. The house was just as clean if not cleaner than when we left! We’ll absolutely be using Adrianna again.

I couldn't be happier with the care or pet City provider for three dogs over the weekend. From the moment we met, she was kind, professional and clearly passionate about animals. She kept me updated with photos and messages which would give me peace of mind while I was away. When I returned, the dogs were happy, relaxed and clearly well care for. It is not easy managing tripods, but she handle it like a pro. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter. We will definitely be booking her again

FAQs for House Sitting - Pottstown

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Pottstown on Rover is $39.96 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 131 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pottstown. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pottstown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pottstown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pottstown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pottstown. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
