“Patrick and Chris are excellent dog sitters and all around great people. I work early mornings in the hospital before any other daycares open and was worried I would have no place to bring my 4 month old puppy. They willingly took my pup in at 0515 am. She was so excited to see them the next morning. We will absolutely use them again!”

“Heather is absolutely AMAZING! My pup gets so excited when we pull into her neighborhood for a day of doggy daycare. Heather is professional, caring, and such a sweet person overall. I am so happy to have found such a reliable person to take care of my fur baby!”

“Jessica was amazing!! We needed a last minute sitter for our brand new, very needy 9 week old puppy, and she was more than up to the task. We were very comforted by her friendliness and the frequent updates. Will definitely use her again in the future!”

“AMAZING! Thank you so much for taking care of our small pup! Our ball of energy came home tired which tells us he had lots of fun playing at pup daycare! Also, quick with responding which is a great plus and nice home with a large fenced yard for all the pups to play in! Will definitely book again!”

“Morgan is incredible - amazing, kind, patient, trusting and reliable! We just got a new puppy who is not yet trained and she’s so wonderful with him. My husband and I highly recommend and truly appreciate her! Thank you :)”

About: I've taken care of many types of dogs my whole life. In our adult years, my husband and I have watched many dogs for friends. We welcome senior dogs, puppies and anything in between. We do have two dogs of our own who are very friendly. I am a stay at home mom over the summer so my schedule is very open to take care of pets. My daughters are 5 and 7 and will be with me for all pet care. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to play with your pup. We have a doggy door installed and a large water bowl. We have crates and places to put additional crates if needed.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. I love small, medium, and large dogs and cats! I used to own an American bully but unfortunately his owner wanted him back. I enjoy playing, watching, dressing up, and walking all pets! I currently work full time Sun-Wed but I am home most of the time. I have a 3 day weekend, Thursday-at so I’m definitely home and bored lol. I love being around pets! I own a townhome with a garage. My backyard is fenced behind an interstate. I also have an extra bedroom and lots of living space room for the pet to run around!
“Maria, provided excellent care to my dog in daycare. She sent photos through out the day and my dog looked very happy and comfortable. She was flexible with me and kind as well. I would ask Maria to watch my dog again.”

About: Hi, I’m Leslie! I’ve had pets my entire life, so I understand how much trust it takes to place your dog in someone else’s care. I share my home with Bowie, my French bulldog, and Gordon and Ramsay, my two cats. Caring for Bowie has made me especially attentive to the little things—changes in breathing, appetite, mobility, behavior, or comfort—and taught me how important it is to follow each dog’s individual routine closely. I’m comfortable caring for dogs who need extra patience or individualized attention, including seniors and dogs with special feeding, mobility, or medication. I’m dependable, organized, and comfortable following detailed instructions. Although I’m not a veterinary professional, I am calm, observant, and serious about following owner and veterinarian guidance carefully. Whether your dog stays in my home or I care for them in yours, my goal is to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. You can expect dependable care, clear communication, regular photos, and honest updates—because I know how much peace of mind matters when you’re away. My daytime schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, doggy day care, and boarding without rushing through visits. I plan each booking carefully so I can give your dog individual attention while maintaining their normal feeding, potty, exercise, medication, and rest schedule. For house sitting and extended stays, I’ll confirm timing and expectations with you before booking. For boarding and day care, dogs have supervised access to my fenced yard. My home is also shared with Bowie, my French bulldog, and Gordon and Ramsay, my two cats. A meet-and-greet is important so we can make sure everyone is a safe and comfortable match. Guest dogs must be able to coexist safely with both dogs and cats. Introductions are gradual and closely supervised. I follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, crating, leashing, sleeping arrangements, and household boundaries. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both their routine and their space. I double-check doors, gates, leashes, and care instructions and provide updates throughout the visit. I’m especially mindful of heat sensitivity, breathing limitations, and mobility needs in flat-faced, senior, and special-needs dogs.
“I needed a few hours to complete shopping. I am visiting from out of town and needed a place to let my big boys play and run! This was fantastic! Super friendly. Responsive. And same day (with only an hour notice) such a life saver!”

“Belle was very good about explaining everything---areas available to the dog, other dogs at the home, toys, food, water, vet etc. Everything was clean. It was the first time my dog had been left with someone other than myself and so it was all new to him. I felt confident that Flynn was well taken care of and will use Belle again.”

“Michelle was a big help for a last minute booking! She kept Bailey for about 8 hours for me and we will definitely be repeat customers if we need someone to watch him again.”

“Emily is wonderful. She took a short notice request from us for an afternoon. She was amazing at integrating her other visitors with ours. Our dogs snuggled up and were very comfortable for their afternoon stay. She is a very caring and kind person who loves what she does! Doggies are well cared for and spoiled with love. It can be hard to connect with sitters and trust but you don’t have to hesitate with Emily & Austin. They make them part of the family!!!”

“Once again so pleased with Leslies care for our pups! My wife went into labor early this week and Leslie had our pups for the day on fairly short notice! They always come home nice and tuckered out! 10/10 recommend!”

As of September 2026, there are 279 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Port Royal. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Port Royal commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
