“A very smooth day from beginning to end. Shannon provides great communication, an easy to get to location, and great care for the pups. Harpo didn't want to leave!”

About: I’ve owed and taken care of animals for decades. They are an indelible part of families and should be treated with an abundance of love. I am recently retired and have plenty of time to love and care for animals. Your pet will be treated as a member of my family. I have owned four dogs but they have all crossed the rainbow bridge. I have a fenced yard. Your pet will be allowed on my furniture and sleep in my bed (if they want to).
“Ellie is amazing 👏 My pup has so much fun playing with her friends all day and gets sooo excited in the car when she realizes where we are headed 😊 Plus Ellie makes drop off and pick up a breeze so I'm never stressed about work. I am super grateful for her!!”

“Thor came home completely exhausted from his day with Christina. She made sure Thor met everyone at his own pace and he was comfortable throughout his stay. She provided a lot of pictures and communication throughout the day which put my mind at ease. She’s very clearly has a passion for dogs and spoils each dog in her care. Thor had crashed out in the car before even getting home. Before he fell asleep he gave her 4 paws up. I’m so happy to have found Christina and the comfort of knowing my fur baby is in good hands!! Thank you Christina!!”

“Nicole was an excellent host. I booked a last minute trip and she was able to work with me so that my trip went as smooth as possible. She took amazing care of my pups and provided me with constant updates. I would highly recommend trusting Nicole with your fur babies.”

About: I've grown up with animals my whole life and feel I am very responsible and reliable and I am comfortable with all animals. I will treat your animals just as I would treat mine! I will be available Monday through Friday mornings and evenings and most weekends. I can accommodate most or any schedule. Including all of the holidays. I will happily follow any and all given instructions by the pets owner and make the pet feel safe and comfortable in their own home.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs in the house hold as far back as I could remember! I have a genuine love for animals in general but especially our canine friends. I have served in law enforcement for nearly a decade and with that said safety, security and transparency are top of my list of priorities. I have worked closely with dogs my entire life and have trained several dogs to learn simple and more advanced commands which improves the overall behavior and wellbeing of any dog. My schedule is extremely flexible and all it takes is an open line of communication and most scheduling need can be met to fit the owners requests. Its important for me that a clients pet is treated like my own. I believe it takes integrity to car for someone’s dog and because they can not speak for themselves it worries pet owners that their dog may be mistreated when being cared for by another person. Rest assured I would make it my mission to treat your dog as if he/she were my own. My home is located on nearly 2 acres grassy open fields, with over 4000 sq ft of that space being fenced in for plenty of outdoor activities.
“I can’t say enough about how great Lauren was with our puppy. She was so kind and loving to him and he was very well cared for. She was super flexible with our schedule, which I greatly appreciate! I would give her a 10 star review if I could. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

About: I've had two dogs, one puppy and one rescue (both Wheaten Terriers). I miss them and decided to offer my home to other dogs who mostly prefer the comforts of being in a homely environment, especially for senior dogs who need to feel settled while owners are away. I am near the trails so dogs can have a long and safe walk, or just a few 20 minute strolls around the neighborhood - it's the dog's choice! Your dog will be in very good hands. I am available 24/7 with a daily routine that would accommodate a pet dog in my household to look after and care for as if my own. I sometimes board my neighbor's dog and a feeding routine is maintained during the day, early morning walk and throughout the day as required. I have no fence so a pee break is on leash around the gardens of my home. We usually walk about 3 times per day (weather permitting) with a final pee break before bedtime. Play times and cuddle times are spontaneous, as well as nap times! I don't mind dogs on my leather sofa.
“Shelby was very good at communicating during the day. It unfortunately wasn’t a fit for my dog in her home but she helped me out big time by watching him for the full day still. Very kind person and Kane loved his time with her. Definitely recommend her!”

“Outstanding care! Lily had what appeared to be her best day of our road trip. Great communication and several pictures. I we come to St Louis again, Xena will be the first person we look up for doggy daycare!”

About: New to rover but have been a dog owner for 20+ years and have dog sat for friends and family countless times. I used to work with dog grooming and have 2 years of vet tech experience. new to rover but have been dog lover for years. I have 2 dogs of our own that are very friendly and love the company of other fur babies. I have a big fenced in yard with plenty of space for fur babies to run and get out some energy. I am very flexible to each fur babies needs whether it be diets, medication, or just playing with their favorite toy.
About: I LOVE animals! I grew up on a farm in Arizona surrounded by dogs, chickens, cows, hamsters, and even a few ferrets and a snake! I adopted my own fur baby (an almost three year old lab, Pyrenees, Newfoundland mix🥰) a few years ago, and we are excited to be helping y’all out with your pets! I’m currently not working besides taking care of pets on Rover, so my availability is pretty open and flexible. In very few instances, I may need to request a slight changing in time frame to accommodate for my two kiddos under two (fun times! 😂 ). All things considering, life as a stay at home mom allows me to be most available for doggy day care and boardings, but if you’re fine with my sister tagging along to help with my away-from-home sittings, I can sit your house for you as well (overnights most of the time for me are a no-go, but I’m a night owl/early bird so I can come and leave early/late, and my sister is able to spend overnights as well if needed throughout most of the week. But you never know so please feel free to talk to me and we can see if we can work something out 😊). If you’re considering boarding/doggy day care, I just moved into my first house with a backyard and a dog park within walking distance! I would be able to provide your pups with ample exercise, and both my kiddos and my pup LOVE to play and get along well with other pets. We are also conveniently located only ten minutes from the airport, so you can drop them off on your way to vacation and pick them up without going too far out of your way on your way home! I have experience with most breeds, ages, and needs of dogs, and while I’m not trained in any type of CPR/first aid (nor have I ever needed to use it), I have the head knowledge. While that may be a certification goal in the future, for now I’m focusing on completing classes to be able to be credentialed as a dog trainer (with dog grooming, certification to be pursued shortly after! Look out for huge discounts as a return Rover customer 😉) Don’t hesitate to ask any questions! I value complete and honest communication over anything, because a lot of things can be solved if we just talk about it! 😊 Thank you for booking with me! Your pets will be well loved. 🥰 NOTICE: I NO LONGER ACCEPT PITS OR PIT MIXES TO BOARD. I HAVE HAD TOO MANY CASES WHERE A SITUATION AROSE WHERE MY DOG OR ANOTHERS’ DOG(S) HAVE BEEN PUT IN AN UNSAFE SITUATION DUE TO A PIT. AS OF NOW, I STILL ACCEPT HOUSE SITTINGS WITH PITS/PIT MIXES, OR IF A BOARDING IS WHAT YOU NEED, MY MOTHER-IN-LAW IS MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP OUT UPON COMPLETION OF A MEET AND GREET. SHE IS A CERTIFIED ROVER SITTER AS WELL. ALL DETAILS WILL BE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL UPON RECEIVING A BOARDING REQUEST. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING. 🥲 As I said, this is my only source of income, so I can cater to the needs of your pet right along with my own with practically nothing to stand in the way! I treat Rover as a job (with my kiddos being my priority, of course). Because of that, whatever your daily routines and habits are with your pets, I try my hardest to implement, so there are as few life changes as possible for your pets to help them settle into their new environment. I treat your pet like my own (yes, they even sleep in my bed sometimes 😂), and I honestly take even more care over yours to ensure the best experience all around. This means leashing them EVERY TIME we go outside and BEFORE any doors are opened, giving them space if needed and around other dogs, etc. I know how to read animal body language, so that makes it easier to assess a situation before it gets stressful. If I’m sitting at your house, my sister and I always make sure to leave your home looking better than when we arrived to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible returning home from your trip. We understand how important your space is!
