About: I have had animals all my life. (mostly dogs and cats). I will take great care of your pets while you are away. I couldn't imagine a house without fur babies. I love spending time with animals. I am available in the evening during the week and weekends. I'm a teacher, so once summer begins I have more flexibility and can be available during all times during the week. Now I have a rescue who over the past 4 years we've helped work through a lot of reactivity and she now is an active participant in Rally competitions and other classes. As a teacher my summer is wide open for walks and drop in visits. Once the school year starts after school and weekends are open. I'm very comfortable with dogs of various sizes and needs. About: I’ve loved and cared for animals my entire life. Many of the animals I have cared for have had special health-care needs which has given me a deep understanding of how important pets are to a family. I have managed special health-care needs such as caring for a diabetic cat (Cupcake), a cat with FIV (Sylvester), a cat with kidney issues (Socks), and a senior German-Shepherd dog with dementia (Charlie). Because of this, I am incredibly comfortable with complex care routines. I have also regularly provided reliable drop-in vacation visits for friends and family. I am currently working full time within the Village of Angola, but I have time in the afternoons as well as my lunch break to do drop ins and visits. The majority of my availability during the week will be in the afternoon. I do have most weekends available as well. When caring for pets in a client’s home, safety and routine are my top priorities. I strictly follow all feeding, medication, and exercise instructions to keep your pet's schedule consistent. I also document when I complete a task as well as photo proof as requested. I make sure doors and gates are fully secured during drop-ins, provide fresh water, and always double check the house before leaving.
