“Morgan was great with my fur babies. I received so many pictures and videos and felt connected to them even while I was miles away! I will definitely be asking Morgan to watch over my babies again and would highly recommend Morgan to anyone!”

“Aiyanna has been so so helpful with our dog, Phoebe! Not only is she great with her (and all of her quirks), but she is always willing to go the extra mile to support us and make sure we feel comfortable when we are away from her. Would recommend Aiyanna if you are looking for someone who is communicative, accommodating, flexible, and eager to make your pet happy!”

“Aleyah is very professional and caring. She cares for our pups well and is attentive to their needs. We will continue to rebook Aleyah for dog walking and dog sitting services.”

“A huge thank you to Deborah for staying with our two dogs while we were out of town. She took wonderful care of them, and gave me plenty of updates. She even dressed them up and took Halloween pictures with them! We appreciate it so much. It was so great to be able to travel and not worry about our fur babies at all.”

“Jaslyn is so sweet and she took care of my 2 dogs very well. I’m very careful of who I let into my home and I can tell you Jaslyn is very trustworthy. My dogs were fed, cleaned, and received a lot of love. I will definitely be using her services again. Thanks Jaslyn!”

“Hieu and Anna did another incredible job house-sitting and taking care of our dog and two cats for almost two weeks! They sent a steady stream of pictures and updates that we looked forward to seeing every day and really captured our pets’ personalities! We would use them again in a heartbeat.”

“Michaela stayed with our Lab for three days, and she was wonderful all around. She was prompt and extremely communicative (and shared lots of pics). She walked our dog frequently, and when he created a couple of issues (ha), she handled it great, kept us in the loop, and went above and beyond with cleaning up (laundry, dishes, etc) and generally left the place looking nicer than before she arrived : ). I would absolutely recommend Michaela!”

About: I grew up with many pets. For example, I’ve had 6 birds, 3 hamsters, 1 dwarf gerbil, 1 leopard gecko, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and possibly more. I currently have 2 dogs. Both are rescues. Jasper is 2 years old and I’ve had him since he was about a month old if even that, and Raleigh who is 7 now. I’ve had her since she was 2. Aside from the doggy babies, I also currently have a brown anole that I took in from Florida. His name is Tommy and I’ve had him for 4 months now. He was a baby when I found him. I also have 2 fish, Gumball and Penny. I personally believe all animals are babies. I’ve also pet sit for family members before. I’m currently working part time and I’m not yet in school. I do have a lot of free time, and because I don’t live alone I have people home to help take care of my furry and scaled friends, where as some people may need some extra help that I’d be able to provide! I was raised right. I’m respectful, do not cross boundaries, and know better than to disrespect clients (human and animal, of course!) I’m a big empath, I love animals beyond comprehension. I’m a vegetarian that’s working my way to veganism if that can show you how empathetic I am. I also cry while watching Ratatouille. I love walking, I love talking to animals, I treat animals as if they are literal babies because they are just too cute!
“Melissa was incredible. It was our first time having a housesitter and Melissa exceeded our expectations. We got multiple updates and photos each day without having to ask. Our house was immaculate and our puppy was happy. So grateful for Melissa!”

“As always, I trust and appreciate Veronica and her daughter implicitly. My dogs are well loved and cared for and it’s so nice to know someone has an eye on the house too when we are gone.”

“Anna is awesome! She did an amazing job taking care of our dog while we were away. She was great about texting us updates and photos, and we felt so comfortable that our dog was in great hands. I would definitely book with Anna again and highly recommend working with her!”

“Xavier has watched my pet Mojo twice now and I could not be happier with the experience. From our very first meeting, his professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for animals were incredibly clear. I highly recommend Xavier because of his fantastic communication. Xavier sent daily photo updates and quick text check-ins, keeping me completely stress-free while I was away. He followed all of Mojo’s dietary and relief routine with no issues. My home was left completely spotless, organized, and secure. Mojo is a naturally anxious pet due to his separation anxiety but warmed up to him almost instantly, which speaks volumes about his gentle demeanor.”

“Hannah has been wonderful with our two dogs, one of which was recently ill and recovering from surgery. It’s been great having someone we can trust with them while we’re away! She always sends lots of pictures and communicates well :)”

“Odette kept our pups safe and happy during a heatwave and was so respectful of our house while we were away. She was easy to reach throughout the week. She went above and beyond to take care of the pups and house.”

“Grace did a wonderful job staying with our dog and housesitting for a weekend. She was a great communicator, sent pictures and updates. Wouldn’t have even know she was in the house. We will for sure use her again and love having someone close by we can trust with our home and pup.”

About: I have taken care of pets since I was in middle school. I first had hermit crabs, then parakeets, and in April 2022 I got my first dog named Luna. I had her since she was about 2 months old so I have a lot of experience with puppies who are going through potty training etc. Luna is fully grown and is about 5lbs. She is a ball of energy and will definitely give your pup a run for their money! I also have another mini poodle named Zeus. Ive had him since about 3 months and he is about 12 lbs. Zeus is very friendly and loving. My aunt also had plenty of dogs and she has relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe her pets! I am definitely reliable when it comes to leaving your dog with me and I will make sure to provide updates throughout the day or night of your fur baby. I’m currently working full time during the week but I will have plenty of time to play with your pups on the weekends! I am available for boarding, house sitting, day care, dog walking, or drop in visits. I live in a house with 2 mini poodles. Luna and Zeus both have a lot of energy and are very friendly dogs. They will play with your dog all day long if they could. While in the house, I can let the fur babies play and entertain each other or crate my dogs to give your fur baby some space. I allow dogs on the furniture so they are free to roam and figure out their new surroundings. If I house sit, I am efficient with checking in on your fur baby, making sure they are okay, and love giving walks. I can stop by for as long as you need on the weekends. Your fur baby will be well taken care of around me!
“Anh took terrific care of our pups. She was responsive, sending daily updates and getting in touch with any questions she had about dog care. I absolutely recommend her for puppy care and will request her for future needs.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Pomonkey is $50

As of August 2026, there are 8,882 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pomonkey. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pomonkey walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pomonkey maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pomonkey choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pomonkey. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
