“Tina is great with Alex. She responded to my message quickly. She sent photos of Alex to let me know how he is doing. I will use her service again when I am in the area.”

“Payten was amazing. I will definitely be using her again. It was my baby's first time being with a sitter. He is very reserved and stubborn, but he really warmed up and trusted her. That right there shows me that she is a person to be trusted. She kept me updated regularly, even sending pictures. Thank you Payten!”

“I usually don't leave reviews but I have to this time. Renee is amazing! We found ourselves needing a sitter for our 7 month old Golden Doodle for a week. I had never used the Rover app OR a dog boarding service before. I found Renee using the Star Sitters filter and I am so grateful to her. She was patient with all of my questions (before, during, and after the meeting and greet!) and immediately put my mind at ease. You can tell she has a lot of experience with dogs and has a very calm but assertive demeanor with them that made me confident she could handle our amped up puppy. While we were away she sent us pictures and updates regularly without me asking so I was never worried about how he was. He even made friends at her house to play with! After bringing him home I could tell she kept him on his routine and he is doing great. I can't recommend her enough!”

“Lejune & her husband Michael were extremely friendly & welcoming. I was updated on my Benny’s routine and happenings throughout his stay, along with pictures. As we were leaving, Benny stuck to Lejune & didn’t seem to want to leave! I can tell he was so loved & well taken care of during his overnight stay. Highly recommend & will definitely be using Lejune again!”

“Arlene is a God send!! We had a very bad experience with another Rover and were quite hesitant to trust another, but when we met Arlene it was a match made in heaven. We don’t trust anyone else with our dog. She truly cares about him and he’s ALWAYS excited to see her when we leave town. She really does treat our dog like her own. Arlene is the best!!!”

“She was great with my dog Oreo she sent pictures everyday, to let me know she was fine and kept me updated it was Oreos first sleeping away in the boarding house and I was a lil nervous but Jaclyn made me feel at ease thank you so much. I will definitely bring Oreo back to her”

“Sandra is awesome. Our boston terriers love it here. We've been loyal for 5+ years now with Sandra. Great seeing pictures of their big smiles showing through while on vacation. Gives us plenty of photos/videos every day.”

“Chris and Gerry are so nice, loving, and kind. My girls felt at ease while staying with them. It helps that they only take one client at a time. If you are looking for someone to love your babies like their own, look no further. Definitely book with Chris and Gerry!”

“Ashley has been a wonderful sitter for our golden retriever. She updates you with multiple pictures throughout the day and keeps your dog with lots of company. Would recommend to anyone!”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats. We do tend to spoil them. I have lots of room for them to run and play in our fenced in yard. We walk them on a leash through our nearby cemetery. I currently work part time with Amazon flex. I will always be available if I have any pet jobs as Amazon flex is very flexible. I’m available for home and pet sitting. I have a fenced in back yard and currently own 1 miniature Daschund female 2 years old to help keep your furry friends playing or if needed I can use a crate with permission only.
“Priscila has kept our dog while we were away on several vacations. He is happy and well cared for, and we never worry about him. Her house is truly his home away from home!”

About: I have had dogs all my life but love all animals. I am a mom of 3 girls, 1 dog and 3 chickens. Please let me know of any special requests your pet might need for there stay. I will do my best to make there stay as comfortable as possible so they will love their home away from home. I am a stay at home mom so I can be home with your pup, take them to the park or do pick up and drop offs. My schedule is very flexible. I have a fenced in yard and your pet will never be unattended. There is plenty of room for even the largest dog to run and play.
“Chantal was great to help us out when options where running out to watch Waylon. Chantal sent us pictures of Waylon daily having a good time with her dog and a kids pool. During our time out of state we had no stress/concerns on Waylon's care. We will definitely ask Chantal to care for Waylon in the future. 5 stars for Chantal. Jason & Paula”

“Marne and her family were fantastic with our dog! It was a long stay (2+ weeks), over Christmas, and we missed him a lot. But Marne sent daily updates and silly pictures of how much fun our dog was having with her dog (and how comfy he was stretched out on her couch!) and we were confident he was being well cared for. Santa even left a few surprises for him just as if he were part of the family ❤️ They have a nice yard and clearly spent lots of time playing with the dogs. Thanks for everything, Marne! Would 100% rebook with her!!”

“Matt was super easy to work with and took good care of our Aussie, who was hesitant to leave him when we went to pick her up! It’s so nice to find a dog sitter who works from home like we do. Highly recommend Matt.”

“Fantastic dog sitter! They agreed to help out last minute, which was such a lifesaver, and communication was excellent from start to finish. I always felt updated and reassured throughout the stay, and it was clear my dog was in great hands. Reliable, responsive, and caring. I would absolutely book with them again!”

“Fantastic experience for our first time. Iesha is professional, communicative and Rocko felt at home. He played well with his new brother from another mother and enjoyed a lot of outdoor play in their fenced in yard. We received updates as well as pictures while we were away.. I highly recommend in-home pet sitting with Iesha!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Polktown home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Polktown.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Polktown sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
