“Sarah was amazing! Our dog felt completely at home with her and was loved and spoiled rotten. We received photos and updates throughout the stay which was greatly appreciated. Definitely be using her again!”

“Charlie was an incredible dog sitter for my Boston Terrier, Huckleberry. From the start, he was kind, professional, and accommodating. I appreciated the regular photo updates of Huckleberry enjoying his time, especially at the park! Huckleberry loved hanging out with Charlie's two dogs, who were the perfect playmates. Even when I was late for pickup, Charlie was super understanding and flexible. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches, and I felt completely at ease knowing Huckleberry was in good hands. I highly recommend Charlie and will definitely book him again!”

“Tyson was well taken care of while we were on vacation for a week. Renee sent me photos everyday showing how spoiled he was getting! He had an amazing time and was exhausted after I picked him up. Thank you!”

“Payten was amazing. I will definitely be using her again. It was my baby's first time being with a sitter. He is very reserved and stubborn, but he really warmed up and trusted her. That right there shows me that she is a person to be trusted. She kept me updated regularly, even sending pictures. Thank you Payten!”

“I feel that words are far too limited to express the help and support we received from Ellen during such a difficult time! I had to travel to another continent and left my cat at the Kittie Room in Ellen’s home, and out of the blue, he needed emergency eye surgery. Ellen was constantly present through it all—strong, incredibly supportive, and providing post-surgery care filled with love, dedication, and countless medications like I had never seen before. I thank God every single day that when all this happened, my cat was with Ellen. In such a hard moment, Ellen, you were a true beacon for my family, and I will never forget it. You are a living miracle, moving seamlessly between the world of animals and the world of humans, with pure love and success in both. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!”

“Lejune is northing short of amazing and I would recommend her 100% to anyone looking for someone to care for their fur baby while they are away. Our Tyson is 13 and we wanted him to be in a comforting and nurturing environment while we were away and Lejune and her family provided just that! We received lots of updates and pictures which was very comforting to us. Tyson was definitely treated like part of the family and received some good spoiling while with Lejune and her family and came home a very happy boy!!! Again, thank you to Lejune and her family for taking such good care of Tyson while we were away - he can't wait to come back to see you guys again!!!”

“Melissa and her family were such a great place for Harper. She was able to spend time outside and off leash, as well as cozy up to the boys on the sofa - all of her favorite things.”

“Emily was great and handled our 100 pound Doberman effortlessly. I never felt so comfortable going out of town. Our Doberman Zeus is cautious of new people and immediately loved Emily. She took him on long walks everyday and sent pictures. We will definitely be boarding him again with Emily.”

“Rosa stepped in at the last minute to care for our pup when another Rover sitter had to cancel! Very easy to communicate with. She's a former dog breeder so very experienced with dogs. She took great care of our Aussie.”

“Five stars for the care that Donna and Scott gave our Abu over Christmas! They were so caring and nurturing and cared for Abu like their own. We received lots of cute photos that really put us at ease! Would highly recommend these folks and I would happily use their service again, with Deep appreciation Deb and Drew”

“Shaynna was awesome. She was willing to take Kelce on a last minute basis. She was also able to tell when Kelce was stressed and was able to give her the attention she needed. She gave updates and sent a picture. I will definitely book with Shaynna again when the time comes about.”

“Clover had a great time with Kelsie and her kids. She got to go on some outings, play at the house, and have lots of snuggle time which she loves. I would definitely recommend and would bring Clover back if I was in the area!”

“Adrienne went above and beyond for us during an extended trip, even picking up our custom dog food order when we forgot to leave enough for the pups during their stay. Highly recommend!”

“Terri was absolutely wonderful. She let us do a meet & greet before leaving my pups which really gave me peace of mind. She had a nice & clean environment. Daily reassurance of how they have been doing along with a ton of pictures and to top it of she was so kind to gift them some new toys to keep!”

I have pet sat for many friends and family. “Danny was great. Kept me informed and sent pics of Finn. This was the first time I left Finn for such a long time, but I think I missed him more than he missed me. I will use Danny in the future to take care of Finn.”

“I left my baby girl for a week with John and they were the best. They really took a great care of my baby and gave constant updates with pictures and videos. They answered any questions I had. I could enjoy my vacation cause I could trust them with coco. I would definitely recommend them.”

“I am so very pleased with Cheryl and her furry family. Cheryl was very meticulous about assessing my dogs needs and care right from the start. My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. Cheryl is a very responsible dog owner and it certainly carries into her ability to care for my dog as well. My dog was happy and stress free while in Cheryl's care and I will definitely be using her again! If you're looking for a caretaker that will provide top notch care and treat your furry companion with the love and respect they deserve, then look no further and reach out to Cheryl.”

“Sandra's dog retreat is fabulous. Such a beautiful location, so many things for dogs to explore and enjoy. Sandra is so caring and attentive. Our dog enjoys her visits so much.”

“Amber did a wonderful job with our pets. The cats especially seemed to warm up to her within a day when they normally take several days to warm up to someone. Her communication was great throughout and she left our house spotless. We would definitely have Amber stay with our pets again.”

I currently have 2 cats: 7 year old siblings, Henry & Dinah - also 2 stray kittens dropped off at my old farmhouse.

Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I am currently available full time, Monday-Sunday. I make sure to set aside time for walks, feeding, and playtime with the pets I care for. I prioritize their needs around my other commitments, and I’m always flexible to adjust my schedule to accommodate their care. I am not currently able to have pets in my home, however I can travel to your home if dog sitting or an overnight stay is needed!

About: I have experience, taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens. I am willing to take care of smaller animals, such as hamsters, birds or guinea pigs as well. During the summer, I am home most days of the week. I am a full time teacher so I am off during the summer. Therefore I am very reliable and flexible with times. I have a fenced in yard that’s big enough for dogs to get some exercise. I have two kids who enjoy seeing and meeting new animals.
About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. We also have several large fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Safety is always my top priority, and dogs are supervised during outdoor time to make sure everyone stays happy and secure
“Nadia took the time to get to know me and Walter's needs, before just accepting any offer! I was greeted with smiling faces (her and her 3 kids), and right away Walter was home away from hom! During his time there he also became besties with their family dog and really enjoyed how much attention they gave him. He came back to me completely pooped and I appreciate Nadia's attentiveness to Walter !”

About: I have about 11 years of experience caring for dogs. From working at a doggie daycare, to an animal hospital Ive always found myself caring for other people’s pets. I have been relied on by clients, neighbors, friends and family to take full care & responsibly over their pets. I make sure their pets are happy and comfortable while updating the owners with daily photos! While working in the daycare I got a lot of experience in supervising and caring for multiple dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being, managing playgroups, and cleaning. For working in the vet med side of things I have experience assisting veterinarians and technicians, handling animals for examinations and treatments, administering medications, and providing post-operative care. Along with the broad range of pet-sitting duties, such as feeding, walking, grooming, and providing companionship for various types of animals in different settings. My day starts super early usually with the sound of tiny paws scampering around- that’s my puppy! Pringle. We do many little walks through out the day and our evenings are dedicated to his training, playtime, long walks and cuddles. I prioritize every pets safety by hazard-proofing the environment and meeting their exact needs to make sure they’re comfortable with me and happy in the environment.

About: I am currently doing Rover part-time, I’m also working 2 other part-time jobs, however, for one of them I get to choose my own schedule. If given enough notice (usually a week) I can take off the days you’d need from one of my jobs, and then just schedule my other around it! I’ve had and taken care of dogs/cats since a young age. I love all animals and caring for them! Ive taken 2 pre-vet classes and would love to have a job working with animals full-time, no matter the job! “My dog loves to stay at Danny's house. This has been such a help since my doggy day care closed. Keeps me informed and sends pictures. I'd recommend him as an excellent care giver.”

“Tux has always been anxious when left behind, but did very well with Emily all day. She was very attentive to his needs and he got along well with her other daycare pup. She sent numerous pictures and answered my texts right away when I checked in on him. She asked permission to take him on a short ride in her car, which I granted since he loves car rides and hates being left behind. I will definitely book with her again. Thanks, Emily, for taking such great care of our boy.”

“We were so lucky to have Ellen watch our dog, Ziva! She has separation anxiety, and we were nervous about leaving her with someone new in a new environment. Ellen was so reassuring from the start, promising to take good care of her. And she absolutely did. Her sweet dog, Cleopatra, was so friendly and helped Ziva feel comfortable right away. Our first impression was unforgettable- Ziva followed Ellen, which is rare for her with someone she doesn’t know. Ellen took extra care to comfort Ziva when she was anxious and sent us picture updates that really put our minds at ease. Because of Ellen, we were able to enjoy our event without constantly checking our phones. This was such a relief, especially since we’ve had a bad experience with a previous sitter who never sent updates. Ellen went above and beyond, and we could truly feel the difference in Ziva’s comfort. We will definitely be using her services again. Thank you, Ellen, for caring for Ziva like she was your own!”

“Arlene welcomed us into her lovely home and we immediately sensed that Sky was in a safe and loving place. It was evident throughout our contacts during the day that Sky was content and receiving good care. We highly recommend Arlene’s services for doggie daycare and will use her again when visiting the New Bern area.”

“Cheryl made me feel at ease about leaving my very anxious baby. Her system to introducing the dogs really put my mind at ease, and she sent me pictures while we were out to let me know my pup was okay. I would recommend her. Thank you Cheryl!”

About: I've been surrounded by animals, in particular cats, my entire life. At one point, we had a household full of animals ranging from a rambuctious German Shepherd to a teeny tiny Leopard Gecko and Corn Snake. We've had pets for a long time, and they always gave us structure. They are and have always been a part of our family, and we tend to take care more of them than ourselves. I live in an apartment now, but I am willing to come to the owner's home for daily walks, pet/house sitting if they're at work or on vacation, play with the animals and give them exercise, and also available to stay overnight if needed.

About: I LOVE DOGS!! What more can I say? I have had dogs in my family, of my own and taken care of family dogs practically since I was born. I've been around dogs of all shapes and sizes and love all of them, no matter what! Sometimes I like to think of myself as a dog whisperer: I can get along with all dogs and read what they need or want. I'm also great at helping dogs to heal or get over their fears! I especially love giving and receiving loves (hugs, kisses and lots of cuddles and petting)! Give me your doggie babies! :D I would love to take care of them!

I grew up in a home with pets throughout my childhood—including 4 dogs (labs and pointers), 6 cats, and 10 bunnies—so caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely love making animals feel safe, happy, and cared for. I recently started a full-time role, but the great news is I only work three days a week! That means I still have plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends for drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting. I'm happy to work with your schedule and provide consistent care for your pets while you're away or at work. Feel free to reach out with any questions or requests—I’d love to help! I take safety and trust seriously and always aim to make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I care for pets in their own home to help maintain their routine and comfort, which I know is especially important for animals who may get anxious in unfamiliar environments. I follow all instructions carefully—whether it's feeding schedules, medication, walking routes, or playtime preferences—and I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and happy while you're away. I treat every pet like my own and every home with the utmost respect, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. You can feel confident that your furry friend is in caring, trustworthy hands.
About: I grew up caring, training and assisting in raising German Shepherds since I was 5 yrs old. I trained my first German Shepherd at age 11 and placed second in obedience and showmanship competition. Have also grown up with having a cat. Been in charge of taking care of neighbors dogs, cats, horses and cows since I was 12. Throughout the years I have taken care of dogs from birth to elderly. I also have one year of experience working at a vet clinic and have been a certified barn manager (I didn't pay to renew my certification). Thus, I am familiar with various care and prevention strategies for all kinds of animals. I am currently an occupational therapist; thus, I am mainly available on the weekends with a semi-flexible schedule. Reach out to me and we will discuss the details and see if there is something that can work for both of us. If I am unavailable for the weekend, I try to have it updated on my calendar. In taking dogs on walks I am careful to avoid walking near other dogs and observe surroundings that may cause an issue. I also pay attention to behavior factors such if the dog is showing beginning signs of getting hot or tired.

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and my experience is mostly centered around dogs. At one point, I had five dogs of my own, but currently, I’m lucky to have two. While dogs are my main focus, I’ve also had the pleasure of caring for cats, horses, birds, reptiles, and smaller mammals like bunnies. No matter the pet, I treat each one with the same love and attention, ensuring they get the best care possible. You can trust that I’ll treat your furbabies as if they were my own! I work from home, so I’m usually available throughout the week and most weekends, making me super flexible for drop-ins and walks! While I can sometimes accommodate daytime requests, I generally prefer to schedule walks and visits after 4 p.m. once my workday is wrapped up. I’m happy to work with your pet’s schedule and provide them with the care and attention they deserve! When I take your dog on a walk or visit your pet, I treat them like they're my own. I make sure walks are fun and tailored to their energy level, whether it’s a relaxing stroll or a more energetic outing. I keep a close eye on them to ensure they’re comfortable and safe the entire time. During drop-ins, I’ll give them lots of love, playtime, and bathroom breaks, and make sure they have fresh water. I’ll keep you updated with tons of photos, so you can see how much fun they’re having and know they’re in good hands! Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thank you!”

“Terri was absolutely wonderful. She let us do a meet & greet before leaving my pups which really gave me peace of mind. She had a nice & clean environment. Daily reassurance of how they have been doing along with a ton of pictures and to top it of she was so kind to gift them some new toys to keep!”

“Danny was great. Kept me informed and sent pics of Finn. This was the first time I left Finn for such a long time, but I think I missed him more than he missed me. I will use Danny in the future to take care of Finn.”

“Megan took such great care of our dog! She kept us updated with photos throughout our stay and we could see how happy our pup was. Her kids were also so incredibly sweet and gentle with her! Definitely recommend and will absolutely be rebooking when we’re in need of a sitter in this area!”

“Diana was awesome and did so well with our Hank! We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for dog sitting services. She treated our dog like he was her own. We will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

About: I grew up in a dog-loving home—there was never a time we didn’t have a furry friend in the family. Since my very first pet, I’ve enjoyed caring for animals. Now as an adult, I have a dog and a cat of my own. My pup is a high-energy guy that I’ve raised since he was a puppy. We went through all the training together—lots of patience, consistency, and treats!—and now he’s a well-behaved, happy companion who keeps me on my toes. My cat is curious and full of personality, always finding new spots to nap and new ways to charm everyone. Fun Facts Just About Me: I moved to Hagerstown with my husband, 2 dogs and cat a few years ago. My husband and I recently got married in May 2026. I play adult softball and kickball. I love to be outside whether it's walking the dogs, attempting to garden or being on the water. Since I work from home, I’m lucky to spend lots of quality time with my pets throughout the day, and I’d love to extend that care and attention to your furry family members too. Whether it’s going for walks, sticking to a feeding routine, or just offering companionship, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and right at home. When caring for pets, whether in my home or yours, safety and trust are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm, secure environment with a fully fenced yard that offers plenty of room for pets to run and play safely. We also have sidewalks throughout the neighborhood perfect for walks, a puppy play pen for supervised fun, and plenty of space to crate pets comfortably if needed. All areas are pet-proofed to prevent accidents, and I carefully manage food, toys, and any medications. When visiting a client’s home, I follow their routines closely to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. I make sure doors and gates are secure, hazardous items are out of reach, and I maintain open communication with owners about any special needs or behaviors. Building trust with pets and their families is important to me, so I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs.
“Satsuki was amazing. She watched our 5-month-old husky overnight last minute and made our first boarding experience completely stress-free. She sent photo updates, communicated clearly, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our pup was well cared for. We felt totally comfortable leaving him with her and would absolutely book again. 10/10 recommend.”

“Annette is truly an amazing dog host. She knows animal behavior so well. Her own pets are wonderful and our dog loved visiting as a guest. She is an expert with regard to introducing pets to one another. I wish he could go on a mini-vacation once a week!”

“Jessica was amazing. Took such good care of our two dogs and has expertise in grooming! I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs with her and she made sure to update me everyday which made me feel better. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone!”
