About: With 20 years of experience caring for dogs, including senior dogs, I provide a warm and loving environment right from my home. I can expertly administer any needed medication, so you can relax knowing your furry friend is in great hands. Let’s keep your pup, no matter their age, happy and healthy together! I live on 5 acres of land, and pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I start each day by feeding and walking my pets, allowing them space to explore. Since I work from home, I can spend quality time with them, playing and training throughout the day. I check on their health regularly, which includes grooming and giving any needed medication. On weekends, I take them on adventures around our land. Pet care brings joy and structure to my life! I care for pets in both my home and my clients' homes by providing a safe and loving environment. In my home, I have a friendly 18-year-old Australian Shepherd who helps create a welcoming atmosphere for other pets. I ensure they have plenty of space to play and explore, while also maintaining a clean and comfortable area for resting. I follow their routines closely, including feeding times, walks, and play sessions. At a client's home, I respect their space and follow any specific instructions or routines the pet is used to. I make sure the environment is safe by removing any hazards. I also give them regular check-ins to ensure they are happy and healthy, and I am always available for cuddles and attention!
“Effie was responsive and it worked out great to have my dog spend the day with her, even though I asked only the night before. I was able to go kayaking with peace of mind and I knew Ruby was enjoying herself. She was relaxed when I picked her up and I can tell she had fun! Thank you Effie!”

“We are so grateful for Jane’s care of Teddy while we were on vacation in NH. On our second day of day care, Teddy walked right into her house without hesitating, showing us he already felt at home. We appreciated the pictures and updates and would not hesitate to book Jane again!”

“Kim came to pick Numbers up from my wedding and helped her stay still in photos. I was thrilled to send the dog with her because I knew she would be safe and well cared for. When we came to pick her up the next morning was happy and even a little tired from playing.”

About: Hello! I'm Holly Heath, and I've been a dog lover my whole life. From caring for my own 12 year old pup to providing daycare and boarding for friends and family, dogs have always been a huge part of my world. I started young, walking a big Akita when I was just 12, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve dog sat for a household with six pups, taken a hyper Great Dane puppy on mini adventures, and worked as a dog walker with Homeward Bound Pet Services for two years. I even had a small handmade dog toy business at one point! I’m a total dog person! I love spending time with dogs in a calm, gentle way, and I’m fluent in dog body language. All dogs are my instant friends. These days, I’m offering frequent short walks with laps around the yard if needed and relaxing yard hangouts at my home. I offer daycare and can board up to two dogs at a time. I'm all about making dogs feel safe, happy, and loved. I currently work part-time as a dog walker, so I just need a two-week heads up to request time off. Once that's set, all my focus is on your pup, and I’ll be home with them 100% of the day! There will be plenty of playtime and walks as needed through my beautiful yard. I have a large yard with open lawns, gardens, wooded paths, and a babbling brook. Your dog will always be on a leash while exploring, but they'll still get to enjoy peaceful walks and all the wildlife smells. Inside, there are plenty of toys to choose from and cozy spots to lounge. It's nice and cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. I will have a maximum of three dogs in my home at a time, including my own dog, Rosko. Rosko gets excited when he first meets a new pup but quickly settles into his normal self, a calm, smart, 12-year-old mutt who weighs about 25 pounds. He loves to share his toys, watch other dogs play, and relax with a buddy. He’s very respectful and enjoys simply sitting next to other dogs. He’s also great at reading dog body language. I will follow your instructions closely and provide the best, most attentive care possible.
“Our pup had the best time with Greta!! She came home super tired and happy :) Greta was great with communication and kept us updated with pictures and videos throughout the day. Will definitely book again!”

“Great experience with Maddy and Alison! They took great care of Abbi (English Cream Golden) and they were very responsive. Maddy and Alison have 3 other dogs (two Golden's and a Great Dane pup who is a sweetheart) - all the dogs got along great. We received regular update and pictures. Will plan on coming back when it's needed. Thanks again!!”

“As soon as you meet her there's a sense of relief and you understand that your dog is in great hands by someone who truly loves them and takes care of them as her own ! ??”

About: I’ve taken care of my family dog for 6+ years who is an adorable, overweight lab. Additionally, I’ve been a nanny for 10+ years and always love watching the pets during the job. I’m currently enrolled in school full time but it is online so my schedule is fairly open right now. I also accept last minute bookings. I cannot watch pets in my apartment because they are not allowed but I do have lots of walking trails at my place that would be great for dogs!
About: I have been caring for unwanted and wayward animals for 30 years. All of our pets have been adopted as strays, from shelters or rehoming. Now, I bring these years of experience and love to your furry family members. With a team of of veterinary providers, groomers and emergency contacts in place, you can rest assured that your pets will receive the best possible attention and care. Because I much prefer to care for animals than greet customers at a WalMart, I joined Rover as my retirement job :) It's a great way to pursue my love for dogs and cats. l'm almost always available with a little notice. My home is open to your dog. Jump up on the couch, sleep on the bed, no problem unless you prefer a more structured environment and routine. Your dog will be one of the family here and will have company most all of the time. I also offer a very nice space for cats or for dogs that do not get along well with others. Not a cage or kennel but a finished 20x20 heated and furnished room in my barn loft where we can play and visit one on one.
“Alina was so fantastic! We spent a few minutes introducing our dogs on drop off. Then I was off and Daisy was taken on an awesome adventure walking all around Portsmouth. By the time I picked her up, Daisy, normally full of energy, had clearly had a good time and was ready for a nap, a rare sight.”

About: I have a friendly, well-trained senior golden retriever who gets along great with other pets and kids. I don’t crate unless requested and use positive, consistent techniques. Working fully remote gives me the flexibility to give your pup plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I work fully remote with a flexible schedule, which means I’m able to give your pup plenty of attention throughout the day. We usually get outside for daily walks and stretch breaks to keep them happy and active. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important trust is when it comes to your pup. I always follow your preferences closely and strive to create a safe, calm environment where your dog feels at home. Whether it’s cuddles on the couch or structured routines, I adjust to what makes them feel most secure.
“Suzanne is professional and friendly. She immediately put me at ease and made me feel confident about leaving our dog in her care. When I picked him up, he was happy and exhausted from playing. I'll definitely book Suzanne again.”
