About: I would LOVE to care for your pets and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away! ☺️ I welcome cats and other small pets for overnight stays in my home, offer doggy day care, and am available for dog walks and drop-in visits. I’m also open to caring for a wider variety of animals during drop-ins, including bunnies, fish, chickens, goats, horses, and other animals with straightforward care needs. My husband and I live on 20 acres of land with our sweet dog Miso, our loving cat Yoshi, and our ten chickens. I’m currently on a corporate work break, so I have lots of flexibility throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, and my husband also works from home. I have had a heart for animals my entire life and have cared for all kinds of pets, including cats, dogs, fish, ducks, and chickens. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I have experience caring for friends’ and neighbors’ pets, as well as watching over homes, and I always treat every pet and property with the same respect and care I would want for my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and a great communicator, and I love sending photo updates so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. Whether your pet loves playtime, walks, cuddles, exploring, or simply having a calm place to relax, I’m happy to follow their routine and meet their individual needs. For pets staying with me, I offer a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment where they can feel cared for like part of the family. I’d be so happy to help give your pet a loving, safe, and stress-free experience! I am currently taking a corporate career break so my schedule is flexible to spend all day engaging with pet(s)! For boarding and doggy day care my husband will also be able to engage with your pet(s) all day as he works from home. My home is a safe, clean, and comfortable place for pets to relax and feel cared for. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding instructions, potty breaks, playtime, quiet time, or any special rules that help them feel secure. I treat every pet like family and make safety, comfort, and communication my top priorities.
“Isabelle and Fred were both great taking care of my best friend. My dog got along perfectly with their dogs and I feel they were very thoughtful of how she might miss her human father. I highly recommend them.”

“Georgia’s home was a fantastic home for my dog to have fun and be safe in! He played well with her dogs and was super easy to communicate with! Will definitely be boarding with her more often!”

“I can’t say enough about Carolyn! We decided to try Rover for the first time during a multi-day road trip to Idaho. We needed care for our dog for two days so we could go to Silverwood. Carolyn came highly recommended, and she was amazing. Her energy was so warm, our dog instantly loved her and so did my kids! She sent us pictures and updates on Mochi throughout the day, and we could tell Mochi was happy there by how excited he was to see her the next day. We would definitely book with her again if we return to Coeur D’Alene!”

About: I discovered my love for animals when my mom rescued a Shiba Inu shortly after my dad died. Since then, I've made every effort to learn as much as I can about cats and dogs, including going to professional grooming school and I'm currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. Most of my experience with cats has come from my sister and her roommate, but I love cats just as much as I love dogs I do have another part time job, but scheduling is flexible so I'll have plenty of time in the day to check on your buddy! I'm very conscious of their safety and always use a leash, always make sure fenced areas are secure, and that there's no toxic plants around them. My own have a history of bolting/running away, so these things have become 2nd nature for me.

“We are from Seattle area so of course finding a sitter for our two dogs was a little hard for us. After going through many suggestions and profiles we found Justin. When we showed up to his place he took the time to get to know the dogs and showed us where they would be and his yard. They immediately took to him and couldn’t be happier. He wore out two high energy silver labs and sent us updates of how they were doing. Even on the second day when we dropped them off instead of chasing a squirrel they instantly went to Justin for another fun day. If you are ever in the area and need a sitter we definitely recommend Justin to take care of your fur babies and keep them happy.”

About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and have always considered my dogs part of the family. While I’m new to professional dog walking, I have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, understanding their individual personalities, and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. My Boston Terrier, Daisy, was the love of my life. We were lucky enough to have 10 wonderful years together, and she taught me just how special the bond between a person and their dog can be. Because of her, I understand that trusting someone with your dog means trusting them with a very important member of your family. I’m dependable, attentive, patient, and genuinely excited to spend time with dogs. I’ll take the time to get to know your pup, learn their routines and preferences, and make sure they receive the same love and attention I would want for my own dog. Whether your dog needs a leisurely walk, some playtime, companionship, or simply someone who will give them lots of attention while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets the time and attention they deserve. I’m able to work pet care into my daily routine and can be flexible with walks, drop-in visits, and pet-sitting needs. I’m dependable and like to plan ahead, so I’ll make sure your pet’s routine is followed as closely as possible. I’m also happy to accommodate their individual feeding, walking, playtime, and medication routines when needed. I know pets feel most comfortable when their normal routine stays consistent, so my goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pet! When caring for pets in their home, I treat both their pets and their home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications, and any special instructions. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality and comfort level. Some pets want lots of attention and playtime, while others need a little more space and patience. I never want a pet to feel rushed or uncomfortable, so I let them set the pace while making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages during visits so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and doing well. I’ll leave your home clean and tidy and make sure everything is just as I found it when I leave.
“Hannah is our favorite!! She always keeps us updated, she sends fun pics of the pups playing. We consistently bring our pup to Hannah’s house and he LOVES it. Would give 10 stars if I could.”

About: I have cared, worked and trained with countless dogs over the last six years, loving every single minute of it. Early in my journey, a mentor shared a piece of wisdom that forever shaped my philosophy: "An animal trained with a focus on compliance through force or fear will always run into something or someone that creates more fear than you can match. But if you train based on a relationship of fair boundaries, kindness, and reliability, something incredible happens. When that dog runs into a terrifying situation, they won't run away. They will run to you because you are their safety and their home." - Terra Ruiz. This is the foundation of everything I do. I grew up surrounded by multiple Standard Poodles and later spent time working with horses, which deeply shaped my understanding of animal behavior and the subtle dynamics of pressure-and-release. More recently I've volunteered and worked along side sertch and rescue K9 handlers continuing my learning. My goal is to help you have the best care possible for your pet and build and keep an unshakeable bond with your pet, rooted in mutual trust rather than constant micromanagement. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, from early morning visits and midday walks to evening check-ins and extended stays. I'm happy to work with your schedule and your pet's routine to provide consistent, dependable care when you need it most! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and trust are my priorities. With six years of professional animal care and training experience, I’m attentive to body language, safe handling, and each pet’s individual needs. I follow your care instructions, respect your home and your pet’s boundaries, and provide updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.

“Our pup stayed overnight and had a great time! We received photos, videos and updates on our doggo throughout the day. When we dropped him off he was excited & upon picking him up he was playing. We will be back!”

“Alexis is very sweet and definitely an animal lover! She took great care of our two German Shepherds and was flexible with the pick up time, would definitely use her again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Plummer commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
