About: I’m from the Seattle area and I’ve been with Rover since 2018. In 2020 I got married to Micaiah my husband. When we married we added an additional cat to the family that belonged to him. So we have 4 cats. Before Rover I volunteered at PetsMart with Purrfect pals. One day a week I would help with cleaning, playing, and as a team member I helped cats find a furrrever home. My first cat in my life was when I was 8. I have always enjoyed pets and nature. So I decided to combine walking and dogs. Walks in the park or just around the block. I try my best to fit in the schedule my clients want for their pets. Only days I need off for two hours are Sunday and Thursday. About: I carry a business insurance policy for petcare. My first job was a at a doggy daycare/ boarding facility but I have been pet sitting since I was 12. I’ve worked with puppies all the way through seniors receiving cancer treatment. I have a playful golden retriever who adores all animals big and small. I have experience bathing and giving insulin to cats too. I volunteered at a rescue ranch for a number of years and have experience with livestock. I personally have ducks, chickens, reptiles and a senior cat as companions for my golden. I am currently working 3 days a week for a tax office and am unavailable from January to April. On my off days I hike and take my golden to the river. I have a contract that I have been using since 2010 that outlines my safety procedures. When I am in a clients home I always have them review it and do a walk around of the home with them. From my years at doggy daycare I am pretty familiar with certain breed characteristics like the awesome heights husky’s can jump or the tunneling ability of a weenie. I also am very understanding about separation anxiety as someone who has worked at rescues. For walks I require a harness or collar the dog cannot slip out of. I require an in person meeting beforehand, if doggy play dates with my dog are requested we must meet on neutral ground first to see how they interact.

“We had never left Finn with anyone before and were nervous about doing so. However, my husband’s dad passed away and we needed to have someone care for Finn during the funeral. I found Kelly and Tyler and thought they sounded like a good fit with their dog experience, fenced acre, four children and their seemingly sweet pup daisy. Finn loves other dogs and people especially kids. We booked four hours the day before the funeral so we could make sure it would work. Tyler (TJ) met us and just couldn’t have made us feel more that Finn was in good hands. Their pup Daisy indeed is a little sweetie and Finn loved her. They were watching another Lab the same day and TJ had kept him inside to introduce Finn to Daisy first. He brought Doc out and he and Finn were instant friends. I don’t think Finn was ever aware that we left or were gone. We felt so comfortable leaving him. Kelly sent us a video update and Finn looked like he was having the time of his life. We picked up Finn with Kelly there to greet us and she just couldn’t be any nicer or sweet. We felt like we have struck gold with these two. The next day drop off was easy peasy as Finn was excited at just the mention of Daisy’s name (I think it’s puppy love). We were able to concentrate on the memorial service and not worry a bit about Finn. Kelly and Tyler were truly a God send! We are sure of that! We highly recommend them and Finn will be back for sure. Thank you so much Kelly and TJ for your kindness and for taking such great care of Finn!!”

About: I discovered my love for animals when my mom rescued a Shiba Inu shortly after my dad died. Since then, I've made every effort to learn as much as I can about cats and dogs, including going to professional grooming school and I'm currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. Most of my experience with cats has come from my sister and her roommate, but I love cats just as much as I love dogs I do have another part time job, but scheduling is flexible so I'll have plenty of time in the day to check on your buddy! I'm very conscious of their safety and always use a leash, always make sure fenced areas are secure, and that there's no toxic plants around them. My own have a history of bolting/running away, so these things have become 2nd nature for me.

I tend to live an active lifestyle and that means hiking/walking/and lots of exercise. Rest assured both me and your pooch will be getting a good workout! In the past I've facilitated overnight lodging for dogs, and temporary stays of up to a few days. Be noted I do not currently have a large open or fenced in yard. Ensuring door remain locked when inside and timer's are set for when pets receive food upon client preference. I will send regular check in photos to provide accountability for myself and the clients well being.

“We dropped off Ziggy for the weekend after a visit to the vet where we left with four medications, a cone and a bloody paw. Philip didn't flinch. (He was two minutes from where I was visiting my mom, so we could have been there if anything had come up.) We didn't get a lot of updates, but we came back to a dog who seemed happy, and better yet, hadn't been chewing on his paw. Highly recommend.”
