“Kimberly was absolutely amazing , gave me constant updates of my boy and pictures and made him feel at home . By far the best person you can have watch your animal while you’re gone . God bless”

“Michael was a wonderful sitter for our Billie Jean. He is a great communicator who cared about keeping her both safe AND happy. She had a wonderful time. I highly recommend!!”

“Our two pups just completed their first stay with Deidre and we couldn’t be happier on the care they received and the communication she had with us. We hope that she will have the availability to care from them in the near future but anticipate that she will grow in popularity due to her 1st class service!”

“Pamela was amazing with our dog Jasper, she exceeded any expectations we had. Her daily photos and communications were wonderful as well as her flexibility on drop off and pick up times. I could see by the photos that Jasper enjoyed his time with her pups and I felt he was safe and secure with her. She has a beautiful home and fenced yard providing a very loving environment. Jasper was very well cared for. We had him stay with her during the 4th of July, I had calming meds on hand as the noise from fireworks can make him so nervous. Pamela gave him the meds and he was a champ, she updated me to let me know he did very well. I would highly recommend Pamela for anyone seeking exceptional care for their pet. I will most certainly use her again. Thank you so much Pamela, We are so happy we found you on Rover!”

“Desiree and her family provided great care for our 2 year old Havapoo during a week stay. She got lots of playtime in the fenced back yard with other dogs and plenty of cuddles. We appreciated daily pictures and videos during her stay. She often won’t eat when apart from us, but she did for Desiree. We would definitely book with Desiree again.”

“Leaving my girls is always nerve racking but Jordyn was so great with them. She asked all the right questions about their care and updated us on how they were doing. When we picked them up, she was so polite and thanked us for leaving them in her care. She is a sweetheart.”

“Marlena and her family were loving, caring, and communicative during my dogs stay. They sent lots of photos, handled his food aggression with other dogs perfectly, and even helped with training during his stay! He stayed over the holidays so they let him open his presents as well. They truly love and care for animals and have training and experience to do so. I would highly recommend them!”

“Wonderful as always! I’m so grateful for Lauren’s flexibility and the amazing care she gives my pup. My work schedule is pretty unpredictable, and she’s consistently dependable and accommodating with any requests I’ve had. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing Jess is in such good hands.”

“Sheena took great care of our dog, who stayed with her for over two weeks! You can tell she genuinely cares. She sent daily photos with updates, which we really appreciated. Our dog came home healthy and happy. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Yvonne was absolutely amazing with our high-energy lab pup, Bailey. She had so much patience and understanding, and many skills to help make for a positive and comforting stay for Bailey. I highly recommend for not only boarding but any training needs. Will be using Yvonne for all of our future boarding and training needs!”

“As usual Jennifer was fantastic with my dogs. One of my dogs Lucy was having some heat exhaustion problems or potentially from a seed that was caught in her throat (strange constant licking and vomiting for first hour and a half that resulted in me calling vets while at Jennifer's house). That resulted in her needing some extra attention and Jennifer did everything should possibly could to ensure she was comfortable and well taken care of with plenty of updates! My other dog, being the doofus he is, was just having a good time as always!”

“I will definitely have Rachel take care of my dogs again. She has a great place for my Golden and Shepard to run and play. Rachel is kind, flexible and a good fit for my pups.”

“We had a great experience! Pick up and drop off were easy and convenient, and Colin communicated well throughout the stay. It made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I would happily book with him again!”

About: I have a mastiff pupper that is 6 years old who is a big cuddly baby. He is a male named Apollo. I grew up with animals and I have a love for them. I will treat your fur babies as my own. They will get a lot of love and attention and exercise. My dog plays well with other dogs but Apollo can be a little iffy when it comes to big males since he is not fixed! So a meet and greet is a must! I also can keep them separated if need be! If your doggo or mine needs some relaxing time or time to themselves I can have them be separated! My dog loves playing with new friends who love to play or relax! I’m a stay at home mom. So I have a lot of time to give your pup lots of love and attention! My dog and sons would love to play with your pup! I have a fenced yard for your pup to play out in with my dog and to also use the bathroom! I have a huge crate too just incase your pup needs some time by themselves or mine does! I can also separate them in the house or outside if they want to be away from my dog!
“First time using Rover. Molly, her pups and home environment were very welcoming. My old dog has an expensive dislike to the crowded and noisy concrete boarding facilities. She seemed to enjoy staying in a quiet home like setting with a great backyard and a calming human. I will definitely use Molly again. Convenient and quick drop off and pick up. Thank you!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Plumb
Very attentive and responsive. Good communication and accomodating. Took great care of our elderly dog who has a few medical needs for 3 full weeks on a last minute reservation. The long term dog sitting at last minutes notice was much appreciated. Was able to reliably give our dog daily eye drops and often baths. Sent daily pictures and updates. Dressed our dog up for Halloween haha. Would recommend 10/10.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Plumb home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Plumb.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Plumb sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
