“It was our first time leaving our animals and she made sure we were comfortable doing so. She is super sweet and its a plus that she's a vet tech in training since one of our animals has to have meds 2x a day. If we go out of town again we are definitely booking with her again!”

“Morgan was absolutely wonderful! This was my first time using Rover and I’m very impressed. Worked amazing around my hectic schedule as well. Will be keeping Morgan for the future! Thank you so much :)”

About: I own a dog myself and have raised her and trained her on my own since I was 14. I love being surrounded by all types of dogs and their own little personalities. I’m a college student, so with the summer starting I want to dedicate my time spending it with dogs! I enjoy taking them on walks to give both of us some exercise! I care for my own dog by prioritizing activness. She loves to go outside, with our fenched in backyard, and we play with a ball. I also love taking her for walks. But outside time isn’t always available, so I like to teach her new tricks or (gently) play with a toy inside. I think it’s also important to prioritize their health, making sure they eat and drink plenty of water.

About: I have professional work experience taking care of clients’ animals! I have worked with pets of all kinds, and I always love meeting new animals! I am a full time student, but my classwork is fully online. Over the summer, I will have lots of free time to dedicate to caring for pets! I know exactly how important pets are to their families, and I am dedicated to providing the same level of care I would for my own pets. I want to make sure all pets are able to get the care and love they deserve!
About: An absolute dog lover, that has owned a variety of breeds, from toy to giant breeds. They all have their own special needs! Excited to have the opportunity to help support your family. I am a high school teacher and coach, so I have time during breaks to get out and help families with their dogs. My goal is to create a somewhat routine with the families and dogs that I’m able to watch and help. “Lydia was amazing with my pups! She even managed to tire out my Goldendoodle, which I didn't think was possible. They were happy, well cared for, and I had complete peace of mind while I was away. I'll definitely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Cameron took great care of my cat while I was out of town! I had scheduled drop in visits and she made sure he had food, water and treats and she spent a good amount of time just loving on him! She sent lots of pictures and I could see he was happy and content while I was away. Thank you, Cameron!”

“Yvette was AWESOME with my two cats. She was thorough and did great giving my senior cat his medication even when he was being stubborn and spent the remaining time playing with the kitten and wearing her out.”
“Haley was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of our animals while we were away and was very responsive and extremely helpful. Titus and Turbo were both very well cared for and it gave us great comfort and peace of mind knowing that they were in good hands :)”

About: Hi! I currently work at a dog boarding/daycare facility, so I am experienced in the care and safety of pets! I own 6 pets at home, and I have always had many pets growing up. I wish to become a zoologist someday so I can create conservation acts to save animals. I am here to ensure your pet is cared for! I usually work around 4 days a week for my job and I have 6 hour shifts. If I were to house sit for your pets I would have plenty of time in the morning and afternoon to make sure your pets are fed, let out, and played with! Making sure pets are provided with their needs is important to me! Working at a dog boarding facility provides me with many opportunities to care for varying types of dog behaviors! I have had to help dogs with anxiety, aggression, and possession. I have greatly improved my skills to ensure dogs are safe and comfortable in my care.
“We had a very last minute need for someone to help with our dogs. Carly responded to me within minutes! This was our first time using Rover and we will definitely book with Carly again!”

About: I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, small pets, and some small farm animals. This diverse background has taught me how to recognize different needs, behaviors, and personalities, allowing me to provide attentive and individualized care. I will focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment while maintaining each pet’s normal routine. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, feeding, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I will treat every animal as if they were my own and will keep pet owners updated so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands. I'm currently looking to do pet care after work, and on the weekends with my kids. During the week I am looking for late afternoon to early evening opportunities, from about 2:30pm-4:30pm or a little later. On the weekends, however, I am open to mostly any day/times needed. During the week I can offer quick stop ins or walks after work. On the weekends I will typically have my kids with me, and we can give your animals more attention, and for longer periods of time! I can't wait to meet your babies!

I really appreciate Aliceyns help taking care of our Turkeys while I was catching up with a friend from out of town. There aren't many I trust with taking care of them while I'm away and she gave me peace of mind so I could focus on having a good time. We'll be requesting Aliceyn in the future. Thanks!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
