About: I've been studying dog behavior for over 9 years. I also have experience as a veterinary receptionist and grooming assistant. I train pet dogs on good behavior as well as rehabilitation for fearful or aggressive dogs. Safety is my #1 concern. Every dog that comes into my home is treated like family, as I do my own dogs. I am blessed with a large house that has a separate living quarters for the boarding dogs and a big beautiful fenced yard. Both are kept clean and hazard free. I would love to host your dog and make sure you are worry free while you're away! I work with dogs as a career and am home full time. I have a daily routine that changes depending on what dogs I have. Each dog gets fed once or twice, a day depending on owner preference. For medical or dietary reasons feeding can me more or less frequent. Any medications needed will be given. Each dog gets back yard exercise daily. Of course they get plenty of love! 🐾 Saftey and cleanliness are my top concerns. My home is clean and hazard free. I am "puppy proof" and always vigilant. I have accommodations and experience working with aggressive or reactive dogs and can also accommodate/work with kennel anxitey. I am able to keep dogs separate from my personal dogs if needed. Dogs that are friendly will be able to socialize/play with my very well tempered pack, depending on owner preference. I have a fenced yard and there are no gaps or ways to get out. I can also accommodate jumpers using a long recall leash!
“Jessica and Christian take care of my rescue, Marshall, as if he was their own “child.” I’ve boarded him with them as long as 5 days, and he always consistently receives the kind of loving care that I give him myself. Jessica and Christian not only GIVE care, they DO care. I appreciate their assistance, and readily recommend them!”

About: ** I took some time off of Rover and I am back with a limited schedule due to work hours** I am an avid dog lover and dog mom to 2 pups. Most of my life has revolved around dogs and I wouldn’t want it any other way! At a young age, I was trusted by all of the nieghbors to dog sit. After college, I was fortunate enough to foster a few rescues from a local humane society. Fostering dogs was a very rewarding experience as it gave me my 2 babies, Milo and Bear. Unfortunately, Bear and Milo have now passed and I miss them terribly everyday. I currently have a Doberman named Ambrose and an Australian Shepard named Max. They are a bonded pair and have so much energy! I have experience with very large dogs and puppies as young as 2 months old— but I am comfortable with all breeds! I am available for dog walking, house sitting, and drop-in visits. If you would like me to board your dog in my home, I welcome that as well! As long as they are dog friendly; my pups would love a new friend 😊 During the day on weekdays I work a full-time hybird job with flexibility. My in office days are Monday and Tuesday so usually unavailable those days. I am free for walks/drop ins during the week/weekend as well as house sitting. I am a very active person alone and with my own dogs. They get walks 1-2x per day and get lots of exercise in our backyard. I would love to hang out with your pup and play! I will come to you to make them feel more comfortable in their own environment.
“Albina was amazing! She continuously updated me on my puppy. I obtained photos, confirmations in feeding, adjustments when needed, and so much more. Overall, she made my first experience with Rover great. I will be using her services again.”

“Kimberly did a good job watching Dexter. This was our first time leaving our puppy with someone since getting him back in February. It was hard leaving him but he came home excited to see us and slept. ☺️”

“Max had a wonderful time spending the day with Roger and his two dogs. Roger provided many pictures and a great summary of Max's time spent there. Highly recommend.”

“Darrilyn was an amazing puppysitter! I brought my 2 year old labradoodle, Pluto, to stay with Darrilyn during the workday. My new job is an adjustment for both myself and Pluto with the longer hours, but having someone so caring and patient has made our transition much smoother. We can't wait to rebook!”

“Maria has been a LIFE SAVER for me. I work full time in Chicago and I needed someone who was able to take my dog M-F but I didn't want to bring my dog to an impersonal day care. That's when I found Maria. I really love that Oliver (my dog) is safe in Maria's home and also able to go to the dog park everyday. When I pick him up he is a very happy and tired dog! I could not have asked for a better situation and we consider Maria part of the family. She treats my dog as if he was her own and for that I am so thankful.”

“So incredible! She is very attentive and responsive! We got video and photo updates throughout the day which made me know our dogs were well taken care of! Our dogs came home happy and tired! There is honestly nothing better than that. Cannot recommend Vanessa enough!!”

“Diana and Brian were so nice and welcoming! True dog lovers! They sent us videos and pictures of my dog Kofi during his first stay with them to ensure me my dog was having a great time. I will leave my dog under their care again with no hesitation. Huge thank you, Diana and Brian!”

“Awesome experience! Kimberly was very quick to respond to my request, and schedule a meet/greet. Louis is typically shy at the start, however Kimberly provided great updates during the day as he warmed up. At pick up, Louis was running around all over with her two dogs. Thank you Kim, appreciate you and the warm care you gave Louis!”

“I was so happy to find someone that gave my pup all the love & attention!! Enzo looked so happy & I know he had a great time. Ana was great with communication & caring for my dog, we will definitely keep in her in mind for the future. Thank you again!!”

“We did not have a lot of interaction with Pennie as our plans were rather last minute. We dropped our dog ioff for the first time early in the morning and picked her up late that evening. Our dog came home happy and very much herself. This is a big deal because normally our dog comes home from boarding anywhere and is unhappy and sometimes even sick from stress. This tells me Pennie went to great lengths to make her happy and comfortable. Would definitely use Pennie again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 605 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Plattville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Plattville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
