“We contacted Veronica somewhat last minute due to evolving travel plans, and she was responsive and accommodating. Our plans changed a bit even after we had hired her, and she was able to adjust and take on some extra visits. About: I have been pet sitting for many years. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, and even a chameleon. I really have a special affection for dogs. I connect with them and they with me. I have friends whose dogs freak out when they see me after not having seen me for a while. I can see that all your dogs needs are met, including medications, special foods, treats, and a good night's sleep. I have a fenced-in backyard where your dog and mine can frolic while I keep an eye on them. I always supervise and dogs aren't left on their own.

Part of caring for them is learning what makes them unique and how to create homeostasis. I can provide an observational report with training suggestions for you upon request. I look forward to working together soon! I currently have flexibility in my schedule for caring for local animals. I am open to a weekly training schedule (limited space availability). I can provide feedback for ways to create a more harmonious environment and relationship between animals and persons. If there are any behaviors of concern I will observe and provide information. “Abby was so great with our puppy, Ferris! It can be stressful trusting someone else with your pets for the first time but we had no worries after meeting Abby! She's professional, friendly and Ferris took to her immediately. She even sent us pictures and an update. We will definitely be using her again!”

About: I’m available for everything from potty breaks every 2 hours to setting with them during a storm. I can administer meds and have experience with deaf and blind dogs. I’m a stay at home mom who prefers to homeschool my teenager. My schedule is very flexible. I can stay with your fur baby for a short visit or a lengthy visit allowing for outdoor time. I am available for you and your pet family and what your needs are. Your fur baby will be cared for and given the same attention and love as I’d give my own. I am quiet and soft spoken by nature. The family cat that hides from everyone doesn’t seem phased by my presence. Timid dogs do not feel threatened by me. I am happy to do small things around the house while your pet has outdoor time or potty’s. Water plants, collect eggs, get the mail, maybe even leave a few lights on at night to make it look like someone is home to passersby neighbors and cars. What ever you need me to do to make your time away from your fur baby as stress free as possible.

“I am so thankful to have found Ava on Rover.com! She’s very knowledgable, having had her own dog care business before moving to Floyd. She’s super prompt in her responses, agreeable regarding special requests (a drop-in visit on Thanksgiving Day!!) and her love of animals is quite obvious in her interactions with our poodle-mix, Bug. She sent photos and a video clip immediately after her visit, which enabled us to continue enjoying our holiday while away from home. In addition to all that, Ava is just a lovely person, warm and personable and easy to be around. I couldn’t be more pleased that she lives around the corner from us, as I know we’ll be getting together again!”

Nancye D.
“If you can trust anyone with the safety and care of your pet, it would be Nancye. Nancye cared for her last rescue pet till the bitter end while holding her paw at the vet. Her pet was disabled for the past two years in which she had her whole home fixed for her precious pet to be comfortable with clean diapers constantly. Had a back legged wheels for her to be able to motivate long as possible. Nancye has a heart full of love to give any pet. I know she keeps the local pets in treats and clean water when needed. My Labradoodle fell in love with her the first thing. There should be no one ever to worry about leaving their pet(s) with her. She has had a pet most of her life and still has room for more love to give.”

She’s super caring and loves all animals like they’re her own, she followed all directions we left perfectly and we came home to happy, clean, and safe little puppies. There is no one id rather recommend to intrust your fur babies to, she will 100% do everything she can for them and exceed your expectations.”
