“My pups LOVE Ashlee. We use her for boarding whenever we are out of town but I’ve recently requested her services for drop ins while I’m at work. She was flexible with the times I needed and willing to take the pups on multiple walks! So thankful for her!”

“Katelyn arrived on time and communicated with us during her visit with Ozzie. He is diabetic and she gave him his insulin injection and other meds. She took really good care of him. We will definitely call on her again.”

“Madelynn was amazing with my kitties, and gave them loads of love and attention. She sent great pics & kept me updated the entire time! I felt so much more comfortable with her there. She was warm & friendly, wanting to introduce herself beforehand, and gave some information about herself, which made the whole process that much better!”

“Kaylee is an excellent pet sitter and was so accommodating and helpful. She went above and beyond, and we were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about the pets. Would definitely book her services again!”

I would love to watch your dog in your home, or swing by for potty breaks after meeting the dog a few times prior.

About: I’ve grown up alongside dogs and other animals and helped take care of them since I was young. When I was sixteen, my family adopted our puppy Sal at eight weeks old, and it was my responsibility to take care of him, train him, and love on him. From there, I volunteered at Almost Home animal shelter in Van Buren for two years, where I walked dogs of all sizes and weights, played with them, fed and cared for them, and cleaned out their kennels and bowls. As of now, I’m living away from my family dog since I’m in college, but I’m helping a friend of mine walk and train her newly adopted Cane Corso (she’s a sweetie). I’ve watched dogs for friends and family all through the years, as well. As far as cats go, I’ve loved them since I was a kid, and I adopted one two years ago! His name is Walter, he’s a tabby and the sweetest boy alive, and I love taking care of him, even if he shreds my arms sometimes. Pets need love and patience, and that’s exactly what I have for them. :) I’m currently in college, so while I have a couple of busy days (Mon., Tue., Thur.,) the rest of my week is very free! And I always have plenty of time for sitting. I can easily adapt to your pet’s regular schedule, including mealtimes, bedtime, medication, if they need to be crated, playtimes, etc. The comfort and happiness of your pet is my first focus.

About: I have over five years of experience caring for dogs and truly enjoy spending time with them. I believe every dog deserves patience, attention, and care tailored to their needs. I always do my best to make sure each dog feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for while they’re with me. I am currently a student at the University of Arkansas that works part time before class however I am completely free after class and all day Friday-Sunday. I live in a townhome with a backyard, although it is not fenced. I’m happy to provide crate care when needed and can take dogs outside for walks and bathroom breaks on a leash. I’m also comfortable traveling to clients’ homes for both quick check-ins and longer visits to make sure their pets are comfortable, cared for, and have everything they need.
About: Hi I'm Jessica! I am currently a senior at the University of Arkansas majoring in psychology. I have been a lifelong dog lover. So much so that some of my favorite movies growing up were the Air Buddies series! I grew up with a dog, so caring for pets has always been a part of my life. Since sophomore year of high school, I've pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors, giving me experience with pets of different sizes, personalities, and routines. I know every dog is unique, and love getting to know what makes each one happiest. I am always up for an adventure, whether that is long walks, playing fetch, or relaxing with plenty of cuddles. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I'm dependable, patient, and will treat your pet(s) like they're my own. You can also count on regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands. I cannot wait to meet you and your pet(s)! Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I know every pet has their own routine, so I take the time to learn their schedule, feeding instructions, exercise needs, medications (if needed), and any other preferences to help them feel as comfortable as possible. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect. I'll keep your pet's routine consistent, make sure they get plenty of love and attention, and always prioritize their safety on walks and during playtime. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.

About: I’ve been around dogs and animals my entire life, and I’m definitely the person who will ignore the humans in the room and go straight for the dog. I’m responsible, attentive and very comfortable stepping into a pet’s normal routine, whether that means walks, playtime, medications, sticking to their feeding schedule or just providing some excellent couch companionship. Every pet has their own personality, quirks and very specific opinions about how things should be done, and I’m happy to follow their lead. I’m especially good with dogs who need a little extra patience or reassurance when their people are away. I’ll treat your home with respect, keep you updated so you know everything is going well and make sure your pet gets plenty of attention while you’re gone. Fair warning: I’ll probably give them a ridiculous nickname by day two. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I can work around your pet’s routine instead of expecting them to work around mine. Walks, meals, potty breaks, playtime and bedtime can all stay as close to normal as possible. I’m also happy to spend plenty of time at the house, so your pet won’t just get a quick hello, a bowl of food and a disappearing act. If they’re used to having someone around, they’ll have me around. When I’m staying in your home, my goal is pretty simple: keep your pet happy, safe and comfortable while you’re gone. I’ll follow your instructions, pay attention to the little things and treat your home the way I’d want someone to treat mine. And you won’t have to wonder what’s going on. I’m happy to send pictures and updates along the way. I know you’re trusting me with your pet and your home, and I take both seriously. Even if your dog and I are having very unserious conversations while you’re gone.

I live in a safe and pet friendly townhome with plenty of grassy space behind my home and several parks nearby for walks and exercise. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
