Caring for Nola has given me hands-on experience with senior dog care, giving oral medications, preparing meals for special feeding needs, and following consistent routines. I also understand that some pets need extra reassurance, especially during thunderstorms or when their family is away. I’ll take the time to learn your pet’s personality, follow your care instructions closely, and keep you updated with photos and messages. My goal is for your baby to feel safe and loved, and for you to feel comfortable knowing how they’re doing. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan visits around your pet’s usual routine. Caring for my senior dog, Nola, is already part of my everyday life, so I understand the importance of consistent meals, potty breaks, medication schedules, and companionship. We’ll discuss your pet’s needs before booking to make sure I can give them the time and attention they deserve. In your home, I’ll follow your pet’s familiar routine and your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, medications, and any special needs. I take a gentle, patient approach and give pets time to feel comfortable with me. I’ll check that doors and gates are secure, use a leash for walks, and stay mindful of anything your pet could get into. For cats, I’m especially careful around outside doors and respectful of their need for space. Before booking, I’d like to learn about your pet’s temperament, habits, emergency contacts, and veterinarian. I’ll respect your home, send photos and updates, and contact you promptly if anything seems unusual.

About: Hi! I’m Shalesa, a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I grew up around dogs and currently have two fur babies of my own, Laila and Deuce, who are a huge part of my family. I previously worked as a receptionist at a veterinary clinic, where I gained valuable knowledge about pet care, health, and safety. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have regularly pet sat for family members and friends over the years, giving me experience with puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, and dogs with different temperaments and needs. I understand that every dog is unique, and I strive to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while you’re away. Whether your pup loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’m committed to treating them like one of my own. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, I have the flexibility to come home during my lunch break for potty breaks, walks, feeding, and check-ins if needed. Outside of work hours, I am available for morning, evening, and weekend care. I would love the opportunity to care for your baby like they are my own while you are away. I have an 11 year old Yorkie named Bella who stills plays all day with the energy of a puppy. I am only able to host small dogs within my home and my baby would love to have a friend her size running around here. However, I am happy to care for any type/size dog within your home and for walks. I am currently working only two days a week so I have plenty of availability to care for your babies like they are my own! I have a fenced in yard with lots of area for your pup to run around! I also have a stroller available for any small/medium dog that is unable to do a full walk so they can still be included in the experience!

Due to my apartment complex not allowing pets, I care for pets at clients’ homes, whether that’s through pop-in visits to the home or housesitting for the amount of time needed. I communicate with clients before and throughout the visit to ensure they are kept in the loop while I care for their pets, including photos, and I never hesitate to ask questions if I have any.
